| 62 /100 Herberg de Barriere (Bar) GULLEGEMSTRAAT 1 “Found this place by accident when walking from the Mythe to the Leeuwke. Appears to have recently been modernised and reopened as a beer café. The décor is actually pretty crap but is sadly typical of many new places in Belgium. Service was also a bit indifferent. On the plus side the beer menu features the regular beers from De Ranke and stuff from other locals such as Gulden Spoor & Plukker making it a more interesting beer destination than the Mythe. Food was pretty good - a range of croques are named after famous train stations and the café is next to Wevelgem station on the level crossing. One worth watching.“ |
| 72 /100 Bierhuis de Mythe (Bar) GROTE MARKT 16 “Nice locals place recommended in Tim Webb’s guide. Reasonable beer menu with no surprises and a nice outside drinking area at the back. Good service and worth a look if in town. The bells from the church opposite can be hellish.“ |

No Saison, Cuvee, etc. Once said to be the brewery "tap" but I wonder if that is still the case. An odd little place that is extremely Belgian in its own quiet way. If I was traveling with my kids I might seriously bring them here to play while the grownups drink XX Bitter.“ |

Selection was good, despite the fact that they’re closing for renovations tomorrow for ten days or so, and on 4 March they’ll open from the opposite end of the same building, and thus their address will change to De Toekomststraat. Selection included a nice range of gueuze.“ |

Not the cheapest of places but, nonetheless, highly recommended.“ |

Unfortunalely no Noire,Saison or Cuvee.Weird place -spacious and modern, a bit like a service station and even has petrol pumps outside. Good service. Near the excellent Bierwinkel Bacelle beer shop.“ |

You may be able to find some great belgian beers with the inclusion of Wevelgemse Tripel, a softer, tweaked version of Guldenberg.“ |
