| 78 /100 Wheatberry (Restaurant) 15212 NORTH RED BUD TRAIL “Stopped here on my way home from the livery- 930pm on a friday. Glad i did. big chalk boards with specials. Dark colors. old factory like metal walls. modern feel to it. for the south bend/niles area quite the trendy place. older crowd. a lot of couples in their early 40s on dates and such. nothing but micros on tap. maybe 12 or so- bells, founders, great lakes, new holland, victory, were some of the breweries featured. also had a few beers on tap i had never heard of. food was some of the most original i’ve had within a short drive from south bend. somewhat of a cajun, southern bbq influence. the slowly cooked beef brisket melts in your mouth. GF got the cajun shrip, spicy sausage concoction. the food was awesome, though i was starving and a little tipsy. I’ll try it again sometime. all food made from scratch. place buys locally whenever it can. service was great and food was out fast. recommended if in the area for sure.“ |
