“This your typical Total wine setup, shopping mall. As the norm you can find a wide range of craft singles from the region. This one though is stocking a lot of out of date, past best before date product. So while it seemed I was getting a lot of new ticks, most of them are horrible. Buyer beware!“

“Good gravy this place gets loud when it's full. Like, can't hear yourself think loud. Maybe some acoustic tiles or something. Service is solid, selection is varied of their own stuff, which is usually ok to good. Price is slightly on the high end for brewery direct consumption. Overall, if you like crowds and noise, by all means check it out, but I recommend going on off hours.“

“Free dedicated parking. Service was pretty good a couple times. Big selection of single bottles and cans. You can bust up four-packs or six-packs to get a single. Online beer list is mostly up to date. I found this location better than the Towson TW&M, but not quite as good as the McLean TM&M. I would go back.“

“I've been to other TWs around the country and this might be the best one I've been in. The single bottle selection was a lot bigger and better organized than others I've been in. They had plenty of the new hot releases (Hopslam, Nugget Nectar, etc). Prices were average. Other than that it is your standard TW. A good option.“

“After a three hour journey from Richmond I finally arrived parched and thirsty for beer. On the door, a sign: Taproom Closed for private event. I was dejected but I badly had to pee so I entered walking past the office stiffs in my ripped jeans and Rick and Morty T-shirt. Maybe they would think I was in IT I hoped as I entered the restroom. Upon exit nobody stopped me as I walked up to the bar, the bartenders eager to give me beer. But alas I was too honest and told them about my trivails. “Sorry, you have to leave” came the response to my inquiry to quench my aching palate. I was crestfallen but couldn't move, frozen in place by sadness upon hearing those words thinking my journey was for naught. After a few moments of awkward silence, the kind bar gent offered me a few sips of beer nectar to help me on my journey. I partook. It was enough to get by, but I did not leave fully sated.“

“Moved up in the same shopping center to a larger space since 2017. Beer selection was huge before and even bigger now, plus there are fewer empty shelves. May be one of the best places to find local beers in the state. Customer service has also improved. Visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was the busiest beer/wine store we have ever been in. Just one traffic light off the Baltimore-Washington Pkwy.“

“I really like this place...tried to get here a couple of other trips but timed it wrong (once was a Sunday when they’re closed). Although the tap room is quite large...and is in the high ceilinged front part of a warehouse brewery...they’ve managed to make very it inviting with wood floors, leather couches, and lots of warm colors. The bar is U-shaped and sizeable. There were 10 beers when I visited this past Saturday earlier afternoon (already getting crowded at 2PM by the way). I tried flight sizes of all 10 and was glad I did. The best way for me to describe how good these beers are is to tell you that their representations of the maltier styles that I am not usually fond of (ex. amber ale, and Belgium strong dark ale) were very enjoyable to me...so that’s saying a lot. Three of the IPA’s were great (didn’t much are for the fourth one...a jalapeno IPA). There was a very enjoyable nelson sauvin hoppy ale on cask. Also, the two stouts were especially well done...the American stout and the barrel aged 2015 imperial espresso stout. After enjoying my beers (very much I might add) I asked if I could take some pictures inside the brewery...and they granted my wish (thanks guys!). The drain floor is one of the nicest I’ve seen with off white hexagonal tiles. There are a considerable amount of brewing vessels and they are canning and selling on site and around the area (definitely a production brewery). I climbed up on the brew deck and got some great pictures. Note that behind the U-shaped bar are large bar-height to ceiling windows that give a great view of the brewing equipment from inside the taproom. I felt the staff was very friendly and helpful. I understand this place gets packed and that they often have a food truck. There was a nice shuffleboard table too. These guys appear to be growing fast and expanding their territory with some very fine products. They are my current favorite in the area along with Union Craft on the north side of Baltimore. Make a point of visiting...not far from I95 between DC and Baltimore right on US 1.“

“Cool brewpub somewhere in the nether region between D.C. and Baltimore. Lots of beer on tap, and a nice, modern layout. I like the research and development flights they have on here - good idea, and a good way to make better beer. As for the other beers, they are mostly ok, with a couple of above average entries.“

“It’s Total Wine Etc., so the selection is extensive and there is a huge selection of singles so you can make your own 6ers. This place is only limited by the Maryland distributors, i.e., the Virginia Total Wine is always a treat when I get to the other side of the Potomac.“

“Jailbreak just opened up in an industrial park on Route 1 in Laurel, MD. The tasting room has a large bar with a view of the brewing area. The overall feel of the place is welcoming and they did a great job with the décor - ample tables and some comfortable couches. Their beers are quite good and I tried numerous ones, including The Big Punisher and Welcome to Scoville, a really (REALLY) good beer infused with jalapeno. They were both very good and I took a big growler of the Scoville home with me. Please note, they do NOT serve food for some reason (I think regulations). BUT they do have food trucks in the parking lot. Or, you can bring food into the tasting room.“

“Terriffic new local brewery. This review is just for the venue (the beer is great too). If anything this place is "too cool". Super clean, ultra modern restrooms. Great big bar area with enormous picture window so you can see fermentation tanks. Giant televisions to watch the game on. They have no food but there are often food trucks in the parking lot. They fill growlers too. A welcome addition to Laurel.“

“Laurel is long overdue for a brewery and Jailbreak has answered the call. Located in an industrial area, the space is large and open with ample parking and room for expansion. Nightly food trucks hawk grub for Jailbreak’s patrons patiently lining up in between pints. The beers are varied and fresh, and the staff does not keep you waiting long for your next pour. I am looking forward to Jailbreak’s future offerings.“

“Place is easy to get to and the building itself is basic looking industrial/commercial building. Inside is one giant rectangular room with the bar in the back in front of the glass windows showing off the brewhouse. Remainder of the open space is filled with tall tables and chairs, which is nice for a large group that ends up with some sitting and others standing. One side also has a nice lounge area with plush couches and a large shuffleboard. No food, but I believe at least one food truck is there daily. 8 house beers on tap and each was a unique style. Beers were pretty good and the brewery certainly seems to side towards experimental recipes and specialty ingredients. All around a pretty cool place.“

“Very convenient location halfway between DC and Baltimore, in between Rt 1 and the BW Parkway. In an industrial warehouse space, but the inside is ultramodern, especially the neat design of the hand dryers in the toilets. I don’t usually start my review of a brewpub by discussing the toilets, but in this case it seems justified. There is a large bar (in the brewery, not in the toliets), and so e picnic tables, all with good views of the brwery. Tours available as well. Huge parking lot, so no problem there. Food truck out front, with printed menues in the brewery, a nice touch. 8 beers on, tasters of 4x 4 oz for 7 bucks, so the grand tour requires two flights. Pints also available, although bigger beers are served in 13 ounce glasses, hopefully there’s no bad luck there. The beers are OK, with a couple of stand-outs. That’s a good start for a new place, the other beers should even out with time. An easy and worthwhile in transit stop.“

“Checked out Jailbreak on their 4/26/13 opening, located just off Route 1. No signage for them so the turn can be easy to miss. Good amount of parking in the lot. Good sized U-shaped bar, ample amount of tables, and a small lounge area with couches. 9 beers on tap available in tasting sets of 4 or full glasses. Tour was short but interesting to hear about things to come, they have around 10 barrels to experiment with barrel aging. Service was ok, slowed down as it got busier with more people. Restroom was fairly nice with a 2-in-1 hand washing/drying combo. No food but they allow BYOF and should have a food truck in the parking lot whenever they’re open. Look forward to seeing them improve and trying more brews.“

“Typical Total Wine layout with shelves upon shelves of beer happiness. Wide aisles easily accomodate shopping carts and the beers are well organized. Staff was very friendly and eager to help. Prices were certainly fair for the area. Selection was good overall, but they tended to not have many new special releases and focused on year-round favorites.“

“2012.01.05 - As noted, is a Total Wine. VA Total Wines seem to have a bit more variety but I think I saw some things here not in the Sterling or Chantilly store. Such are alcohol laws, like apparently you can't get Bell's in MD. Good store, definitely worth a stop. As with other Total Wines you probably won't find any true rarities but a wide variety of things you probably don't see in your local bottle shop.“

“’Tis your typical Total Wine, meaning there are plenty of singles to mix and match. The beer selection is good, though the VA locations have a little more variety. The staff is ever-present and helpful. My favorite part though was being in line behind a guy who pulled out a green plastic newspaper sack to fish for change to pay for his "beer"; classy.“

“Lots of BMC line the back coolers with an aisle of craft and other sixers. They have a few lagunitas, bruery, and mainstream Belgians. They also have a limited selection of bombers. It’s kind of a dodgy shopping center so the only reason to come here is if you live close by.“

“Overall a good place for singles, good selection given the Maryland distribution limitations. Very busy place and aisles a little too narrow to navigate with banging your head a bit. Not as big as other Total Wine stores, a function of the specific location. Beer prices seemed decent although the 10% 6 pack discount disappeared. Service is great... lots of people with knowledge and helpful. No one was condescending when asking for "value" wine selections. Other than the crowding, a great place.“

“Decent selection- very large, sort of dull place with two long shelves of six packs and one rack of singles. Nothing too exciting on the singles shelve: Bruery Mischief, La Chouffe, Delirium, Saison Dupont, Black Diamond bombers, Cuvee Rene. Six pack area was Sam Adams all over the place, St Bernardus, Lagunitas, lots of oddball English and Scottish beers. Lady that works there was helpful and sweet and let me cart some empty wine boxes home. High point is the price. $10 Bruery 750s, $10 Saison Dupont 750s, $10 Cuvee Rene 750s. It’s like normal prices came back to life!“

“What I would call a superstore when it comes to beers. Very large store for the area sometimes I can find beers that are available in smaller less stocked stores than I can find here. They have the best on hand selection of keg beers (I look for interesting 1/6th kegs and always have a 1/2 keg of Guinness on tap which I can always rely on being in stock). You can always order anything in a keg that’s available but I like the on hand selection. I don’t know any place else in the area where the keg selection is as good.“

“This place was somewhat disappointing. Fairly large selection, though not necessarily as diverse as one would expect for a store of this size; they tended to carry the most obvious (and available elsewhere) choices for most breweries, as well as the most obvious breweries. Large selection of wines and liquors, and if you like Bud/Miller/Coors this is your place for low, low prices on your 24-packs. The quality beers are fairly well organized in terms of logical order (foreign and domestic separate; alphabetical order in terms of brewery). Their prices are good, I have to admit (for instance, they undercut my usual beer stores by about two dollars on every six-pack or bomber). I left with bombers of Cockeyed Cooper and Smuttynose’s Barley Wine, both reasonably priced. But here’s the catch of buying in bulk to give me those low prices. The “use by date” of the twelve-pack of Magic Hat #9 I purchased was over two months older than what I buy at my local package store. The Magic Hat I bought at Corridor is obviously not fresh tasting. Magic Hat # 9 at its freshest is delicate and yeasty with subtle apricot notes; in this twelve-pack the hops has gone somewhat bitter and that flavor drowns out the yeast. In short, I won’t be returning.“

“Wow, this place is intense. Contrary to previous ratings from years ago, Corridor Wine has really amped up their game in the beer market. Approx. 400+ beer selctions from Trappist, Belgian, imports from around the world, and a solid selction of micros from across the USA including new, multiple selctions of Black IPAs. Beer displays are infused into endcaps and the aisles of wines, plus a beer tasting amongst the wine tastings this afternoon! Prices were, by far, the lowest (Chimay Grande Reserve 750 mL $11.99, Dogfishead 60 min 6-pk $7.49, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale 6-pk $6.99) in the area. Downfall was that all beer sections weren’t ’faced’ or ’zoned’ causing me to look and search to see if product was in-stock; look dishelveled and too well shopped. Decent cigar, liquor, and premium sections and gigantic wine selection. A dominant operation-“

“I have been frequenting this location occasionally for many years (~3 times a year for 5+ years) and have definitely seen a turn in the business. Although selections today are greater than your usual store, they pale in comparison to that of years ago :(. Still a decent selctions of regional brews from VA, MD, DE, and PA and OK selection of imports but it has really diminished. Located in one of America’s original strip malls, the area has become very sketchy with challenging parking in this Laurel neighborhood and I have never been offered any assistance during any visit. Regardless, prices are fantastic and have been a clear, consistant win during every visit. Worth a visit-“

“Good selection but not great. I thought the selection was much better at Corridor. The bottle of Czechvar i bought was 14 months past its drinkby date. I did manage to find 1 or 2 there that Corridor didnt have. But thats not enough for me to go out of my way again. Update to rating: I must not have been looking too hard the first time in. I went back because its next door to a good hobby shop. I found the rest of the beer and was surprised by the selections of English brews and how much less they charge for Belgian singles than Corridor. I have changed my ratings to reflect this.“

“This is right off the parkway exit, which makes it convenient if you are going from BWI into DC. This is your typical wharehouse liquor-wine store. Beer selection is just ok, with an average selection of singles. Nothing interesting for the beer hunter, but good enough to stock the hotel room (DFH, Rogue, Old Dominion, Penn, Avery, Anderson Valley, etc). Belgian selection is rather slim. Prices are slightly higher than Astor. I did not care for the location of the singles, as I kept having to move out of the way for the wine shoppers with shopping carts. What really annoyed me was that three of the four bottles did not scan, and the cashier kept having to go to the CS counter to get a price check. HEY BEER MANAGER- ENTER THE SKU NUMBERS INTO THE SYSTEM! Needless to say, the people behind me were not happy. Next time, I will drive the extra 2 miles to Astor. I like the prices and selection better.“

“This place should be called Sins R Us. It is a huge store in a strip mall that sells mostly wine, but also as advertised the 500-600 plus beers (all sold singly!), cigars, chocolates and I don’t know what all else. Lots of US microbrews, but as some one else said, Belgian selection is thin comparatively speaking. Great place with pretty good service if you need help. Only complaint is the beer is located just to the left when you come in the door and I got run over by shopping buggies about every 2 minutes while I was ogling the beer.“

“Big huge box store, filled with nearly every kind of libation imaginable. But for some reason they only have one mead. Beer selection accounts only for a small portion of the store, but singles, bombers, 750s, 6 packs and cases are all avaiable. Belgian selection is thin, but they have a few things not seem around the area, like Angelique and Diabolique and such. Found some new (to me) regional micros that I didn’t find around DC or at Astor. They also allowed me to break some six packs. Good store. Prices higher than Astor but lower than DC.“

However, they do have Rochefort, and Celebrator and the best selection of Allagash I have seen anywhere! They must have had eight different Allagash ales. Excellent selection of Weyerbacher and Unibroue. A great place to find a wide variety of craft beer and it’s in Laurel?.....weird!!“

“This is predominately a wine lovers store. It is a convenient location for me, close to work. They have a lot of singles ranging from the the good(DFH, AVBC, Avery, Rogue, Victory, Weyerbacher) to the ugly (BMC). They have a decent selection of 750ml Belgians as well as German beer. They have a pretty solid selection(usually) but given the space they have they could do so much better by eliminating much of their cheap wines and stocking good beers. There are no windows on the warehouse type store, which is a good thing. Most of the beer is kept outside the coolers at maybe 60-65 degrees. You can buy much of what they have cold too though. You’re probably not going to find any rare or hard to find beers like oak aged stouts or anything, but it’s worth a stop if you are in the area. They do not have 3F, Stone, Bells, AleSmith, Russian River.“
