60 /100 125 79TH ST. ABP is a very cool looking place in an amazing location (basically on the beach)...having said that...it takes more than looks and location to win over a craftbeer lover's loyalty, What you will love and are unlikely to leave without...is a picture of the sixtel seiling...or is it the cixtel ceiling? lol Beers are average at best though...and limited in quantity. I may be wrong...but it seems that the emphasis early on is food more than beer...and although the menu looked good...I did not eat there as I was heading to Mudhen and planning to eat there. This may have changed since I visited...and I will revisit when my schedule allows...to see if they improved and changed their strategy any. |
70 /100 Freds Avalon Liquor Store (Beer Store) 2258 DUNE DRIVE Liquor store with a decent offering of cold and room temp craft brews ... nice offering of good solid micro (Stone, Ballast Point, Allagash) and some local (Cape May) brews .... 6 packs with one cooler of 750ml which are mostly Belgian and found a speedway stout in there .... prices were a bit high considering your in Jersey, but this is an oasis in Avalon so you will pay for convenience |
