“Hands down the best brewery on the Keweenaw Peninsula. And although it's fortunate if you travel this far to the end of the road (literally) to even have craftbeer at all...trust me...Brickside is worth the drive up from parts south of the peninsula alone. Make sure you check the hours though...would be tough to make the drive to find they are closed (although it's incredibly beautiful out here). Having said that...I broke all the rules and arrived when they were closed. Which meant I had to wait several hours for the brewer to return...and then talk my way into his brewery because the tap room was closed (I was successful...lol...thanks to a very accommodating owner/brewer...Jason I believe). We talked for awhile while he worked the brewery...and he gave me tastes of a few things. I gave him a couple of craftbeers I brought from NJ and he rewarded me with a special barleywine bomber of his. I was then able to buy 3 bombers of his standard beers (pale ales and IPA's from the food market across the street. All in all, a very successful visit. I recommend his beer and hope you get to talk to him...really nice guy!“
