“Good selection of various styles. Service was decent, kind of a place to go and chill, with several sofas.“

“Pretty busy, but with lots of seating, indoor and outdoor. Right across the street from NOLA, was pretty good on selection and service.“

“One of the better brewery stops for beer in NOLA. A little far out for the city, but well worth the visit. They had a lot of ambitious beers, included two BA impie stouts and some mixed ferm stuff. 5 oz pours of anything — the sexy stuff can get steep. Service was fine and knowledgeable. Large beer garden out back makes this place a great chill spot too. Worth visiting.“

“Right on Magazine St, this is a pretty ordinary deli, but it has a few fridges of beers in the main section and a whole room of beers out back. Pretty strange setup, with a totally sectioned off room of beers. Some good lambics, wild stuff in general from all over, some Prairie stouts, etc. I don't know how this compares to other places, but this was decent.“

“Lager-focused brewery, with tons of pilsners and German lagers on when I visited. The tasting room is tiny, though they have a patio out back. Custom flights of 4 available. Bartender knew his stuff. Beer quality was above average but nothing was outstanding. Worth a stop if you have time.“

“A little bit north of the French Quarter, not too far from Brieux Carre. Standard, pedestrian stuff on tap for the most part, but they're mostly dialed in OK, and they do flights. Very ordinary place. Skippable.“

“A little out of the way, but still not too far from the centre, and worth a look. They are slightly more ambitious than the NOLA norm, with a BA impie stout and a few other interesting things on when I went. Flights of 4 available for a reasonable price. Friendly service and a nice outside beer patio. Recommended.“

“Cool spot with a lot of ambition, though the execution sometimes needs some work. They have lots of adjunct sours, but they're all kettle sours, except for one mixed ferm which was super acidic. They had two pastry imperial stouts that were decent. Flights of 4 are $13, but half price (!) during happy hour (4-5pm). Friendly service and cool warehouse spot, but with spotty beer quality.“

“1-year-old brewery when I visited. Huge place that clearly has money behind it -- located just outside the centre, far enough away that it's quite pleasant and chill around here. They had maybe a dozen or so taps, some good, some meh, some needing work. I tried about 8 beers there, liked their Czech lagers a lot, their WCIPAs had diacetyl, and the other stuff was fine. Service was over-the-top Southern care, which was great. Prices are reasonable. Flights available. Worth a stop when in New Orleans.“

“Massive spot in a humungous warehouse -- this place can fit a lot of people. Lots of beer on tap -- probably over 20 -- with flights of 4 available. Most of the beers are very pedestrian styles (lots of hazies and kettle sours), but they did have one WCIPA and BA stout, which were decent. Flights of 4 available. Service was friendly. Not a place for beer geeks, but it might be worth a stop depending on what they have on and if it's not too busy. Awful pop music (Spice Girls) was blaring. Not a stand-out but perhaps worth a look.“

“2 blocks from NOLA Brewing, so probably worth a stop just due to proximity. Beautifully designed, sleek tasting room with a real nice outside area. They had lots of taps, maybe 15 or so, with custom flights of 4 x 6 oz pours available for $15 plus tax. Beer quality was pretty middling with no stand-outs. They have some eccentric beers, but none of them landed well for me. Friendly service and one of the comfortable spots in town, but the beer doesn't stand out.“

“One of the most ambitious breweries in New Orleans and 15 years running as of now, with lots of mixed fermentation stuff along with more standard styles. Unfortunately, they don't really know what they're doing on the mixed ferm stuff -- I tried all 6 on tap and they each had some sort of fermentation issue, often lending excessive acidity or butyric notes. Their other stuff was better. Custom flights of 4 available. Service was unfailingly kind, at least the main guy serving us. Worth a stop, but be warned about their wild/sour/saison stuff.“

“Decent spot on the water, though you can't see the water. The place is a big warehouse with a taco joint in the corner. Beer-wise, they had about a dozen taps, with custom flights of 4 available. They had a couple of more ambitious barrel aged beers along with the more pedestrian styles that fill out the rest of the menu. Quality was OK, with some harsh edges on some of the beers but nothing too bothersome. Decent service and a worthwhile stop when you're out this way (~20 min walk from NOLA / Miel).“

“Long time spot, but I wasn’t too enthralled with it. For one, though they have tons of taps, they offer no small pours — just 16 oz or 10 pours by default depending on the beer. Taps were many and varied but not that interesting — I guess that’s the LA beer scene. Server was a total jerk, grudgingly giving a couple samples but refusing others, and outright ignoring me at the bar for an order. Why have so many taps if you don’t have ways of sampling them? This place isn’t so great.“

“Cool spot close to Avenue Pub, with a big courtyard out front (duh) and an old school, eclectic interior. They had about a dozen or taps. No flights but they’ll do half-pours of whatever default size they offer for each beer — so that’s 4 oz of some of the beers, which is nice. Beer quality is all over the map: I have a fantastic IIPA, an egregious BA sour, a couple ridiculous pastry stouts, and a couple middling beers. Service was alright — not particularly friendly but chatty. Worth a spot when in New Orleans.“

“Nice facility with plenty of seating. Beers are average with a couple exceptions such as their doppelbock and saison. I'd like to try more of their offering next time, but 3/4 of the beer I tried was unremarkable. Nice people that could use more beer knowledge, although I visited on a Wednesday so maybe during a busier shift they have stronger servers? Good branding and location worthy of a return trip.“

“Visited with Nick. We sat downstairs, classic bar interior. Plenty of seating. Some nice local and not so local beers on tap. I believe about 30 taps were on. Had some nice local IPAs and couple of Peche Mortel variations. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Would return.“

“Somewhat upscale restaurant with good local beer options. They had Ghost in the Machine on tap, also they tend to have Zony Mash, Gnarly Barley, Urban South. Of course selection is somewhat limited, but still good for a restaurant. Food was great.“

“Not far from the very center of NOLA. Narrow taproom with nice beer garden in the back. Quite crowded for the early afternoon. 20 taps with plenty of different styles. Wasn't to thrilled with the quality though. Worth checking out for ticking.“

“This one is a bit outside of the NOLA center. Interior is pretty basic and industrial, but hey it's a brewery. Very nice beer garden outside. Friendly service. 12 beers on tap ranging from different lagers to Saisons and IPAs. More beers in the fridge. In general quality of beer seemed very good. I wouldn't mind spending couple of rounds here.“

“Ah this was an interesting one. We escaped to this AC'd oasis from the scorching New Orleans heat. Main room had plenty of seating, but as I understand it's for eating and coffee so we had to get a special permission to enjoy our beers. The main room has bunch of fridges with 100-150 cans and bottles. Nothing seemed super interesting (since I'm in no IPA phase), but we managed to find couple of refreshing beers. As I was finishing my beer I noticed "Beer Room" sign. Turns out you have to go out through the back door, across the small inner yard to the next door to find yourself in beer cave. Plenty of local beers including Parish big and vintage bottles, also 3F lambics, two variants of BCBS, Prairie impys, Jester King, Abraxas variant. Maybe not that many modern hyped beers, but really good choice of some old school rarities (or they used to be rare years ago). Really good prices too.“

“Located not that far from the French Quarter and tourist sights. I've visited on two occasions both times in the evening. Medium sized patio and interior which is somewhere between cozy and basic. Friendly service. Nice selection of almost 20 beers on tap. Quality is very good and plenty of different styles ranging from modern to traditional. Well worth visiting.“

“So first and foremost this is a restaurant and it's not the cheapest one out there. Nothing super fancy either. Food is great. Had some bone marrow and then a steak, it was awesome. Beer wise they have couple of local crafts (Great Raft, Zoney Mash), two classics - Saison Dupont and Weihenstephaner hefe and 2 more US crafts. Had a Dark Lager from Great Raft which was pretty good. Anyway great food, good beer, excellent service and nice ambiance. Worth checking out.“

“Uniquely located in an old theater. The day we went they lost power temporarily but still served us until it returned. Could have easily asked us to leave and come back. Varied craft selection brewed onsite. Great flavors and interesting ingredients yield possibly the best craft beer in the New Orleans area. Some bar snacks but they offer food trucks normally. Only been once but can't wait to return.“

“Top-notch facility that makes an immediate impression. Well-funded but not snooty. Extensive craft selection brewed onsite with a very knowledgeable staff. Plenty of seating inside and out with an in-house restaurant that offers items such as bone marrow. Good place to meet a group and to watch a sporting event. Great location.“

“Unique and quaint. Nice size courtyard with plenty of seating. Inside area offers a few tables and a welcoming, long bar. Extensive selection with beers including ingredients unique to this craft brewery. They have beers that should appeal to non-beer drinkers. Great flavors available throughout their offering with some of the most unique I have encountered. Knowledgeable and quirky staff. Offer food but I have not had any. One of my preferred stops locally to see the obscure ingredients they use to push the envelope.“

“Large craft selection produced onsite of varied styles that are different every visit. Very large seating area in a converted warehouse. Beer is very good and the staff is very knowledgeable. Great place for a group gathering or to watch a sporting event. Haven't tried any food truck offerings but they are usually there. Great location close enough to the touristy area but in a truly local part of town.“

“Giant brewery in an industrial section of New Orleans. Tons of seating inside and out, cool merch for sale at good prices, kid friendly, lots of people waiting to take your beer order so you don't have to wait long. Food trucks every day; when I was there they were doing a crawfish boil. 29 taps, none of them guest taps! I had a flight and while the IPAs and barleywine I had were average, the sours were next level. When I go back, I'm drinking nothing but sours. The Triple Spilled series is particularly unforgettable. This is a must visit in New Orleans.“

“Smallish place right in the middle of a neighborhood. The outside seating area is twice the size as the inside and way more fun. Lots of high ABV offerings, which I didn't see in other NO places. Other breweries I visited had mostly sours, seltzers, lagers and the occasional IPA. This place has big bold DIPAs and TIPAs and Imperial stouts as well as some more traditional offerings. The quality of the beer was by far the best of the 4 places I visited in NO, with second place going to Urban South. If you like big bold beers, you have to come here.“

“Off the beaten path in an industrial area of NO, but it is within a mile or two of Courtyard and Urban South. Looks small from the outside, but big and very new looking on the inside. 17 taps; I had a sampler and the beers were so-so but everything else about the place was good. The pizza area took up about 1/3 of the main room and looked really good. Wasn't very busy on the afternoon that I stopped in. Very unique for New Orleans in that it is not busy or loud, does not have live music and does not serve cocktails. Chill spot to get away for an hour or two.“

“Great location, right at the beginning of Frenchmen street. Tiny place, but somehow they manage to fit in brewing equipment, 12 taps, a bar, indoor seating, a courtyard and a few tables outside. Every square inch of the place is utilized. The bartender was very nice and willing to discuss all of their beers on tap. I had a sampler; the beers were below average but I do give them credit for having so many different styles. This seemed like a place where the locals go to have a beer. If we hadn't walked right by the place we wouldn't have known we were there. If you're on Frenchmen street, why not begin or end your night here?“

“Small, dinky place with a medium size, dinky patio, urban decay decor; no flights (half pours offered); there is WiFi but staff doesn’t know the password, 19 beers on tap on the day I visited but it is hard to try many because - you guessed it - they don’t offer flights; beer I tried was very good making it a worthwhile place to visit; no food (perhaps because of the pandemic - no trace of food trucks)“

“Nice setting. Cool courtyard but it was raining so we sat inside. Good beer selection, knowledgeable staff and a relaxed environment. Interesting thing is there is a highly-regarded Ice Cream popup inside that had a steady flow of customers during the hour we were there. It's called Rahm Haus. Will return and hopefully sit in the courtyard.“

“Spring Break trip 2021 with redhot13. Third visit here, but first at new location on Camp St. in the Garden District. They are literally in a courtyard, with the brewery set back 50 yards from the street, and general picnic like seating throughout the area. From what I can tell, inside is pretty small, but is the outside that is the draw. And the beer which may be New Orleans best. Several different IPA options and a bunch of varieties you don't frequently see. Some sours and dark lagers, viennas, etc. No food, but street vendors on weekends selling their wares. Only criticism may be from when I am there, but don't always have a lot of beers on tap--I have not seen the 20 that other reviewers have quoted. But a top notch place with friendly people and good brews, this is a must visit, and we will return every time.“

“Also known as the The Bulldog "Uptown"...following The Avenue Pub...this is probably the best craftbeer bar in NOLA...with 40-50 taps...featuring a lot of great offerings and few throwaway's. Also a great place to watch the Mardi Gras' Krewe of Mid-City from (which I did). Although I usually prefer visiting breweries...when new to an area craftbeer bars are a great place to try local beers and get the skinny on where to go craftbeer-wise in the area. Bulldog is no exception. This is a classic place with a very cool interior and a great outdoor area. Visit if time allows.“

“Can't figure out how this place hadn't been reviewed on RateBeer yet...it's a must visit for it's character and vibe alone. It's a classic dive bar in a classic dive bar city for goodness sakes! But add a great craftbeer selection in cans...fresh and lots of local offerings and you have a winner. This is a must vist for any craftbeer fans in NOLA for at least a long weekend.“

“Very cool place in the middle of nowhere...at least to someone not from the area. No question it's an oasis in the area as it almost seems out of place and certainly unexpected. The ambiance and decor are a major reason for going here...as well as the outside seating. The beers were average to in some cases very good...but I wouldn't say great...at least when I visited. They had a nice variety...farmhouse, grisette, weisse, saison, sour, and of course some hoppy beers. My feeling was that the place would likely get better and needed to be visited again on my lext trip back to NOLA. Give it a try.“

“Before I tell all the reasons why I love The Courtyard...there's one above all others...how I found it...even though I researched all the places I wanted to visit on this trip to NO...for some reason I hadn't found this one...I was actually walking from my hotel to The Avenue Pub when I saw the lights back in the trees of a cool looking place...never expecting it to be a brewery...and a great one at that no less! And it just kept getting better...the look from the from and tables outside...the cool layout of the place...the decor...the staff...just the whole vibe. This is a place for great conversations. And yes...the beers were very good...I barely made it to The Avenue Pub (I was walking thank goodness...although that presented other challenges...lol). A must visit while in NOLA.“

“This is a cute little out of the way joint, an offbeat nano brewery. Their beer selection is great, I particularly liked the Pantapon IPA. Plus they have over 20 other beers on tap, the place is pretty stark, but that's ok, it has ambiance, its not that big. The service was horrible!!! I was the only one at the bar with two other patrons seated in the pub, and the bartender never acknowledged me, it took me a couple of hello's to get her attention, and she was right in front of me. After the hello she didn't ask me what I wanted, she ignored me and started washing dishes. Despite the good beer, I won't come back because of the rude service.“
