76 /100 2356 PORTER ST. SW Small industrial looking taproom/bar, busy, some tables, the barkeep was very knowledgeable about his beers asked how I liked his beers. Good selection, decent stouts. Quite local watering hole. |
78 /100 1760 44TH ST SW, STE 8 Just south of Grand Rapids MI. The place has a bit of the Oktoberfest flavor in a salute to the small town in Germany where the owner was station in the 60's. The beers we tried were to style of the German beers. Owner had a lot to say about the industry. Our order of fries were tasty. |
62 /100 1760 44TH ST SW, STE 8 Small place in strip mall. Very limited menu, but fine German food and good beer. Friendly service but a bit of a wait at 4PM. |
82 /100 D. Schuler's Wine Cellars (Beer Store) 2771 44TH ST. SW Not a bad place by any means, but the prices are hit and miss. Quite a few singles to choose from in the coolers, and they’ve now moved to selling everything else by the single as well. I fell like it’s gotten quite a bit better recently. |
76 /100 D. Schuler's Wine Cellars (Beer Store) 2771 44TH ST. SW quaint little place south of GR. Most of the selection was common stuff but they did pull a couple things out of the back for me. Staff went out of the way to make some special things happen. Not familiar with bottle shops in the area but I’d come back to this one pending future area visits. |
76 /100 D. Schuler's Wine Cellars (Beer Store) 2771 44TH ST. SW Decent selection of six packs and a few cooler doors of a build your own section. Lots of local and regional stuff, bought some Arbor and Clipper City. Staff was friendly and helpful and the prices seemed reasonable. |
76 /100 D. Schuler's Wine Cellars (Beer Store) 2771 44TH ST. SW Finally checked this place out, and it was pretty good. Selection isn’t as huge as Siciliano’s, but a massive wine selection to make up for it. A lot of great locals, decently priced, and a bunch of belgians that i had to look twice because i haven’t seen it before. Break any six pack is always nice, and the guy behind the counter was really nice, even walking up to me when he had a minute to ask if i was looking for anything in particular. |
68 /100 D. Schuler's Wine Cellars (Beer Store) 2771 44TH ST. SW Nice store with a good selection of six packs and singles. Prices are competetive. Also a good selection of wine. Great place to stop and get some good brew. |
76 /100 D. Schuler's Wine Cellars (Beer Store) 2771 44TH ST. SW Good selection of beer and wine. Staff is eager to help. Good selection of micros and imports. Nice find here, a bottle of Dog Fish Head World Wide Stout from 2004. I made my rounds to all the stores in GR this past Christmas since the selection in North Carolina is not as refined as in Michigan, though they are finally starting to catch up. |
76 /100 D. Schuler's Wine Cellars (Beer Store) 2771 44TH ST. SW Pretty good selection of beer and cold singles. Friendly staff. |
84 /100 D. Schuler's Wine Cellars (Beer Store) 2771 44TH ST. SW great selection (wine and stogies also), and some of the damn nicest guys around. |
66 /100 D. Schuler's Wine Cellars (Beer Store) 2771 44TH ST. SW I maybe should rate this much lower for the fact that there own people rate this and give it 100% however they have an alright selection and was able to find some beers I could not find anywhere else in town. |
68 /100 D. Schuler's Wine Cellars (Beer Store) 2771 44TH ST. SW Staff very willing to help. Decent selection of cold singles. Prices seemed a bit higher than other area brew stores. |
80 /100 D. Schuler's Wine Cellars (Beer Store) 2771 44TH ST. SW Nice shop. Excellent stop for wine, not bad for beer. Lots of singles and a few good import selections. Guys are pretty knowledgeable about stuff and it looks like they’ve been expanding a bit on their singles selection and have a few more than the during the last rating. Bells, Victory, Rogue, etc. I found a bunch of them in singles. |
62 /100 D. Schuler's Wine Cellars (Beer Store) 2771 44TH ST. SW This place is mostly noted for it's wine, and the setup of the store emphasizes that. Staff is friendly but knowledge is mostly about wine, beer knowledge is quite limited. but also has a decent beer selection. Michigan micros (with the exception for Dark Horse) are represented nicely, with a decent selection of foreign beers. Unfortunately single selections are very limited. Mostly foreign and some rogue bombers. Domestic micros pretty much available in 6 packs only. Still not a bad place, especially since there is no other decent beer store remotely close to it. |
64 /100 D. Schuler's Wine Cellars (Beer Store) 2771 44TH ST. SW Had a nice selection of German and British beers, with a nice stock of singles available. Also had leftover stock from the now defunct Boyne River Brewing Co. (soon to reopen?). Microbrew selection was average, but many styles were not represented. Limited singles selection. |
