“Cool place in the remote southern end of Maryland. Not really on the way to anywhere. Except for Calvert Cliffs, which is kind of like an "I'm bored of life" type day trip from D.C. and has some cool fossil hunting. Anyway, the place is cozy and friendly. Beers styles are a nice mix of beers that tend more towards the traditional American brewpub and thankfully not flooded with haze. They had 9 beers on tap when I was in, all available in a flight. I had the lobster bisque, which was good. Duck fries were good too. Filling. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. Beers were all good showings for styles, solidly done if nothing super out of this world. Good old lunch and some beer type place.“

“The beer is limited. The menu is standard hotel restaurant bar food. Nothing special.“

“Large place, shares the parking lot with a Hilton Garden Inn, so parking is easy. Big bar on the left, plus lots of restaurant tables. Seven beers on offer when I visited, and you can do a flight of all of them. Beers change frequently, so at least they’re not in a rut. All beers were light and easy drinking. Friendly service. Sunday brunch was OK, although I was hoping for more seafood. Decent enough place.“

“Stripmall location just before the bridge over the Potomac. Decent selection of fours and sixers, no singles. The only place in the area that had Mully’s beers in bottles. Decent selection of Troegs too. Decent stop if you’re passing by.“

“Ruddy Duck is fairly away from it all in Southern Maryland. We did not have any food while we were here, but it certainly looked good. I liked the decoration, but this seems like the focus is more on the restaurant and aesthetics than being a brewpub. That said, the beers, while pedestrian, were solid.“

“Located just outside the historic waterside town of Solomons, and just across the parking lot from a Hilton Inn, this was a near perfect stop on a weekend getaway. Six beers currently on tap, including an IPA, dubble and tripple, as well as a guest tap. All that we tried were well made and complimented our food. Lots of good choices on the menu, including a build-your-own pasta entree, and plenty of seafood. Modern, airy building with a lot of wood accents created a pleasant atmosphere. We ate at the bar and the staff there was great. Cannot wait to go again.“

“Been there twice in the span of a few days. First @ the bar, then a table. The waitstaff and hostesses are very friendly and despite being terribly busy, our wait for a table was not very long at all. Their two beers they have available at this time are decent and I enjoyed them even though the styles weren’t my favorite. A definite welcome addition to the Solomons area.“

“Went on the "opening night." They had two of their beers on tap: Breezy Point & Stonepile. I’d put the Breezy Point right up there with Hoegarden. Neither style is my cup o’ tea, so I’m looking forward to the rest of their stuff coming on line. They also had Loose Cannon, Pilsner Urquell, Old Dominion Oak Barrel & a few others on hand. The food was great, actually. My friend ordered ribs, which he complained about to me (bland). The chef just happens to pop up at his elbow & asks him how the ribs were. My friend said they were bland, & the chef says, "hold on, I’ll go back & make you some spicy ones." He comes back about 10mins later w/yet another half rack + grits, on the house, & they were amazing (my friend had me share since he’d already eaten most of his original order). That’s above & beyond, in my book. I also ate the duck-a-dilla (duck quesadilla), which was pretty ok - couldn’t really taste the duck; and the Argentinian cheese puffs, which were awesome, but they only came with three on the plate. I think I could’ve eaten a dozen of those things.“
