“Bar local, disponen de dos variedades de Cerveza Dougalls“

“We found this place as we bimbled merrily around the very pretty little town of Comillas on Friday 27th June 2014 where we were camping just on the outskirts on the coast for the night. I wouldn’t normally go out of my way to review an otherwise fairly ordinary bar however this had taken the trouble to stock and actively promote five small local brews amongst the otherwise unexciting 14 bottles and three taps also available. Three were from Dougalls and two were from Centro de Investigación La Mozuca S.L. both from the same town, which I believe is spelt Torrelvega? anyway its on the way to Santander. The bar was on the right as soon as you enter and the fair sized one room had an area more set out for eating to the left and drinking by the bar or indeed on one of the two small Barrel type tables outside where we sat. This bar was located a short two minute walk from the tourist information and just down from the centre square in fact quite close to one of the main roads through the town, it has a large Grimbergen sign which it also sells on draught. Prices were €2.50 for the local bottles of beer, so fair enough and service was fine. Like I have suggested it won’t win many plaudits but it stocks local beer which is a plus point in my eyes.“
