70 /100 2128 WHITEFORD ROAD Taproom finally done. Looks nice. Garage doors open for the nice weather. Plenty of seating inside and out. Clean pissery and a small shelf next to the urinal for glass placement I guess, kinda cool. Food is okay, tad pricey. Plenty of beers on tap ranging from mediocre to good. Waited probably an hour for two burgers that didn’t even have the lettuce tomato and mayo that’s supposedly standard. That showed up ten minutes later. Geeze. Busy place. Too many little ones running around like fools for my liking. It’s 8 o’clock folks. Isn’t it about bed time for them critters?! I’ll stop back on occasion but just to grab a pint. Worth a stop if cruising northern Harford county for some unknown reason. Growlers, crowlers, glassware, hats and tees too. |
74 /100 Saubel’s Market (Beer Store) 2902 WHITEFORD RD While visiting from Scotland and spending a few days in south central Pennsylvania I was astonished to find that the local beer stores will only sell me beer in full cases. It was a joy therefore to find that a 15 mile drive to the Maryland state line took me to this great store.
Best of all they have a bin end section allowing customers to mix 6 packs for a mere $9.99. Flying Dog, Yards, Lancaster, Riptide, Saranac and, even, Palm (Belgium) were my first choice. I have returned for another two packs since and am surprised that this store is not listed in Rate Beer.
Give it a try. Especially if you are in York County, PA. |
