“Fun place...especially in the summer...includes outdoor seating. The place is definitely eclectic...and in somewhat of an off the beaten track location (if that’s even possible in north Jersey!). The food is reasonable and the beer selection although not great...surprisingly good. Definitely good value and fun food. Worth a trip but plan ahead in the warm weather as it gets very crowded.“

“Visited the Stirilng Hotel for the first time in years for a Kane Brewing Event, with a 12-tap takeover. Great tavern with an impressive tap list before the takeover, and then a bunch of great Kane brews during. Staff was great, food very good, really great experience!“

“Crowded for a Thursday night including a full bar but were seated at a table immediately. Good menu selection for both food and beer. Fairly priced, however some meals were slightly expensive. Had soup, pizza and a friend had chili which were all yummy. All wood inside and out with a cozy, woodsy feel. Western decorations, muskets, moose heads, antlers, saws etc! Cool feel, great place to grab a bite to eat and enjoy one of the 10 taps (7 appear to be dedicated to craft beer, the others are various of the "Big 3").“

“Good beer selection - no doubt. Pricey though. If you’re eating there food can be inconsistent as can the service and everything is ala carte - c’mon I have to pay for lettuce and tomato for my burger when you’re charging premium prices for the beer? Manager is a douche - never fails to let you know she is a recovering alcoholic. Great, may I have another round?“

“A really nice selection of beers on draft I would have given it more but I just came back from Philly and well I’m still reeling from that. Food is standard but tasty. Staff knows their beers and are enthusiastic about them which is great. Its an odd mix of locals and hipsters in a mountain jug band jamboree setting but a cool place with a chill vibe.“

“The Stirling Hotel has one of the best selections of beer in the state of New Jersey. I usually stop in once a week to see what new treasures they have on tap. The ONLY place I’ve ever had 120 min on draft. These guys know their stuff and the steaks are AMAZING.“

“Great selection of fantastic and unusual beer. The staff is very helpful, and always going the extra mile to help me out. The selection can’t be beat from micros, to craft, EVEN KEGS!!! I love this store, and the prices rock!“

“The inside part of this place is very rustic, dark and kind of close quarters. The outside is where this place gets attention from customers. In reality it’s not really done up (cheap patio sets and a very large picnic tent), but the fact that you can sit out on a nice warm day and get lunch and a great beer is great. The beer selection is great and always changing. For some reason every beer I get on tap there tastes amazing - better than the same ones I’ve had bottled. The food is overpriced for the portions but there’s just something about enjoying a great beer at lunch outside that keeps me coming back. I might go there today if I can convince a coworker to join me. I have only been there at lunch so I can’t comment on evening atmosphere. Oh yeah, the service is decent and they know their beers well even if they are wearing cutoff jeans and a stained t-shirt.“

“The Stirling Hotel is located off the beat and track and from the outside (and inside) looks very rustic indeed.There is a bar that seats about 10-15 people,as well as a large seating area with additional rooms.Also in the warmer months there is a patio area located behind,which also has a small bar.The selection of beers is great,with some nice, constantly changing choices on draft.The last time there they had Corsendonk,Blue Point,Stone,Smithwicks on tap as well as a great choice in bottles.The service is nice and laid back, yet attentive to your needs.The food is excellent with a great variety of classic American cusine.I have personally been coming here for many years and have never been dissappointed.Give them a try!“

“Knowledgeable staff, who will take the time to look for something you want. They are also more than willing to order for you if they do not carry it in stock. I was blessed enough to pick up some vintage beer from there. The salesperson told me that while they do get the beer geeks in there, even most of the beer geeks in the area don’t realize good beer ages, not skunks.“

“Quite a good selection of micros & imports. They carry a selection of sixes both warm & cold, solid variety of singles and even a few case you don’t see too often at most places. Overall a more than fairly nice selection of brews with a staff I’ve found to be helpful & polite.“
