“Huge outside seating area, smallish bar inside, some tables. Bustling on a Tuesday night. Food available with daily specials. Did not ask about flights. Service inside is good. I think this might be the biggest place in Salisbury“

“Large gravel lot. Big open space inside with a bar and tables, as well as a few tables outside. Doing a brisk business when I was there on a Monday evening. Flights are pick four. Beers on the board without a lot of information as to what the hell they are, but the bartender knew his stuff, and the website seems pretty updated as well. Beers were pretty solid other than the Tropicale. Did not try the food, but there were a lot of interesting specials, as well as cheeses and charcuterie on the board. Happy hour prices kind of rocked, which made the taster option seem really expensive, but tickers gotta tick. Based on other reviews I guess I only visited the Public House side of the operation.“

“Enjoyed the ambiance of the public house side of the brewery; nicely restored, industrial atmosphere. Wall divided the bar area with high tops and table settings from the main dining area. Service was great. Our server was fast, friendly, knowledgeable and unobtrusive. Besides the menu, available beers and food specials were posted on a large chalkboard. Decent food selection and presentation, including cheeses and charcuterie. Definitely worth a visit.“

Cheers (Beer Store)

“This place is a little different than a lot of beer stores an RB’er might go in but a lot of things are different on Maryland’s Lower, Slower, Eastern Shore. Typical of many businesses down here who try & do several things at once to get by. Don’t let the gas pumps out front scare you. Looks like a typical gas & go beer store, but they have plenty of good beer to choose from. DFH, Allagash, Victory, Weyerbacher, Chimay, Thirsty Dog, Stone, etc...They have a lot of Macro swill here (They are a few blocks from Salisbury University) so you may walk in & see bulk stacks of The Beast or Miller Lite, but I’ve also seen bulk stacks of Weyerbacher, Troegs, & DFH. Service is good & they now have a growler fill Station. Limited single selection, good wine selection (no spirits-gotta go to County stores down here for that!) & a walk in Humidor w/good, but sometimes spotty cigar selection. Bottom line is, if you find yourself in the vast beer wasteland of Salisbury Md, (and God help you if you do!) this place is your best bet. At least someone down here is making an effort!“

“Cool place to visit. Came here at the end of a long day with three kids in tow. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Helped me select the best flight for tasting. Food was great, pub-grub but made with quality ingredients, well presented, and not over-the-top-gastropub style. Kid friendly and great Maryland brews. Will be back.“

“The first thing you see if a massive parking lot, so no problem there. Then you’re faced with a choice - tasting room on the right, or public house on the left? Not to worry, if you choose poorly they’re connected inside and out. We chose the tasting room and were quite happy because it was small, quiet, intimate, with friendly personal attention from the able barman. AND they had delicious fresh local oysters for $1 apiece. You have to visit the public house side to use the restrooms, and that side seemed more like a restaurant - every table full, even in the dead of winter when we visited - quite noisy and boisterous in a good way. So choose sides based on the atmosphere you desire. Beers are the same on each side - a tasty range of flagships and brewpub only stuff, plus a few 750 ml bottles only for in house consumption (local laws make take away bottles unprofitable). Large deck outside looked great for the summer. Worth going out of your way to visit.“

“Brewery with two areas, one for the tasting room and the other for the pub. Only checked out the tasting room on this visit. Very friendly and knowledgeable bartender. Dozen or so of their house beers on draft, flights of 4 taster glasses available for a bit over $5. Just under a handful of brewery exclusive draft beers available, especially liked the Lot 666, their amped up version of Lot 6. Bottles available but only for on-site consumption due to county laws or something. Growlers available to go though. Didn’t try the food but it looked pretty good. Well worth a stop.“

“Stopped by driving home from a work training in Ocean City, located near the college by the railroad tracks. After parking in the large gravel lot the options are the brewpub or a tasting room, we opted for the tasting room. Long bar has ~9 draft taps and a few bottle options, all beers were solid to great that we had. Very friendly service, nice pub atmosphere, fair prices too for samples. Overall great experience and will come back.“

“This a quite large but attractive place. More college town noisy rather than cosy. A dozen beers on tap -- all but one their own. They offer flights if four which is a good way to fairly inexpensively sample a bunch of their beers. All were quite decent and the food was above average pub fare.“

“Stopped on the way to Chincoteague, VA. Great pub atmosphere with a large sample list, very good food, and excellent service. Still haven’t had a bad beer from these guys.“

“I am not the biggest fan of rolling up to a brewpub through a large-cut, gravel parking lot, but there is plenty of parking, which is always a plus. The barrel-shaped bike rack was a nice touch, just below the waiting patio on the way into the building. There were about 4 hostesses who were all very young, and not very communicative but we found our way to the bar all the same. There were 2 bartenders who were both very helpful and very patient. They didn’t mind at all that I asked for a flight either (always a good thing). There is a very large menu on the wall featuring food specials, what’s on tap ( 9 Evolution and 2 visiting taps), and a few secret stash bottle offerings. We did not order food so I can’t say anything about that, though the specials sounded really good. Good sized bar that probably sits about 12-18 people. The dining room in the next room also looked quite large and accommodating. There is also a large seating area outside, and each table had an umbrella, in case of an over-abundant sunny day. On the whole, a really nice place. A couple of the beers were really good, with most of the others being quite decent. A happy visit in my book.“

“The bar area is a bit loud, but then again, it’s a bar. nice rotating selection of brews and I went with a sampler of four different ones. Friendly staff all the way and the service is good. The food was very good and the over all value is excellent. I would definitely go back.“

“Set in a large warehouse type building alongside a railroad line in Salisbury MD. Though just a touch pricy the brew selection from their own offerings was well over a dozen and the food was quite good. Our waitress was very friendly, quietly efficient and knowledgeable about the beer offerings. Quite an enjoyable experience.“

“Divided into restaurant and tasting room area..each has separate entrance..didn’t have time for tour or to check out the actual brewing setup..exposed brick wall with chalkboard tap offerings..main bar has about 25 seats and a few tvs above..do offer a nice sampler to taste various offerings..food did look pretty tasty and they recommend certain brews to pair with items on menu..soup I had was pretty good nothing great..seems like the tasting room area has the same draft offerings and cheaper eats..pretzels..etc..winter migration on draft was superb..bar service was good and they knew their stuff..nice to see evolution expand and get more recognition..worth a visit if in the area..“

“Evolution’s latest location is a major expansion over their former Delaware location. The new facility offers up large space for dining with a lot of tables well spaced throughout. One end of the building is a long narrow bar with it’s own exterior entrance in case you’re interested in just grabbing a quick beer or growler fill. Between the dining area and bar was a large room that can be rented out for private parties. Good servers who came by often despite how busy they were. Food was good with some safe choices along with some more unique offerings. Beer offered were basically all house beers along with room for 1 or 2 guest beers. Enough taps however to allow them to feature their core lineup along with a handful of seasonal choices.“

“This is a much larger facility than their original location in Delmar, DE. A large gravel parking lot greats patrons in front of the shiny tin siding building. We entered through the bar and were quickly whisked away to a table in the dining room whilst a band set up near the bar/kitchen walkway. While the walls are cinder block, that actually adds to the atmosphere in this urban/industrial/new age gastropub. Roughly 12 Evolution Craft Brewing beers were on tap accompanied by a single Flying Fish beer. The food was quite tasty and reasonably priced; the menu is short and to-the-point so you do not have to fight pages of uninteresting food to find the one plate you are most willing to eat. Our server was mostly attentive, though she only took two of the four drink orders whence she first graced our table. As dinner completed, we eased out through the new tasting room, again about twice the space of the old one, still adorned with beers silently sleeping in barrels, patiently waiting their turn to be bottled.“

“New home to Evolution Brewing since their move from Delaware. Full Production Brewery w/tours & a seperate tasting room, as well as Salisbury Md’s first "Gastro Pub"-as they bill themselves. Only craft beer available here, all the latest EVO stuff & a few guest taps to fill out the lineup. Food is quite good, some can be a little fancy but there are plenty of good basic choices as well. These folks know how to run restaurants, they had 4 in the area before they ever started brewing beer. Can be a little pricy, but they have happy hour specials, NFL specials, NFL ticket.... Outdoor dining area, sometimes have entertainment on the weekends. This place used to be an Icehouse so they have their own fresh water spring for water to brew the beer & serve in The Public House! Try the water.....not something you would usually say in a review!“

“Another place owned by Southern Boy Concepts, owners of Evolution Craft Brewery in Delmar DE & Spacific Gravity Pizzeria next door, as well as 2 Crabhouses south of Salisbury. Place is much more upscale than Specific Gravity Pizzeria & for years was basically a wine bar. Added craft beer & changed their name from Bistro to Beerstro to have a place to sell their own Evolution Brews, which are the only thing on tap. about 20 decent basic craft bottles, nothing really rare. Nice date place if you are looking for somewhere to take the wife/GF which is more upscale. Vast wine selection, some of which is VERY pricey. food is very good, can be kind of $$$, but they do have happy hour specials. Good stop if you want some better food & want to try the Evolution Brews.“

“This place is owned by Southern Boys Concepts, who also own SoBo’s next door & Evolution Craft Brewery in Delmar De, as well as a crabhouse & a resteraunt south of Salisbury. 14 Rotating micro taps, featuring the latest Evolution Brews in a casual, beer hall type setting. Menu consists of several styles of Pizza (obviously) which are quite tasty, appetizers, salads & wings. Nothing fancy here, go next door to SoBo’s for that. Food prices very reasonable. Can get a little hectic sometimes as it is very close to Salisbury University. Attached carryout beer/liquor store w/a pretty good micro selection for this area & a growing # of singles & Bombers/750’s. Working to overcome the antiquated beer/liquor laws of Salisbury/Wicomico County so they can sell the beer from the carry out side for consumption in the bar (maybe by April 2011). If you happen to find yourself in the vast beer wasteland of Salisbury Md, this place is your best bet if you are looking for a beer bar, particularly if you want to try the Evolution Brews.“
