“Big, wide open layout with high ceilings. Beer section is in the back to the right. Amazing amounts of wine and liquor, as well. Great collection of singles. Pricing is excellent. MUST stop in the Cincy area.“

“Huge beer, wine and spirits warehouse, which features the New Riff distillery in the car park, which is one of the leading new craft distillers in America. Guy who owns New Riff used to own Party Source. Inside there's a huge range of beers, both national and local and also international. You'll find something you'll like. Had Ten Fidy and Crooked Stave stuff in on the rarer side, otherwise just a huge range. Also worth checking out the great range of bourbon whiskies.“

“Visited later evening on a Tuesday night. Older, somewhat beat down building on the main street along the river in Newport. Street parking was available on a Tuesday, though may get crowded on weekends. Enter by walking around to the side of the building. 15 seats at the L shaped bar, high top bar tables around the perimeter of the room. In addition to bar and high top seating, there is a nice outdoor area with picnic tables. Beer selection is 6 house beers (5 of 6 beers are dark styles) along with 1 guest cider. Good relaxed local crowd. $2 - 5 oz pour, 4 x $5 oz for $7, pints and growlers available for most beers. Service was efficient.

76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited on a Thursday evening. Easy to find just across the river from Cincinnati. Huge store, exactly as billed - pretty much anything you would need to throw a party seems to be here - balloons, glassware, napkins and booze, booze, booze. The beer is located in the far back corner, where the entrance to the 8 Ball brewery is. The beer selection is impressive, though much of the craft is stored warm. Single selection is solid, especially with local beers. Certainly a good stop for a traveler looking for some beers for the hotel.

82 = ★★★½ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Nice little place to have a beer - was there on a Sunday which is apparently a better time to go - parking limited around the area. Only one person working the bar so she was incredibly busy but efficient. A selection of 4 of their beers plus a couple of guest taps. No food - had popcorn (and some mini candy bars for Halloween). Interesting place.“

“Biggest problem on a dark night: finding the place. It sits 30 yds off Fairfield Ave, and I drove past three times, asked for directions twice, and when I found it, wondered how I ever missed it in the first place. Friendly service, brews that are good to very good, nice crowd, $7 for a 4 beer flight, bright future here“

“I went for the Alexandria Kickstarter campaign 2.0. The ambiance was great. of the 7 taps, 5 were home beers. street parking. there was a BBQ food truck outside. very friendly service. has wifi. their phone number is hard to forget. decor reminds me of Urban Artifact. a flight is $7 and consists of 4 5oz pours. full pours range from $5-7.“

“We visited Darkness on a Friday after work about a month after they’d opened. The place is in Bellevue along the main drag. I’d never gone past Riviera Drive (i.e. The Party Source/Ei8ht Ball/New Riff), so I had no idea what route 8 was like through Bellevue and Dayton. And it sucks. One lane each way, constant traffic. So going the extra bit to Darkness takes an obscene amount of time each way for such a short distance. The second inconvenience came when we walked in with our son, who was asleep in a stroller. They claimed Kentucky law prohibits minors from being in bars, which I’m assuming are defined as places that don’t serve food because I’ve seen plenty of kids at Hofbrauhaus, for example. So we went out on the patio, and they told us this would be the last time we could even have him there. I ordered a flight of 4; they had 3 house taps on out of 7 total taps, so I had to supplement with a Country Boy brew I’d had before. The beers were good; two I liked and one I didn’t. The bartenders were friendly. The place is smallish but comfortable. It’s a place I’d come back to so I could keep up with their offerings, but the dual knocks of not allowing kids and having to deal with traffic mean that this will be a rare visit for me.“

“Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Small parking lot is available, but most people just park along the street. This place is very close to the Party Source, so if you stop at one place, you may want to also stop by the other. Inside, the place feels like a person’s home. Not that it necessarily looks like a house, just that it feels welcoming and homey. I think that’s a good thing. On my visit, they only had 4 beers of their own on tap, but they also had some nice beers and ciders on tap that were local and worthwhile or high quality craft beer. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered a 4 beer flight and it had good variety. A mild, black IPA, coffee stout, and smoked porter. All things considered, this place is pretty cool, and I will check it out next time I’m around.“

“Stopped in here on a Friday afternoon(3 or 4pm). Nice place inside. Owners are "homebrewers" that everbody said should start a brewery. The best beer I had there was the smoked porter, better than most, worse than the rest(okay high 3’s). They had two summer wheat beers of theirs on tap that I thought lacked somewhat in flavor(hef & straight up wheat). Wished I’d waited a week, after those beers blew, some stouts and IPA were to follow. Definately worth a stop.“

“Funny exterior that looks like a big balloon shop, but this is most definitely a liquor store. Very large and open with little help of guidance. Beer selection is pretty big with lots of imports. Prices are OK and they have a sale table with some great deals. A must if you are in the area.“

“Ugh, just lost my rating. Anyway, I must be spoiled, because given the gigantic size of the place I expected more from the beer selection. Prices seem good, and there’s a section of singles which is also nice. I did find some nice beers on the bargain table, and I can’t say I’ve seen a better selection since I’ve been here. I’m sure I’ll be back.“

“Visiting Cincinatti for the week left a lot to be desired in terms of selection partially due to Ohio’s 12% abv cap. Luckily I was pointed across the border to KY and stumbled upon a HUGE selection. I left with a CASE of Deschutes Abyss and a few other hard to find seasonals. Also nice to have the Ei8ht ball bar/brewery in the back that does a rare beer tapping every monday.“

“One of the best bottle shops I have been to. Big dedicated parking lot with plenty of parking. I was in a hurry with my wife and two dogs in the car. I can usually get help on some of the beers! I have had up to three guys helping me in the past. Found beers I don’t think I would have found in the time I had and hooked me up with harder to get brew they had in reserve in the past. This place has a great selection, lots of singles, and in particular they have a great selection of Belgians and Mikkeller. They also have the bar in the back right and a crowler station on the right in the middle. The pricing this last time was some the best prices I have seen.“

“Seriously big joint, one-stop shopping that left me quite pleased. Vast, well-arranged, and with seemingly endless little pockets of beer that I kept discovering. Quite honestly, more than I could process during my quick visit. Helpful staff pointed out some particular goodies. Scooped up some Three Floyds, several local bottles (from Country Boy, Rivertown, Moerlein, et. al.), and along the way noticed what a good range of U.S. and European craft they had. Everything fresh and well represented. Definitely a priority stop if you’re in the area.“

“Wow....you can easily get lost in this store. Along with beer, lots of alcohol options, party favors, cigars, and a brewery, all packed into a monster looking warehouse. And to boot, a distillery out front. On a day vacation with family, so it was somewhat difficult to get the full experience as I had to deal with my little ones, and yes, kids are welcome. Great selection of local, regional, and national/international. Saw some good deals with price labels in red indicating "$2 Off" regular price. Friendly staff that were willing to help, and easily recognizable. Definitely worth a stop in the area. Neat area overall, with lots to do both for kids, and adults. Highly recommend to others“

“made first visit yesterday. large warehouse type store that has pretty much whatever you want for party needs and booze and lots of snacks and finger foods. they have an extensive wine section I mean aisles and aisles of wine. but I was there for the beer. once I put the cart in the right direction I was ohhhing and aahhing. lots are great regional and national selections. at least for those that can be delivered to Kentucky. lots of bombers and singles to be picked over. in the back of the store was ei8ht ball brewing I poked my head in but didn’t have one. I found several beers that I have never had before and made my purchases. all the employees were smiling and happy and helpful. very easy to get to and plenty of parking. will be back next time I am there.“

“This store bills itself as the largest alcohol store is the US, and I have no reason to doubt that. The place is the size of the average local grocery store, and almost all of it is dedicated to wine, liquor, mixers, and of course, beer. The place has multiple Walmart-sized aisles dedicated just to bourbon, and they have a similar dedication to their beer selection. Kegs, bombers, single bottles, packs - if it’s distributed in Kentucky at all, you can likely find it there. If not, they’ll track some down for you.“

“Utterly massive beer/wine/liquor supermarket-type store. Beer has its own substantial amount of shelf space and was well organinzed. Very itimidating to walk in and try to pick out just a handful of things. In the very back next to the bar entrance, there’s a shelf dedicated to top-choice beers. Only time I’ve seen 3 Font Gueze and Evil Twin Even More Jesus just sitting around. Even the prices were very reasonable. If I were a local, this would easily be my one stop shop.“

“Selection, price and helpful staff. Wow. Huge store, great cigar, spirits wine selections. The beer? Everything you can get legally in this market. Plus Ei8ht Ball Brewery in the back. Wish there was one near my home. Ohio liquor laws and taxes have made this place possible. Evryone drives across the river to get deals. Makes for an artificially huge customer base. This results in a near perfect store.“

“The Party Source is like the Walmart of alcohol without the Walmart feeling. This place has more alcohol than you can imagine. But for this review let us focus on the beer section. I had to wander throughout the store searching for the beer, but when I found it and walked around the corner to discover the hidden treasure I was amazed. They have six packs sorted by state, but their single bottle selection is rivaled by none. I could spend a small fortune in this place. Everything was at a decent price as well. If it was not cheaper by a buck or two then it was at least the same as anywhere else. There weren’t really any employees around, but I don’t need someone to tell me what I’m looking at or help me find something. I was like Magellan exploring the new varieties of beer mine eyes have never seen.“

“Always a large place with a solid selection of beer. They have expanded to add a brewing operation and a craft beer bar. The beer buyer has gone on a quest and is bringing in new beers faster than I can drink them. Definitely my place to go for beers greater than 12% or breweries that don’t come to Ohio.“

“An awesome beer store in Bellevue, KY just over the river from Cincinnati. First of all it’s a huge liquor store and the beer selection doesn’t disappoint. There is a huge international lineup- basically they offer full lineups of all the international breweries you could want. Mikkeller, Beer Here, Amager, de Dolle, Nogne, 8 Wired, Moa, Evil Twin, djaelvberg, de Molen, etc. Basically a huge selection of international beers and not just 1 beer from each brewery but the whole lineup. It was pretty crazy. I have never seen anything like this before (not even at the top beer stores in the Northeast...from what I recall, Julio’s pales in comparison to this place). They also have American beers but not as impressive a selection. That is probably their weakness. Prices are going to be higher just because of the imports. And to top it all off, there is a bar in the back featuring Ei8ht Ball Brewery beers and 30+ other international impossible-to-get-anywhere-else beers. Growler fills are available. A do not miss beer store in Cincinnati, but your wallet will be sorry the next day.“

“I’ve been going to this place for years but today was the first time I’ve visited since the place expanded. The very huge beer selection is now a CRAZY HUGE selection Don’t be fooled by the new coolers near the register--they barely scratch the surface--head toward the back. The shelf space has increased at least four fold, with signs indicating local/regionals, imports, mead, sampler pack display, and many others. But there’s overlap in the categories so if you don’t see it one place, keep looking. Add to that the growler station, beer cave, kegs, glassware, other displays near the entrance and check out lanes and you have beer heaven or something close to it. And they’ll soon open a brewery and bar/tasting area. The one drawback is that a lot of the prices seem a little higher than in the past but don’t let that stop you--this is a must stop if you’re in or near the Cincinnati area. If you don’t find anything you like here, then you don’t like beer and should try wine or spirits (this place has a huge selection of these as well), if not milk and water.“

“PROS: Beer Mecca for the KY/IN/OH tri-state area (and maybe beyond). Makes Jungle Jim’s (Fairfield, at least) look like a slacker in terms of selection. I can’t imagine a better selection, arranged in a better way, and with the vast, vast variety this place offers (with one caveat). Never have I seen not one but two clerks specifically assigned to a beer section, ready to answer any questions. One fellow took me back to their growler station (more on that later) and let me try a few free samples. Beer was priced very well, and available in a cooler (about the size of my home in singles) or out on the shelves warm. CONS: This will sound strange to say, but I think they could do more with their space. Yes, there’s a megaton of beer, but even Liquor Barn (Town Center) has a growler station manned by a fellow (they already had two working the floor beer!), and pours a variety of beer servings. I could only get a 32oz. 64 oz. or a tiny (1 oz.) taster here, and the growler station was packed back behind closed doors in the stocking area. How awesome if they had a little growler bar area, pouring awesome beer in different measures while you shopped? Kinda like Louisville Beer Store on steroids. Anywho...food selection was a little underwhelming, but you aren’t really coming here for food, are you? OVERALL: This place is almost perfect. I’d feel fortunate (and bankrupt) to live within 15-20 minutes of The Party Source. Worth a trip just to experience this place (bring your savings account). Parking in the front.“

“The Party Source is as big or bigger that Jungle Jim’s for beer and much bigger that Jungle Jim’s for wine, spirits and cigars. The Party Source has a huge walk in cooler. Everything is sold in single as well a in packages. Good selection of beer glassware and a fair selection of home brewing supplies. Service is lacking both in knowledge and friendliness. They sell growlers of micro/craft beers now too! Beer shopping at the Party Source is a must when in Cincy. Update: Since their new expansion, this really the best place to go in the Cincinnati area, without question.“

“Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. This place actually has a parking lot, so that’s great. When you walk in, it’s like your in a grocery store, but all the aisles are full of liquors, beer, wine, and cigars. I was led straight back to the beer section, which is in the back right corner. Good lord. There are so many beers to choose from here, I think if you had a couple hours to peruse, you would still miss things. While I was there, a bearded gentleman was hosting a small beer tasting in the beer section for a donation of whatever amount you wanted to donate. Very knowledgeable fellow, as were a few of the other people I ran into while I was there. This place really is world class, and I hope to make it back here when I have more time and money to spend.“

“One of the best stops on my beer traveling vacation. The service was the best my buddy and I received in several states. Seriously. The two guys that helped us were awesome. It was late and a half hr from closing and they helped us in everyway. The selection was above average and of descent quality. My hat goes off to anyone that sells Kegs of 3Floyds that far from the brewery. I didnt find any rarities here but they do get limited releases from founders & gi. In the end if I am in the area again I’ll surely stop on over to party source.“

“Went here on a weekday afternoon, sat outside. Nice spacious balcony, great view of river and city. Available parking lot. Waitress was very nice, service was quick and fast, although I was definitely there during a slow period. Decent rotating taps, Bells, Rivertown, Mt Carmel, Moerlein, Founders, Great Lakes, along with some other crafts and macros. Typical stuff, but respectable choices. Bottle list has solid choices too. I had a salad that was the special for the day, it was OK - not worth the $10, though it was decently sized. My Founders Pale was $5.50 - bit steep for that brew, but that’s the riverfront for you. Overall, if you need to walk somewhere for a meal after a visit to The Party Source (across the street)... This is a far better choice than the tourist trap Joe’s Crab Shack“

“Large Wine/Liquor/Beer store right off of I-471 in Northern Kentucky. The beer is in the right rear area of the store. The have a large selection of both US and foreign beers. Beers are available in singles (huge plus) and in 6 packs up to cases. I do wish they had more singles outside of the cooler because it was hard to concentrate on picking stuff out while freezing.
