“Continuing the tradition of ratings happening several years apart. I think this is the longest stretch? You do not find yourself in this town accidentally. Small place, small parking lot. Staff was all friendly. It's a hippy dippy grocery store, but it's exactly what you'd expect for a co-op. Some of the better COVID safety procedures I've seen anywhere. Decent selection of homebrew supplies and ingredients. Small but thoughtful beer selection. Many things singled out. Great representation of UP and Michigan beers. Nice local mead selection. Prices fair. The greek salad I'm eating right now is tasty. Overall, definitely stop by when in town. '“

“Meh. Small place. Kinda dingy and dirty. Felt kinda like Clerks. Small selection of common large format singles. No small format singles. Decent selection, a few less common things, no rarities. Good representation of local beers. Weird pricing system was way out of date and meant I didn't know the price of anything. Woulda bought more if I had. Shop keeper was nice enough.“

“Liquor store on Hancock’s main street. The name caught my eye immediately. Small but decent selection of local craft and imports. Better yet, all cold!! Friendly owner.“

“For the area, a decent selection. Props for supplying this outlying community with some decent beer. Good selection of Michigan beers and some other NW beers.“

“I am surprised to see the last review is so old...things have changed a bit. The Keweenaw Co-Op has raised the bar of beer available in the Keweenaw. With new additions as of late 2010, early 2011, they are featuring quite an array of Shorts brews (around 10-12), Ommegang, Stone, Rogue, and Moylans, beers that were never available this far north before. Besides the new brews, they have a great selection of Bells, New Holland, Founders, and some decent imports from Belgian and Germany. The turnover has improved over the years, but some beers will sit for a while. Out of the sunlight so that is good. With that said, if you are travelling from the lower peninsula, and looking for a Founders or Shorts product that has been sold out for a few weeks, stop in, good chance they’ll have it. As a side note, if you are hungry, the deli is fantastic. Lots of good, wholesome tasty treats from local farmers and surrounding areas.“

“For rarer imports (like Belgians and English beers), this is the ONLY place to find them in the Keweenaw. Be warned, some of these beers spend some time on the shelves. Lots of Michigan seasonals and micros. Practically no macros.“
