“Jaira taproom is open now and then some weekends. Check out Facebook. I came because I got a tip that it was open when I visited Galotia Brewing. This is a very nice, spacious taproom in the same industrial building as the brewery. They just open the big garage door and the taproom is open. Cool, big wall paintings, graffiti style. Dark interior. 5 Jaira beers on tap at my visit, but I was more interested in a new bottle available: Jaira Ley Seca. I was the only visitor early in the evening. The man at work claimed that more people would arrive within an hour. I guess none of them walk, Jaira is situated in an industrial area. Nobody lives nearby. (Visited July 12th 2019) Revisited in July 2023: The door was closed but just push the door bell and they will open. There was a small bottle shop upstairs with cold beers from Jaira and Galotia. Friendly service.“

“We came here on 13.2.2018. A brewery located in an industrial area close to the village of Aguimes. Unfortunately they closed the tap room more than one year ago, as they required the space for the brewery expansion. Nowadays you can buy their beers in boxes of 30 directly in the brewery. For a brewery tour you have to call in advance. We called in advance but as we spoke only English the lady on the other end just hang up. As they did not sell any samples or single bottles we could not taste their beers. The brewer in charge made no efforts to make an exception for us. We also could not find their beers in any super markets on the canary island. Therefore I could not include the beer quality in my review“

“A strange location for a bottle shop. I doubt there were more than 40 different beers in the shelves at my visit. You need a car if you want to visit, but why bother? If you are a tourist you don’t stay in this area and the beers here can be found elsewhere in well stocked supermarkets and bars in Las Palmas. (Vistited July 6th 2017 with my family)“

“This is not a brewpub and you can’t stop by to purchase a couple of bottles. But, you can buy a case of mixed beers from Viva. They actually had 8 different beers when I visited. I was told (one man spoke English) that they do a delivery service and the bottles are for reuse. Interesting for those staying in the area on a long term vacation and have not tried any beers from Viva. Viva beers are not available in grocery stores, only in some bars and restaurants. Fun fact: another brewery is located adjacent at the same address! But, the door to Jaira was closed at my visit. You need a car to visit this industrial area. (Visited July 5th 2017)“

“Hidden away in an unimpressive industrial area is this small wine shop that also has quite a nice selection of around 30 Spanish craft beers, together with around 50 decent beers from all over the world. There is also an extensive selection of homebrew equipment and ingredients. The owner doesn’t speak English and took about a minute for every bottle I bought to find it on the counter and document my purchase, but it was worth the wait. Probably the best place to visit for beer on Gran Canaria.“
