74 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY Very nice restaurant with quite a few craftbeer taps...worth visiting when traveling back and forth between DC/Baltimore and Annapolis. The food is very good...especially the seafood. The beer selection is pretty decent given this is first and foremost a restaurant. It can be a little hit or miss on whether you get some harder to get varieties of styles you like when you visit or if they are more run of the mill. The best place to sit is on the patio out back if the weather allows. Biggest challenge as others have mentioned...the place gets very crowded and in my experience they underestimate the wait times (could be unintentional...but do it often enough and you can’t really say that’s the case). Definitely worth checking out if passing by and the place isn’t too crowded. |
70 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY Food is really good, but pricey. Paid $20 for one beer and an appetizer. Nice selection of beer and other drinks. |
84 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY Good selection of beer and they rotate them, so come back, you can get something new. Food is really good. The wait can be annoying, so make reservations. One of my favorite local stops. |
94 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY Great tap selection and food is fantastic. |
90 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY my favorite beer bar in annapolis area. great rotating taps and samplers are available. Solid lists |
86 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY Best place for beer snobs like me in the Annapolis area. Heroes has more taps but these are better quality beers. Happy hour is great for beer and appetizers. People are friendly. Expanded parking area hopefully addresses the only real complaint I’ve had. |
90 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY I really llike Lure’s -- only problem is how crowded it gets -- often tough to even park within a comfortable walking distance! Very good food, with an interesting and changing selection of drafts and bottled beers. A bit pricey -- but good value in a flight of 4 drafts. |
74 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY Nice atmosphere with a large patio. It is a very southern and on the water feel. Great food menu with lots of good food. Beer selection had about 8 beers on tap and maybe 20 select bottles. They did a good job and i would say the selection is top notch for the area but i wasn’t blown away in comparison to other bar/restaurants. I will have to go back to comment on the rotation but defiantly worth a trip if you get there and can find parking which is most challenging. Go during off-peak hours. Beers are over 6 dollars which is accurate and reflected in value. |
90 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY This is the best place in the annapolis area for craft beers! Theres always something different on tap and an awesome 1/2 price happy hour!! Besides the great beer the food is awesome with different specials every fri, sat & sun. Very relaxed atmosphere with large outdoor patio great for spring and summer. If you havent been to Lures yet you must check it out!! |
92 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY This is the first place in the area where you could get a great selection of about 15 beers on tap. I used to go to Ramshead Roadhouse due to their vast selection of bottled beer but went to Lures to check it out and found better food and much better draft selection. There is a beer club which cost $30 to join and you get a free beer a month, a hat, and a free birthday meal (up to $20). Since I go there at least once a month this is a good deal. My favorites are the buffalo burger and the blackened tuna sandwich. Parking can be a challenge at times and they have live music on the weekends. |
86 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY Stopped in for dinner. Had the sampler which you get to pick 4 5oz pours from the taps for $8 which is a pretty damn good deal. Had the Black and Blue burger which was $11 and was pretty good. Had about 15 taps which werevery solid. In seems like they rotate there taps often. Service was very good. Awesome beer garden with live music.
For the guy who stated all his beers were over $7 I wonder what he was drinking. I think all of the Mikkeller single hops were on tap then, which you would expect to be over $7 a draft as they retail for about $8 each in bottle shops. Anyway, this is a nice little bar that is all micro taps. |
62 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY Visited for a mid-week dinner and some beers in July. My first impression was all the way positive -- good service, awesome Buffalo burger, impressive offerings on the 20 or so taps. There were 4-5 I’d not had! I was all happy until the bill came, and I realized each beer was $7 or more! Are you kidding me? So for 4 beers and a burger, my tab was almost $60. |
84 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY Good selection on the 12 taps. The bottle selection is pretty good too, but with what’s available on tap you don’t really need to go there. The food is really good and moderately priced compared to the previous resturant that was in this location. The decor and furniture/table seating was vastly improved too. I recommend the Bison burger, but get it on rye bread. |
92 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY I have been here a few times over the past year or so. It’s the best place in the area to find delicious beer on tap. The owner and staff are super friendly! Service is excellent and personal. The food is delicious with a great selection of local style seafood dishes. It’s a very family friendly place, but there’s a good mix of patrons. While they may not have a ton of taps, I never have had to worry if they’ll have anything that I’ll enjoy. I’m glad that Lures is here, and I wish them continued success! |
90 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY Nice looking place, very easy going feel to it but it is SMALL. They have outside seating but it’s not undercover so if you get there on a rainy Friday afternoon (like I did) it fills up fast. @ 14 rotating Micro taps, JIll’s (Lagunitas) Pils was a real winner. Food was quite good, lots of variety & price options. Live music scheduled on the weekends, although there was none w/we were there probably due to the rain-looks like they set up in the outside area. Be sure to get there during happy hour-ALL drafts 1/2 off & there are food specials. I’ll defiantly go back here w/I’m in this area; hopefully on a nice night w/we can sit outside & hear some good music! ***Note to owners*** You need to get that outside dining area under cover! ****Update**** Has become my favorite place in the Anne Arundel Co area when I’m on the "Western Shore" - when I can get in! Avoid Fri/Sat if possible, particularly in off season w/outside dining area isn’t open. |
88 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY Treadyroc’s description is well done. I would want to emphasize how congenial the owner and bartenders are. The draft selection is not huge (12?), but well chosen. A hop lover will be happy to note that they always have a few different handles devoted to his favorite flavor. The atmosphere and food are fantastic. Most importantly, the keg lines are very clean. This is exactly what Annapolis needed. |
72 /100 Lure’s Bar and Grille (Restaurant) 1397 GENERALS HIGHWAY It’s new’ish inside, & the decor is very clean & fresh. I want to know who they keep in the room over the fire place. There are 2 comfy chairs in front of the fireplace, but it doesn’t look like they’ve got any plans to use it for heat anytime soon. Large, open room for all seating & the small’ish bar. Couple of flat panel TVs over the bar. They’ve got a large patio, which looks like it’d be great for warmer weather. Even so, they’ve got plenty of propane heaters out there.
Food was great. Rockfish bites batter was just about perfect. The "Lure’s Special" was a good sammich, in my book. Wife had the crab salad sandwich, which was full of lump backfin. Servers were prompt & polite, even though there were only a couple of them working.
Selection when we went included Rasputin, Green Flash Hop Head Red, Ruination, Hairy Eyeball, & several others. As far as quality tap selection in the Annapolis area goes, this place is probably it. Best part is that happy hour is half price on ALL drafts. |
