“This place took over from Dillinger Brewing's location in the former Coronado Hotel as the brewery went out of business. The physical space hasn't changed much, a small interior with a long bar and a few bar tables; the patio is nice and you can watch the homeless people trudge by and the monster trucks belch their soot and noise. They have occasional food trucks. Taps are pretty much all local, and are a work in progress. Since they bought what was left of Dillinger's kegs, it's the last place where Dillinger bers are available. Owner is behind the bar and is very friendly. Worth a look if you're in the area.“

“Large place, spots bar vibe. Three people at the bar but the barman was not able to take care of everyone, long wait for a beer. Good taplist though, and creative food, sort of makes up for the lack of interest from the staff.“

“Close enough to my hotel to grab some samples for the week. Bevmo a few doors down was awful. This is the biggest TW I've ever been in -- interesting in Arizona they also carry liquor. Typical big beer lineup here, TW standard that anything can be a single. Decent regional offerings, called out.“

“Close to my hotel so I popped in. Place is huge and beer is only about 10% and most is warm. Found a Phoenix beer I wanted, but every six pack I checked said "Best Before 7/22/2022" (and it's February 2024). Nope ... walked down 1/4 mile to Total Wine, a little better there.“

“Corner location with a few parking spaces in a lot out front. Small serving bar occupies the entire front room. Decent patio, partially shaded. Two more rooms inside, with a few barstools in a big window overlooking the patio and some tables. Beer is just OK, brewed at Voltron I think. Six regular offerings and four seasonals. Flights of four. Food is tacos which were actually pretty tasty, and half price noon to one, Monday through Friday.“

“Visited with Ibrew2or3, cheers! My favorite place of the night. Long bar and restaurant booths, Covis sidewalk patio up front, cozy covered deck in back. Taplist on two large screens above the open kitchen. Staff were friendly, quick and efficinet, and there were enough of them! Beer list was creative, not just the usual suspects. Two on tap from Beachwood Blendery, an IPA and a lambic style, for instance. Very large bottle list, I'll hav e to come back for that. Tasty food, mainly burgers and sandwiches plus a few mains. Parking is hard, don't drive here. Maybe the top beer place in Tucson at the moment.“

5 Points Market (Restaurant)
756 S STONE AVE
“Prominent location on a pretty busy corner with no parking to speak of. Half a dozen patio tables with umbrellas in good weather. Another half dozen or so interior tables plus a market that takes up more than half the place. The market sells a larger selection of beer, local and Normandy cider and sake than is listed on the restaurant menu, as well as milk, eggs, and various southwestern sauces and other stuff. lots of wine as well. No draft lines here, just bottles and cans, but there are some interesting beers including Jester King, Alesong and others. Food is tasty and creative, service is good.“

“This place calls itself the dive bar of craft beer bottle shops in Tucson, and I think that description fits nicely. Big place with an L-shaped bar. Lots of taps but nothing too exciting, it's mainly stuff that's on draft all over town. The bottle/can selection is much better, with a few things that I haven't seen at any the other bottle shops. Atmosphere is a bit scruffy, but friendly. Prices seemed pretty decent. No food of their own, but they have food trucks, sadly not starting until 5pm weekdays and 3pm on weekends. If you're nearby, great, otherwise maybe stick to Tap & Bottle.“

Mr. Heads (Bar)
513 N 4TH AVE
“Right on the 4th Avenue "strip," which means parking can be a challenge. Consider parking at Tap & Bottle and walking. The bar itself is non-descript and can be a bit dark inside even in the middle of the day. The beer garden is as large as the bar itself and has lots of shade trees, much more pleasant even if the traffic on 4th Ave gets a bit unruly, as it is prone to do. Taplit has Dragoon and other local beers plus a few surprises from out of state, seems well-selected. Decent stop while barhopping here.“

“This place follows the familiar pattern of every sports bar near the university: a large patio that squirts water at you on hot days, inside restaurant tables but very much open to the outdoors. Long bar as well. Staffed by inexperienced youngsters serving their fellow students. Poor use of 28 taps: they have Bud, Bud Lite, Miller, Miller Light, Coors, Coors Lite plus two local lagers. Why? Budweiser distributor and owner/management who don't care. At least they had a Dragoon IPA like every otherf place in town. Also an amber from Pizza Port. All safe choices. Fortunately the pizza wa very tasty, though smoke from the poorly managed wood fired oven filled the place. Time for some training all around. You could do worse than this place, but no real reason to return.“

The Delta (Restaurant)
135 SOUTH 6TH AVENUE
“New place in a renovated old building that has previously held other restaurants. The only parking is several blocks away, you can try the other side of the homeless park or take a Lyft. Large sidewalk patio, looks like they actually extended the sidewalk to do it. Inside is full-on New Orleans, very kitsch but they spared no expense. They should have spent some of that money on staff though - there were way too few of them. Only one young bartender, very slow at making drinks - and a lot of them - so I sat at a dirty area of the bar, piled high with used glassware and dishes. She handed me menus before clearing the bar - I had to ask her top clear and wipe down the area. Twenty minutes later she still hadn't taken my drinks order. Appetizer and main course came out simultaneously, forcing me to choose which one to eat cold. The food, though, was tasty and creative - sort of southwesternized Cajun, a welcomed change after tacos-tacos-tacos. Three Abita beers on tap, including one seasonal I hadn't had; the rest of the list was local beers, no macros at all. AND $3 a pint. Can't remember the last time I saw that price point. Cans and bottles, although not listed anywhere, had some surprises including a few Dogfisheads and more Louisiana stuff. Hopefully the staff kinks are from them being so new, but I suspect they're not paying enough to hire or retain anyone. Worth a re-visit.“

“Characterful place, as many of the bars and restaurants in older buildings here seem to be. Beers are less characterful, I didn't find any that I really enjoyed. Food was mentioned on their website but there wasn't much nto speak of in reality, just some pizza from next door, which was better than nothing. Worth a peek but order something other than beer.“

“I've avoided this place until now mainly because their online beer lists are so dominated by NEIPAs. But in reality they had quite a few non-IPAs including two kettle sours and one stout with a variant. They had a West Coast IPA as well, but it was a NEIPA in disguise, sadly. Friendly efficient staff. The place itself is very characterful, lots of exposed brick. Noisy busy road out front. No parking anywhere nearby. Beers were fairly tasty. No food. Worth a look.“

“Massive place, bigger even than most Total Wines I've visited. Beers are way in the back. One very long row of singles, mix n match as many as you'd like. There is a section of AZ beers but only in 4 or 6 packs. Quite a few seasonal offerings. Lots of staff around, mostly helping folks in the wine section. Good prices. Solid place.“

“Similar setup to the downtown location, without the basement. Taplist is different, maybe not quite the range of the downtown location. More space for wine here, but I have found some bottles that were not at the downtown location, especially things like sours & lambics that tend to sell out quickly. Solid place.“

“Stopped by during the soft opening, at lunchtime. This place used to be a Monkeyburger, but I never visited, so I don't know how it compares. Stripmall location with tons of parking. Small patio out front covered by an arched promenade. Inside is an L-shaped bar with a view into a round pizza oven but not wood fired. Nine taps including one nitro tap. Flight of five four-ounce pours available. Cocktails and wine as well. I had pizza, which had fresh ingredients and on ok crust. The burgers looked awesome and my bar-neighbors said the salads and cocktails were solid. Service was top notch, hard to tell it wasn't a normal day; staff handled a rush lunch crowd well. I see this place doing a good lunch & dinner business from nearby stores and offices.“

“Strip mall location with more parking than the population of a medium sized city. Covered patio out front with a view of said parking lot. Inside is an L-shaped bar and restaurant tables, plus six coolers of cans (and a few bottles) in back. 30 taps, flights of four possible, and they're six ounce pours - the flight price of $11 is pretty decent I think. Good selection that differs from your average beer bar, so they usually have some unique offerings. Food truck every day plus events. Solid place if you're north of downtown.“

“Desparate times call for desparate entries. Typical college sports bar, big patio up front, long bar and restaurant tables inside. Parking can be tough (metered but free after 5), but the light rail stops right outside. Their 30 taps are AB InBev dominated, but they do have seven local beers which rotate. Sadly the distro system in such that they're the same beers available everywhere else in town. As a consolation prize, they do have Modern Times coffee, though not the beer. Food is decent for a sports bar.“

“This place brews all the beers for Thunder Canyon, Firetruck Brewing and the brand new Basin & Range Brewing. In a light industrial strip mall behind a trampoline place. Plenty of parking. Long bar plus restaurant tables. Friendly staff who knw the beers well. Friendly locals as well. No food. Large taplist from their (currently) three client brewers. Flights of five possible. Very worthwhile stop.“

“The beers formerly known as Gentle Ben's are now all brewed at Barrio brewing, and have ben renamed with the Barrio brand. There are no more beers brewed under the Gentle Ben brand. So despite the name, this is just a bar. In fact it's a fairly generic sports bar that looks like all the other sports bars near the university, like Frog & Firkin and others - characterless spaces, but with nice bog patios. Smoking is either allowed or tolerated here, so since the patio and the interior are connected by wide open garage doors, it was a much smokier environment than I anticipated. Parking is tough, but free after 5 pm. 11 Barrio beers plus two guests from MotoSonora. Food is decent enough pub grub. College aged severs, women were very scantily clad. Waste of tim.“

“Massive place - inside looks like a small taproom with a long bar plus an even smaller bottle shop. Then you notice the other rooms. Although there's a small patio up front there's a much larger one out back that seems to go on forever. Just to give you an idea of the size of the place, there was live music at one end of the beer garden that we couldn't hear at all from the other end. Easily the biggest beer garden in Tucson. maybe the best taplist too, with plenty of local beers but also some things from Beachwood Blending, Pure Project etc. And of course you can drink bottles or cans in house, six coolers' worth. No food but a nice pizza joint shares the front patio and brings your pizza to you - order online or inside the pizza place. One of the top beery places in the city.“

“Second stop with my true celiac friend. Corner location on busy 4th Street with very little parking around. No crowd when we arrived, but the place gradually filled. 30 taps - most are dry house ciders. There are a handful of sweet guest ciders and a few guest beers. Server knew the inventory well, but when we stumped her with a question about the graff, she just went and got ythe brewer, who was drinking at the other end of the bar. Everything we tried was tasty, but our favorites were the aforementioned graff and a perry. Solid place.“

Corbetts (Bar)
340 N 6TH AVENUE
“Massive place. Massive. Has its own parking lot, $5 for 2 hours, validate your ticket at the bar. Pickleball courts. Outdoor serving bar. "indoor" bar that's open to the air, tons of TVs for some unknown reason. Live music. Service slightly better than yoiur generic sports bar, which this is, really, but on steroids. Good tap list included a sour from Fate and an IPA from Wren. Food was generic bland pub food. Do not confuse this place (like I did) with Corbett's brewery cattycorner, they do NOT serve Corbett's beer here. Still a fun place.“

“Parking is tough here, and pricey. I parked in the Corbett's lot and drank there, but it took me a while to figure out that I wasn't in the brewery taproom, just in some random (though very nice) bar named Corbett's. Once I found the taproom it was empty on a Friday night but filled quickly as open mic started. They had half a dozen house bers on offer, flights of four possible, and the ones I had were very tasty. Nice private patio out back. Lots of events. Good service. A solid place.“

“Visited when they first opened. Inside has two sections, up front is more like a modern restaurant, and then there's an out buildin in the back that is more like a bar - central serving bar and bar tables around it. In between is a nice beer garden with some shady tables. Beer selection is really good, with local beers, beers from around the state, and interesting tidbits mostly from California. Good service and decent pizza. Nice addition to the bar scene“

Our waiter said they don't brew there anymore, so how is it still a brewery. Oh well, food was good, lots of other beers available.
