“Now a nice Griffin Claw location. Huge tap list with about 50% ciders?! WTF. Sign of the times I guess. Had a couple flights then settled on a brandy barrel aged marzen- was spectacular beer and a 4 pack of them to go food was solid.“

“Came here on 8.1.2020. This is actually a brewpub owned by Griffin Claw. Brewhouse is in the right part of the building. You can only see the wooden barrels warehouse. Great beer selection ~60 beers on tap (not only from Griffin Claw): a lot beers from Michigan, a few from California, Wisconsin and NY (Singlecut !!). Very long comortable bar with a Johnny Cash shrine!!! Also the beer coasters display Mr. Johnny Cash. Great decoration and ambiance. Definitely will come back !“

“Free dedicated parking lot around d this place. Service was good. Interesting tap beers and bottles. I had the pretzel burger and fries and both were pretty good. Food pricing seemed just above average and beer flights are fairly pricey. I would go back.“

“Free dedicated parking right in front. Service was good here. For a small/medium bottle shop they have some interesting brews (Mikkeller, The Bruery, and others). I found the beer to be well organized. Pricing was good. I would come back.“

“Found a new place to visit. The staff is friendly enough, asked questions but I was looking. The selection was awesome but the organization was bad. Not sure about the value, have to hunt around for prices but I did spend over $140. I will be back, they are just down the road from Red Wagon and now I appreciate their organization and keeping it neat but Red Wagon’s prices were too high in the past. But with Champanes closing, prices in our area will probably be increasing.“

“This store is one of my go to places on the way home, they have a nice selection of beers with most of the beers in a cold section, there is an area set aside for single bottles. Michael serves the beer and wine department and is very helpful. This store has a nice selection of wine.“

“I’ve been shopping at Chateau de Vin for sixteen years now. The two brothers are always friendly and able to suggest new things to customers, and seem to have a very good memory for catering to their regular’s preferences. The beer selection has never been lacking, and if there’s something not in stock but available in-state they usually don’t hesitate to order it special.“

“Stopped in on a Thursday evening. Right off the highway. Dedicated parking. Sat down easily with no wait. Our server was quick and attentive and was fairly knowledgeable. I just ordered a small flight of four beers. They came quickly and were good. The draft selection is excellent and has lots of local stuff. Very cool place.“

“This is my current favorite place to buy beer. I mostly look out for single 12 oz. bottles, and these guys have the best selection I have seen, and it rotates frequently so it is kept fresh and there is always something new I want to try. It’s true that the beer is pricey, but a lot of that beer is hard to find elsewhere. I haven’t seen Hitachino in single bottles anywhere else, so I’m willing to pay $5-6 for an Espresso Stout. They have a nice variety of local beers, such as Shorts, Dark Horse, Oddside Ales, and Bells, as well as beers from other states and countries. Where this store really shines is in its 22-25 oz. bottles, of which it has a massive selection and variety. My biggest complaint is that it can be touch to pick out what I want. There is also a nice selection of 4- and 6-packs, as well as variety packs. Red Wagon Shoppe also has a large selection of wine, and a fair selection of meads. There’s something here for everyone.“

“Beer selection is epic and always changing. Lots of Michigan brews and a variety of styles with plenty in each category. Food is very good, but overpriced. The beer in general is about $1-2 more per beer than at other places in the area, but I still find myself coming back again and again for the selection and ambiance. My go to bar in the area.“

“I like this place. The owners are knowledgeable about beer, and they like to suggest new brews as they come in. This is not a huge store, but has some nice brews in singles and six packs. They get a lot of special brews that are limited supply as well. For food they have anything that any liquor store would have chips, pop, ect....I usually stop by this place maybe every tow weeks or so.“

“I only go here if I absolutely have to. The service is awful. There is only one person who knows their stuff (I believe his name is Paul), the rest of the staff doesn’t care and misinforms their customers. I was looking for a rare-ish beer recently, and had gone in and called throughout the week. I was told the estimated date of delivery and that there was a two beer limit per person by Paul. I called day of delivery and was told that the shipment had arrived with the beer. When I arrived, I was told that I could not get the beer because my name was not on "the list." Not once in my whole interaction with Paul or the rest of the staff was I told about "the list," or it’s necessity to purchase the beer. The manager made me wait 30 minutes in the store until Paul got there. Another employee even told him to call Paul, but he refused. When the he finally arrived, he then, for the first time, told me about "the list." After making him go through "the list," it turned out there was one left unaccounted for (keep in mind I waited in the store for 30 minutes for Paul to look a stack of paper that any other employee could have done, but didn’t). I ended up paying $3 more then at another shop in the area, and even $1 more then their sister location. Needless to say, I am extremely underwhelmed with this store. Yes, they have a good selection of beer, but I would much rather spend my money at any other place in town then here, unless they are the only option. They really need to rethink how they treat their customers, because they have a lot of work to do to regain my business. Stay away unless you can’t find it anywhere else!“

“been here several times.great thing about this place is the beer selection.no matter what your style they got several different offerings for you whether it be on tap or in the bottle.unfortunately a lot of their staff doesnt seem to be educated in it.food is a bit over priced but is very good.i know they focus on the beer but having golden tee instead of jinga would be a huge plus.that mammoth jinga game is loud and annoying.ive been in the service industry for nearly 30 years and absolutely love their concept.i just wish when im their by myself there was something more to do than flench every five minutes when the jinga pieces hit the floor“

“Very nice store, my favorite place in Rochester to find new beers to try. Very good variety of 6 packs, 12oz singles, and a pretty huge selection of (pricey) 20+ oz singles. If you can find the same beer somewhere else in town it will probably be more expensive at Red Wagon, but if you want to find something new it’s the best.“

“I have been to Clubhouse for the opening day to get a bottle of King Henry and for the KBS release. They have a vast selection, but nothing that really got me super excited. I am hoping that they are going to get better, because they have a lot of work to do to get to the beer bar status they are marketing for. If I am going to recommend an awesome beer bar in Michigan, Clubhouse still isn’t my first choice. The KBS really hurt my opinion of them. This place is no Hopcat.“

“Been here twice and love the place already. Beer selection, both tap and bottled, is wonderful. Only had a few food items, but each one was very good. Bartenders are fantastic. They know their beers, they pay attention to the clients, and are always ready with a suggestion or recommendation. Took some friends there the other night and they were ready to become regulars after just one visit. We’ll be making many visits, without a doubt.“

“Great local location for me and I have already been there several times since they have opened. I like that they focus on the beer and not the food. The food menu is not huge, which I think is good, but pretty good quality. The wait staff don’t seem overly knowledgeable, but I have seen much worse. Their selection is pretty good, with a good variety. I went there for the KBS tapping and I had a little bit of sticker shock. They only were pouring samples and getting a paddle of 4 beers was a little pricey. I will certainly be back there and I’m grateful to have a good beer place so close to me.“

“Lots of commercially-available beers plus an occasional surprise that’s not available in bottles. Sometimes has cool beer specials (like Odd Side Ales Citra IPA and Dutch Cocoa Coffee Stout at $3.50 for 20 oz.!) Now facing stiff beer-geek competition from The Clubhouse 2 blocks north. Love their food for the price - grrrrreat value. More non-bottled beers on tap would make this a regular stop!“

“The store is extremely clean and well kept, pretty good atmosphere. I have no complaints about the service, I haven’t really needed them that much because I usually know what I want, but no complaints there. The selection is nothing short of outstanding, everything I want is there, sure there’s a bias to Belgians but that’s not a bad thing. This place is a bit pricey but I’ll forgive due to the selection.“

“Really nice place, visited this afternoon for the first time. Was actually expecting to a much smaller beer selection, so I was excited to see such a great selection. Oddly enough I felt like they were lacking on the local beer (Michigan) front. I walked out with a Dogfish Head and Shiner Ruby Redbird. Giant selection of beer, liquor, and wine. Easy parking, and nice and clean inside. Would have liked to see more beer out of the coolers, and a bigger variety in the build your own 6-pack selection.“

“Went here last night and is one of the better places to find brews....the best thing about this place is that it is well organized and very clean.....also all thier beers it seems are fresh....nothing that is coverd in dust from a two year old batch. not a huge selection of beer but very good.....still pales in compaison to Oliver-T’s......i never pay attention to prices, cause if they got what i’m looking for ....or something unusal or desireable...thwn hey its a good deal especially for the beer hunters. but over all one of the best I have been too.“

Red Wagon Shoppe (Beer Store)

“First store in the area that I went to to get my beer fix. It’s fairly close to where I work, and with an excellent selection I find myself going there quite often. The staff is always friendly. A couple of times they’ve given me a discount or even a free item. That’s always nice! But not all is great here. The prices are a little on the high side. I usually find better deals at Champane’s. Also, the main beer aisle, while nicely done with RB and BA ratings next to most of the beers, is cramped. It’s a pretty tight space. I have a hard time squeezing my cart through when there’s other customers. But with the excellent selection and staff, I find myself ignoring the cons and just helping myself to some great beer. They also do nice gift baskets. Definitely stop in if you haven’t already. There’s also a Red Wagon store in Troy.“

“Really nice selection. Service is great. Everytime I go in there I have at least one employee ask me if they can help me with something. Selection is excellent. They have a lot of singles and sixers so go wild. Foos is not applicable, because they don’t have any. Value is alright. Prices are a little higher than most just because they are located in Rochester. Overall, I like to go to this place every once in a while. Not my go to place but has a great selection, knowledgeable staff, and all round nice place.“
