“This craft beer venue is located in the Pike & Rose retail complex that sits along the mindless sprawl known as the Rockville Pike. It is managed by the same folks who gave us Churchkey and Rustico, two legendary Washington DC beer havens. Owen's Ordinary is sleek and modern with a dark woody interior and a medium-size bar (it could be larger). In addition, they offer a large patio outside and an attractive dining room towards the rear. The main attraction is the exquisite craft draft list; 50 rotating beers, including many locals alongside a decent choice of IPAs. Bonus: during my visit, they offered a choice selection from Modern Times, my favorite San Diego brewery. Menu was great - I enjoyed some fish tacos! If you are in the DC area without a car, you can take the Metro-Red Line to White Flint. Owens is across the aforementioned Pike. “

Ambiance: Located at the Pike and Rose development in Rockville (or as P&R call it, "North Bethesda"). Parking can be iffy, just use the garage. Inside is upscale bar/restaurant feel, similar to the Birch and Barley half of Churchkey. Lighting is very dim in the bar, which can make it a challenge to read the beer list. Service: Fair to good. Have been twice; service was decent once and nice the next. They aren’t setting the world on fire, but they aren’t bad or too slow. Selection: Great selection of local stuff on draft, so much so that I spent very little time going over the extensive bottle list. Food: Good, but not quite to the level I expected from Neighborhood Restaurant Group. Nothing I’ve tried here has been bad, but other than the skillet mac, nothing has been amazing yet. Value: Definitely on the pricey side, as you’d expect for a mid-upscale beer bar in the heart of East Potomac/West Aspen Hill. Overall: Will definitely go again, if for no other reason than to be able to try some Bluejacket stuff without having to go into the city.“

“New spot that is walkable for me from Neighborhood Restaurant Group(the people behind Churchkey and Bluejacket). Most of beer list is local, which is perfectly fine with me. Offers two sizes of pours. Food is pretty good.“

“Really cool new spot from the ChurkKey guys that is walking distance from when I used to live in this area. They completely redid this shopping center, looks like an overall improvement. Really nice tap list, especially for Montgomery County (or MoCo if you are shorting everything for no reason), where there are not a lot of good beer bars to be found. An especially excellent selection of MD/DC beers on tap. Nice bar area, restuarant area, and outdoor space. Food was delicious as well. I have to second Nick on Chicken and Bacon Wafffles, those were delicious, even though you stole the NoBe joke from Kramer and didn’t give him any credit! Anyway, the locals prefer to call it SoRo (no, that’s a lie, both SoRo and NoBe are terrible). Bottom line: Had I been able to walk here or stop here on the way home from work 10 years ago you wouldn’t have been able to get me out of this place. Since it opened well after I moved I’ll just have to settle for visitng whenever I’m in town. “

“ Nice place in NoBe (just made that yuppie BS up, please don’t make it a thing). A little chainy feeling, but otherwise very legit. Huge seating space plus an outdoor beer garden area. The food is very legit. Chicken and bacon waffles. Yeah. For real. Every bit as good as you think. Great beer list of 50 taps or so. Lots of local stuff, but a good mix. I’ll be back.“

“Visited with DCLawyer for their soft opening on Sunday night. Nice place in the recently opened Pike & Rose shopping district. At least two parking garages with very reasonable hourly prices, free for up to two hours. White Flint red line metro stop half a mile away. Bar layout reminds me of The Sovereign’s top floor. 20-30 seats at the bar plus a couple community tables and booth tables. Nice dining area further back. Friendly and attentive service. Very nice selection of beers for this part of Maryland, a good number from around DC, VA, and MD. The soft opening list was exclusively DC, VA, and MD brewed beers but the full 50 drafts has a good number of North American and European offerings reminiscent of ChurchKey’s list. Nice selection of bottles. Food was pretty good, won’t rate that yet as they were just bite-sized samples. Pulled pork slider, flatbread, crispy pork were all tasty. Sounds like it’ll be American-style gastropub stuff. Beer prices are about average for the DC Metro area. Will definitely stop by again during their regular operations. Great new place and well worth a stop, glad to see something like this finally pop up around this part of Maryland.“

“In the middle of nowhere, where I happened to be. Lots and lots of wine. Less beer and singles few and far between. Not much to say.“

“This is another one of those "should not be listed here" but there are craft beers available, so it will stay as a mere warning to anyone venturing here in search of beer. This is actually a convenience store on the ground level of an apartment complex. Upon entering, you are greeted by rows of cheap wine. The "beer" coolers are to the right, and there are a handful of craft micros alongside the macro swill. This place is very unimpressive.“
