“My homebrew club meets here, which means I have been there about 9 times in the past year. Definitely the best beer bar in Cecil County (if you don't count State Line). Probably the best between Newark, DE and Bel Air, MD. Not that it is great, just a bit of a beer bar desert around there. The selection turns relatively fast. Sometimes I go in and there are a few beers I want to try and sometimes I see too much of the bigger craft breweries. But they try. They even get GI BCS, so they know what people want. Food is average brew pub fare with an emphasis on meat. Service is good and the vibe is nice. The bar is built into a hill so cell service sucks. Area is split into 2 rooms, one more of a bar and the other has couches. A stage as well for open mic on Thursdays. A few outdoor area. If you find yourself anywhere near Port Deposit, this is your best shot.“

“Stopped by on a rainy Tuesday....Parking is easy. Cool/chill place. Small bar, decent amount of tables.. and a lounge area. Surprised by a nice selection of craft beer and semi knowledgeable beer staff. 12 drafts, 50 in bottles all reasonably priced. I had a pulled pork sandwich, no complaints. Overall. Worth a stop!“

“Previously known as Joes Grog house then a fire shut them down for a while. Came back strong with a new name, better beer selection and service that’s pretty friggin sweet. Very friendly and helpful wait staff. Beer knowledge is minimal but i dont rely on waitstaff for beer knowledge. A dozen drafts and around 60 bottles. Food is well done and portions are ample. The Korean beef over the kimchee,d rice was friggin yummy. Clean pissery, some live music if you stay long enough and lots of friendly folks make for a good time, TV,s if yer into that also. Worth a stop if yer in the neighborhood.“

“Right down the road from me. Cool ambience, lotsa wood. Service was decent with der cute little frauline outfits. Gotta love them pushups! Food is okay but just basic down home fair, nothin special except the pricing. Beers are all German fair and overpriced also, some old overpriced bottles as well. Come on its German beer and nothin special at all. Clean pissery and plenty of parking. Just a bit pricy for what u get. I’ve pretty much sworn off this place.head next door to Old South Smokehouse for 14 taps of good beers D food at better prices.“

“Authentic German food and beers, lederhosen and dirndls.Oh and an accordian player. Good variety of all German beer styles, including Rauchbiers and esibocks. Food is top notch, tasty and reasonable. The sausage platter for two was excellent.“

“Glad to see someone add this to the database. Small place attached to Ricks. They have recently added 13 new taps behind the bar! All of them solid craft brews. They have beer specials every day. 4- 12oz glass samplers for $7.99 are nice also. Service is always friendly and attentive. Food is solid and fairly priced.Clean pissery and a couple big screen tv,s to watch the game on too. You gotta try the Sticky on half priced burger night every thursday! Not the best Q in the world but decent. Manager let us know that they were going to start doing some beer tastings/events and to like them on FB to see what was happening next. Worth a stop if yer rolling down I-95 and need a bite and a good beer. Also, Ricks next door has a nice craft brew selection.“

“Ricks has been around a while. Used to be a BMC type of place but recently (last few years) they,ve been gettin into the micro scene. Had,nt been in there in several months. Was really surprised last weekend when i stopped in. They have raised the stakes when it comes to the micro selection. Lotta nice american stuff at fair prices.Place is small but well stocked.Gave it a good food rating because right next door they sell seafood, mostly crabs, in season. Right on the other side of the crab shack is the Old South Smokehouse serving up some fair Q and other somewhat exotic meats dishes. Thursday nights is half price burger night, good deals abound! There are a few micros on draft here also. Decent atmosphere and folks running them. Worth a stop if yer thirsty and or hungry. Will check back later on their import selection. Not bad for ceciltucky county, especially this part of it.“
