“I've been here a bunch by now and feel less excited to stop here with each visit. The place is nice inside, having a semi-upscale feel to it. I like that for sure. Service is hit or miss depending, but I've never been treated poorly here. In terms of selection, well the taps rotate somewhat regularly, but lately the beer hasn't been very good. It's taken a step down over the years and I stop here less because of that. The food is always decent, but as with the beer I feel that the quality just isn't as good as it used to be. I don't know, maybe I'm crazy, but neither food or beer excited me the past three times I was here. I feel that drinking here is a pretty good value, beer prices seem slightly higher than average, but not egregiously so. The food feels slightly below value. Overall an average value for me. I will stop here on occasion, but it's not something I will go out of my way for.“

“Very large brewpub with a satisfying food menu, 16 beers on tap and 5 cans available, very good service staff, warm ambience, the place to go for food, as well as beer. “

“We have stopped here a few times, always when driving by the area on 295 or the turnpike and getting hungry for a meal. Due to its proximity to the highway, large size, good service, clean / fully equipt bathrooms, and family friendly atmosphere, it makes for an excellent stop off. Maybe a little too corporate looking, but that's fine for where it is located. The food is pretty good, and the menu has something for everyone. The standard beers are all solid, and the roating beers seem to change frequently. They can be hit or miss, but I feel like, in general, I have had more hits. Some of their beers are also available in cans to go. “

“Parking a bit weird, but you’ll figure it out. A busy area and hard to find the place utterly empty. Decor is typical chain, soulless and generic, cheap laminate made to look like old wood, composite to look like a granite bar. Lots of TVs for sports and CNN, clientele not too rowdy but has enough ’local flair’ to keep me away most days. Wings were honestly pretty good and a good deal at half-off in the afternoon. For the beer, typical of the chain, lots of macro but they do have dedicated Belgian and sour lines, and everything tasted clean and well-handled. I can see myself visiting locations in the chain due to reasonable representation of local beer, and it’s a nice bet to find some of the homegrown stuff (Carton, Kane, Spellbound) that really hasn’t penetrated the yawning void of SJ.“

“Saw the sign along the road and took of from the highway for a late brunch. It’s a quite large place, with several big rooms, all on the same floor. Sort of chain look interior-wise, Nice, but a bit too clean. The same can be said about the beers. They’re clean, but too filtered and lacking on aroma and flavor. None of them off though. Nice food and service too. Not worth a detour, but it’s close to the highway if you drive from Philly towards NYC.“

“O maitina tai tikrai amerikoniškai - skaniai ir daug. Pirmą kartą gyvenime supratau kam valgant hamburgerį reikia peilio ir šakutės. Nes ten kotletukas toks, kad jo vieno neapžiosi, o ką jau kalbant apie bandeles ir visą kitą krūvą bulvyčių ir salotų sukrautą lekštėje. Kai išėjau palikęs pusę burgerio – padavėja paklausė, ar neskanu buvo? Aš tik pasakiau – „I am from Europe and first day in USA“ ir jos šypsena išdavė, kad suprato mano valgio suvartojimo kiekius. Malonios mergiotės ten dirba, bet reik judėt atgal į Philly. Turėjo jie ten ir daug alaus išsinešimui gražiuose buteliuose, bet nutariau neapsipirkinėti rimtai pirmą dieną....“

“Nice place. Just stopped in for a flight. Actually a bigger fan of the Voorhees NJ location, but Maple Shade is also worth a stop. Nice selection of beers, all were above average. Will definitely make the trip again!“

“Another clean, new, lively Iron Hill location with plenty of seasonal beers, good food, and hit or miss service. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the hood.“

“Typical Iron Hill location. Same typical clean and “square” Iron Hill layout. Average Iron Hill size, which means it is a pretty big brewpub. We had food, again, typical Iron Hill food, which means above-average brewpub fare. Just like other Iron Hill locations they have many of their own beers on tap (around 10) and just like other Iron Hill locations the quality was there. Some classic styles and some more experimental brews. Just like other Iron Hills you can get growler fills and they have 750ml bottles for sale at high $. This is an Iron Hill brewpub, if you’ve been to one you know what they fill like. And because each brew their own beers, you want to visit them all even though they all feel a bit the same. I love all Iron Hills.“

“Visited here on 4th of July on the way south. I was afraid it would be closed but there was a light crowd there. This is one of 9 locations but the only one in NJ so far (another is coming soon to Voorhees). The others are in DE & PA. I was able to get flights and taste all 5 house beers (these 5 are available at all locations) as well as another 8 specialty beers (these vary location to location). Overall the beers were quite good...some were a little plain...but most are worth the trip. They also sell large bottles of additional varieties. The space itself is very nice...big but with a welcoming feel. I enjoyed the food very much and the server we had was excellent. I am actually surprised that a "chain" of 9 brewpubs can be this good (assuming the others are equal to the Maple Shade location).“

“Me and the girlfriend went here on a Tuesday night. The perfect night since it’s never crowded. The place has a rustic modern feel to it, dimly lit with an earthy stone type feel to it if that makes sense. The tables are nicely sized with beer menus already at them. It feels nice in here.

Our waiter was excellent. Very friendly and was willing to explain anything we needed. The manager was very nice as well. We checked out the beer selection and found some things that were standard (Double Simcoe) as well as some more uncommon things (Cherry Monks, GORP). They allow flights for, I think, $8, which was cool. It allowed me to try 4 beers.

The food came, we ordered a pizza, and it was great. Between the two of us we had dinner and then lunch the next day. Things were a bit on the expensive side, but not too much.

I enjoyed this place and would certainly visit again, though I will be waiting for coupon in my e-mail before I do.“

“These guys did a great job. It’s the sort of place you can go and hang out at the bar or book a wedding reception. The wait staff is very polite and energetic. About half of them know their beers but the others make up for it in service. The only complaint is that they don’t seem to have the staff necessary to handle high volume. There have been a couple peak moments of traffic where I’d go half an hour waiting to be served. Great beer selection. Chris LaPierre is a wizard. If you are a beer geek, make sure to ask for the secret sour. The food is quite good and priced accordingly. This does repel me from going there more often and makes this more of a date/event sort of place. I never felt gipped out of my dollar though. Overall, this is a great stop for craft beer in NJ.“

“Visited mid-afternoon on Tuesday. Strip mall location right off of the Kings Highway. The front of building is a large bar, bar tables, and a couple of booths by the window. Behind the bar is several rooms with restaurant seating. Service was a touch slow for the thin crowd, though it was friendly and knowledgeable. They had the 5 main Iron Hill beers, plus 7 seasonal and locals. I had 4 ounce samples of 5 of the beers, and was happy with all of them. I always enjoy Iron Hill.“

“Large space with a big initial bar area and large restaurant seating area. We had a couple pints at the bar while waiting for our seats and the barkeep was knowledgable and friendly. The pale was real nice and ultra fresh. Very well done. Food was all top-notch. The place was pretty loud in the seating area but it was at capacity so I guess that is expected. Our server was real friendly and always quick with a new beer (and I had plenty). Really enjoyable experience, food, and beers. This is the only IH I’ve been to but it inspires me to try one or two more.“

“Defintiely the biggest Iron Hill I have been to... high ceiliings, typical Iron Hill decor and very deep ... this place didn’t seem to end with tons of seating ... parking sucked went on a Wednesday night and it was packed with a wait for a table so the bar had to do ... food menu was huge: apps, soups, salads with sandwiches around 9 bucks to entree’s over 20 bucks and daily specials ... the food was very good, solid serving size: had a nice dinner entree with soup ..... beer list was decent with a nice mix of styles cask conditioned, seasonals, staples and a barrel aged brew ... bottle take out menu was deep with all different kinds of package deals for different styles, or just single bottles ranging from $16.50 to $25 bucks which is way overpriced .... sat right in front of the growler filler which was busy all night and seemed reasonably priced .. the service was prompt and the bartender was knowledgable about the beers and suggestions .... overall the value food wise was good, the beers on tap were on par with most philly bars and the bottles were highway robbery .... These guys have a great product all around, bottle prices are a turnoff“

“I used to live 5min from here and went often. Super nice place and very clean. Very friendly staff and knowledgable bartenders. They offer samplers that you get to pick 6-8 different beers and usually have about 10-14 brews on tap. Counter-pressure growler fills to go and bottles, though the bottles are a bit pricy. I think the food makes this place! Get the wings, damn fine. Seriously, this place is a destination if you are in the South Jersey/Philly area.“

“Iron Hill makes their own brews, and some of the m are quite good, they all have a fairly nice finish. What they may lack in diversity, they seemingly make up for in homemade quality. Even my wife likes to try their offerings, and she isn’t much of a beer drinker. Restaurant has mighty good eats, from Pizza to platters to sandwiches. Staff is always patient, helpfully informative and friendly. A nice place for groups or even families.“

“Biggish restaurant and brewery in the middle of Maple Shade. They have 6 or so year round beers and a rotating Belgian and seasonal list. Service is very good and they have a nice sampler that is quite affordable. To be honest the food is better than the beer most of the time (minus a few seasonals). So if you see a seasonal that looks good go check it out, but their year rounds are nothing special.“

“Nice, moderately upscale brewpub with solid food and a decent selection of fresh, house-brewed beers. Beers range from excellent to average. Nothing extremely special here, but definitely a nice place to grab a bite to eat, grab a flight-sampler, and watch a game. Service is friendly and helpful. Reasonable prices. Definitely worth a stop.“

“This is a very modern brew pub with a lot of decent beers and good food. The place is always packed but is this because it’s in the beer waste land of South Jersey? The food I’ve had on a couple of occasions has been good. The beers have been good too. Not a lot to complain about except the huge crowds which is a good thing I guess. Service has been OK with one clueless waitress and one excellent bartender. In SJ it’s the only place around so give it a shot.“

“Ambiance is good, though it takes a hit for being so crowded all the time if you just want to go up to the bar. Service is almost always spot on. Though there are times when it is at its busiest and they only have 2 bartenders which is annoying. Selection of beer is outstanding in my opinion. Yeah there are other establishments around that sell micro brews that you can pay double what you would pay in a store. Or you can come here and get beer straight out of the tanks that you can get no where else but here for cheaper. Get a sampler and try them all find one you like. Personally I have only found one beer that I did not like at all. (the Scottish Ale) The only reason i gave it a 10 out of 15 is the fact that some of the beers, though not bad, are not great either. I have yet to bring someone here that did not find something they liked. Most took home a growler, unless they lived close. Food is good and priced well. I HIGHLY recommend the Kielbasa and Sauerkraut. Value - Two meals, an appetizer, and Two beers each, tax and tip Less than 30 dollars for each person = Great value in my book. I have paid more elsewhere for less. Overall I am a mug club member and signed up on here specifically to rate this place. That about sums it up. if you are in the area your crazy not to try this!“

“I liked this place better than the location in or near Philadelphia. Sure they didn’t have a lot of the same things on draft but this place is just opening up so hopefully it will improve. Nice atmosphere, the service was pretty good and the beer was...uh, decent, I guess. Food menu needs a ton of work at this location and the one near Philly. Not everyone is a carnivore!“

“Finally! A real beer place in South Jersey! Right? Wrong. This place has beers with low ABV, little flavor, and what flavor there is, tastes like dirt. Honestly, I’ve been to both the Iron Hill in Maple Shade three times (live around the corner) and the one in Wilmington twice, and each time the beer tastes like dirt. The food is very expensive and not at all as good as the Blue Monkey or even PJ’s! The only beer I was absolutely wild over was their Russian Imperial Stout, but that was $20/bottle (750 ml). My tip, go to Blue Monkey or High Street. They don’t brew their own beers, but the ambiance is better, food is worlds better, the bartenders know their beer, and they’re much cheaper.“

“Newly opened and I have visited twice already. BIg high ceilings and a very open large front bar area with lots and lots of tables makes this feel a little more like a restaurant then a brewpub. The beer seletion is house brewed only except for super rare occasions like the keg of Flying Fish Exit 4 they are tapping soon which will be the first non house beer they have had if I am remembering correctly. That being said their house beers will not dissapoint and there are always lots of seasonals on which normally includes a Belgian style. The food is a little bit better then your normal pub fare but you will also pay for that. Growler fills available and even some rarer bottles that you can take home. Great website that is constantly updated as well.“

“Saw a commerical yesterday that there was an Iron Hill location 15 minutes from me. YAY! Haha. So I stopped by to pick up a growler of something. I got the Pig Iron Porter of whatever it’s called. Kind of upscale looking but whatever. I walked in with sweats and tee shirt. Just got done mowing the lawn. I could feel the eyes on me. Pretty sweet growler machine. Decent work done by the hot bartender. Haha. Can’t wait the the better shit to come in. $15 growler. $12 refills. Not bad.“

“I’m just pleased as punch, quite chuffed in fact, to update my initial rating [64] from when they first opened. They’ve ironed those kinks right out! Service was excellent this time instead of fumbling and error-ridden, and the selection has, as with all IH locations, absolutely exploded over the past few years. Love the specialization each individual brewer is allowed; even had the product of a collaboration with Yards from a hand pump! Food is pretty awesome and more varied than usual brewpub fare (a smattering of ’American’, about halfway towards ’foodie’). I shall return!“
