80 /100 932 MERAMEC STATION RD. I always wanted to get out to this place but had no real reason to visit Valley Park. They do make my kind of beer mostly Belgians so after a family lunch at Sugarfire right next door I walked over. Kind of a smaller space with a nice sized bar with seating at smaller tables. After a family left I was the sole patron on a Sunday afternoon. I got a 4 beer 4oz sampler for $13 which was a pretty good deal. A dubble, Belgian golden, cream ale and a black IPA. The Belgian styles were better than the other 2 but all were drinkable and well made. Good for a stop in if in the area. |
74 /100 932 MERAMEC STATION RD. Decent size place in a strip mall, clean decor, not gawdy, just simple. 8 beers on tap, several different styles, board games to play, no food but Sugarfire BBQ is right next door and they deliver. Had a 4 beer flight, 2 beers were very good, the other 2 were above average. Several of their beers are available to go. I liked this place, I would go back. You certainly can't do any better in Valley Park. I'm rooting for this place. |
78 /100 932 MERAMEC STATION RD. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. Nice space, brewery is in the back of the building behind glass, so you can pretty much view everything. We sat at the bar and tried a couple of flights. Beers were ok, nothing special. Talked with the owner/brewer, very knowledgeable, and explained his thoughts behind the beers. No food in the brewery, but they are located around several restaurants, and a few will delivery. Plenty of bar space and tables, so they are able to handle a decent sized crowd. Easy to find, right off 141 and 44, plenty of parking as well. Worth a stop if in the area. |
