All Aboard Liquors (Beer Store)
202 S. 1ST STREET
“Back when I lived in Smithfield (up 146) I would have come here all of the time as opposed to Bob’s liquors in Eminence, but this place didn’t exist. Booze meant going to Ruby Tuesdays. Decent selection but couldn’t find any Tin Man. Did find 4 FFFs and plenty of Kentucky beers. Guy was really pushing the new Stone Woot. Better than the previous rating indicated.“

All Aboard Liquors (Beer Store)
202 S. 1ST STREET
“Overview: It sometimes shocks me to find that areas just outside of Louisville are still beer deserts- places starving for anything resembling craft beer. LaGrange, one of the more affluent communities in the area, is one such place. A dry county until 2005, the growth of alcohol sales here has been slow and painful- with many of the residents being so close to Louisville, I’d guess many still go there for their alcohol purchases. I’m not sure if AAL will change that trend. It’s a nice enough place, the building and inside seem new and well-kept. Service was friendly and offered to help on my short visit with Rob G. Selection goes beyond national craft, but not too far. Too much beer from CO and CA though they do stock some more local/regional brewers (W6, Schlafly, Tin Man, BBC, etc.) Most of the beer is in the cooler in the back, but there are some bombers on a shelf in front of the cooler. This place does have a decent selection of KY wines, especially from the surrounding counties. Prices are competitive with Louisville on most beers. PROS: Friendly service, nice location and building. CONS: No option for growler fills or singles (except bombers), OVERALL: Probably the best beer retailer in LaGrange, but it’s still just a trickle into a beer desert. LaGrange needs something more; it’s a town with so much potential beer-wise. There’s a small parking lot in front of the store, or if you’re already downtown, it’s walking distance from the shops in the area.“
