“Cool, scenic farm brewery not so far from Elder Pine. Definitely worth a visit if crawling around these parts. They have a really cool outdoor set up, including a number of cool teepee tents. The beers were available as full or half pints, so you can try a few styles if you are ticking. About 10 beers on tap roughly speaking, with some ciders. Beers were all above average, and had a nice variety of styles. Prices OK, service friendly enough.“

“What stood out immediately was the really nice, scenic views of the outside of the place. Really nicely built out grounds and inside is really cozy. Beers were decent. Staff was friendly. Line got kind of slow for taster flights on the day I was there. Growlers and crowlers available.“

“Came here on 4.10.2018. Great farmhouse brewery with a long camping and equestrian history. Very spacious garden with a nice view to a lake surrounded by a forest. Also nice ambiance inside and friendly service. They had 9 beers on tap. I tried the Oktoberfest, the spicy pumpkin blonde and the Beecher IPA - all excellent. They have cold food from the region (cheese, sausage, crackers). Really a positive surprise and worth a detour.“

ambiance: Out in horse country, about 10 minutes north and west of Brookeville Farm Brewery (BFB). Decided to hit up Waredaca after three separate attempts to visit BFB were stymied by the incredibly massive crowds there. When I go to a brewery, I don’t want to feel like I’m at a frat boy bar trying to get a drink. I’m a curmudgeon now, so I like a lively (but not crazy) place that isn’t packed elbow to a-hole and you have to fight for a drink. Waredaca fit the bill each time I went. Smack dab in the middle of a horse farm, the brewery and tasting room is a medium-sized affair with a good patio featuring floor-to-ceiling windows opening on to the brew floor. Decor is simple, rustic, and comfortable. Service: Wonderful, friendly, and responsive. Selection: All their own stuff, which is fine by me, as it’s all good. Seven selections on offer, so not huge. Then again, I like the focus on doing a handful and doing them well. food: As already noted, local meats, cheeses, dips, etc. Haven’t tried any yet, so no rating assigned. value: Very reasonable. Flights are a good value, and growler fills were in the neighborhood of 15 bucks or so IIRC. They also offer KEGS, which is hugely exciting. overall: We moved to the area in December 2016, and this place is about 15 minutes from the house, so it has definitely become MY local brewery. Good beer, good people, good atmosphere. Looking forward to many visits in years to come.“

“Cute farm brewery relatively in the middle of nowhere (think really agricultural). Went on a really hot day so the horses were inside. The brewery outside has many picnic tables and plenty of shade to sit outside and enjoy beer and the countryside. The inside is small but functional! Staff were friendly and helpful and they had a good non-alcoholic soda on tap for my non-drinking father. Flight was a good value. They did growlers and crowlers and sold regular growlers and insulated ones on site. Worth a drive!“

“This is a fun place. Middle of nowhere - actually, an attractive rural corner of Maryland, surrounded by picturesque historic towns. Once you find this farmhouse breweries you might have to dodge some horses as you approach the place. The tasting room and brewery are actually modern affairs set in the middle of the farm. The long bar was completely full five minutes after opening time, I got the last seat. Most of the surrounding tables filled quickly too. Seven beers on offer, each one very tasty, available as a complete flight, or full pours. Food is local cheeses, meats, hummus, etc. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and clientele were welcoming too. And the do growlers AND crowlers. Worth the drive from wherever.“
