74 /100 Mega-Bev (Beer Store) 7921 OAKLAND DR Bottle shop with excellent selection of craft, imports and macro brews. A little cramped but clean and well organized. Good prices. No food - its a bottle shop. |
76 /100 7842 PORTAGE RD Great place with excellent selection of brews, great service and excellent food. Ambiance is good except that it is very loud - forget about having any conversation while there. But the brews are some of the best in the area so you can use your mouth for drinking instead of talking. |
76 /100 Mega-Bev (Beer Store) 7921 OAKLAND DR This review is for the Portage location on Oakland Dr. Decent selection for the area and a semi-knowledgeable staff. The best prices by far when compared to other local spots such as Bacchus and Tiffany’s. |
56 /100 5311 S WESTNEDGE AVE BD’s is a great place for food, but I don’t think it was meant to be a great place for beer. It’s hard to rate a place that serves beer, but is not a focal point for them. It’s a chain and it feels like a chain. The service isn’t bad, but I have never been blown away. The selection of beers is mediocre at best. The food is excellent. You can try some rare meats, but you need to be able to mix and match meat, veggies, seasonings and sauces well or your meal could end up a bust. The value of what you get is alright. It seems a little pricey unless you go at lunch and eat a ton. Go for the food, not the beer. |
84 /100 7842 PORTAGE RD A great new spot in Portage. Service was good, as was the selection. I didn’t eat, but they do have food. Value was good as well. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area, and a ticker’s paradise if you have a free afternoon. |
76 /100 Mega-Bev (Beer Store) 7921 OAKLAND DR Giant store. Beer, wine and liquor. We found a few good things here and pretty good prices. I’ll be stopping here whenever i’m in town. |
74 /100 Mega-Bev (Beer Store) 7921 OAKLAND DR Good Michigan beer selection - best i have found in the Kalamazoo area so far. Always stop in to see what they have. Prices are decent and even beat the competitors on a few. |
64 /100 7842 PORTAGE RD Latitude 42 is a decent place. They serve their beer only and they have some pretty good brews. I have not had them all, but the few I have had were not bad. The food was also decent. I was not blown away by the food or beer, but I was not sad that I consumed it either. However, the beer and food were both a little pricey for what you get. They also served me a stout in a pilsner glass which was disappointing to say the least. Overall this place is alright but a little pricey. |
72 /100 Mega-Bev (Beer Store) 7921 OAKLAND DR New location on west main by meijer. Great selection of singles, decent selection of 6 packs. A lot of Michigan beers. The staff, although pretty, isn’t very knowledgeable. Buy 6 singles, save 10%

92 /100 Mega-Bev (Beer Store) 7921 OAKLAND DR Large wall of coolers and a large selection. Well over 500 beers. Lots of kegs also but also single bottles |
68 /100 Mega-Bev (Beer Store) 7921 OAKLAND DR Great place for single beers. Have a few big shelves - a section for nationals and one for internationals. Most of what you can find in 6-packs is available in the singles racks. Bomber selection ok as well. Good for a place with a name that sounds like the newest international mega-brewery conglomerate. |
84 /100 Mega-Bev (Beer Store) 7921 OAKLAND DR Nice party store with a good-sized selection (and they sell singles). The staff were friendly and the store was clean. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area. |
90 /100 Mega-Bev (Beer Store) 7921 OAKLAND DR As far as I am concerned this is the best beer store in Michigan that I have ever been to... of course it is the only beer in Michigan that I have ever been to, but still, not bad. But if you really love beer you will have to go to House of 1000 Beers Pittsburgh, PA. |
78 /100 Mega-Bev (Beer Store) 7921 OAKLAND DR It’s not big, but it’s got a shitload of awesome Michigan beer. Seriously, I’ve never seen so much Devil Dancer in my life: at least two cases of the stuff just out on the shelf for $20.99 a 4-pack, which is great. Plenty of Cerise and Curmudgeon still at decent prices. Lots of Dark Horse, Founders, Arcadia (grabbed some B-Craft, can’t wait to try that!), North Peak, Frankenmuth, etc. They pack a lot of beer into a small spot. Lagunitas, Dogfish Head, and Avery available, which is great for someone from Indiana like myself who can’t get that stuff. Will definitely swing through again next time I’m in K-zoo/Portage area. |
34 /100 Harding’s Market (Grocery Store) CENTRE STREET Decent selection for a Mom and Pop grocery store |
80 /100 Mega-Bev (Beer Store) 7921 OAKLAND DR Great selection since taking this location over (was Portage City Wine Cellar location). Very helpful staff. Where they really shine is on price, best in town. Great selection of wine and spirits also. Store here in Portage and their bigger store in Battle Creek are my go to beer stop. |
24 /100 Harding’s Market (Grocery Store) CENTRE STREET no reason at all to ever stop here, they have a tiny color with local singles that you can get anywhere then a sparse selection of regularly available 6 packs, don’t bother |
60 /100 Harding’s Market (Grocery Store) CENTRE STREET Grocery Store With Wide Selection Of Microbrew including Bell’s, Arcadia, Founders, New Holland et. al. |
