“Beautiful location overlooking the lake. We stopped here because my daughter had a dog, and we had a dog and she was welcome on their patio. They were anxious to get out of there and close up shop near closing time on July 4th. Don't blame them. Will most likely be back.“

“Great place with outstanding view. Did not eat here. Sampled beers and found the selection worthy. Prices reasonable. Regret not bringing home a growler of the scotch ale.“

“Starkey’s Lookout is a barn-like building, double fronted and faced in stone, perched on a hill with a magnificent view over Lake Seneca. There are three parts to the place - a beer tasting room, a restaurant and a wine tasting area. They had eight of their own brews on tap and bottles were available too alongside other merchandise - t-shirts, sweatshirts, books and a few glasses. We were the first customers of the day so it felt a bit awkward as there were two staff members there to cater to our needs but they were very friendly and welcoming and the location is superb. (Visited 1 November 2012).“

“We stopped there in late January with the Finger Lakes Beer Trail winter Passport. We were the only ones in the place, so we had great service. Sampled everything on tap. Got bottle to go. Nice large clean place with a great view. Will have to stop back during warmer weather. Came back during the summer of ’14’ with Patty, Kara and Erica. We had lunch and beers on the deck overlooking the lake. Great view. Not really a food place. Prepackaged and warmed up stuff.“

“Visited on 31 October 2012 in the course of a Finger Lakes beer meander. Modern, airy and clean place with more of the feel of a classy wine tasting venue than a brewery taproom. Great location up above the lake with views down over it. Eight of their own beers on tap plus bottles to go. Sampler available at a very reasonable price. Quality was OK if nothing partricularly outstanding. The nice lady serving also threw in the soft drinks for free. Didn’t eat. A pleasant stop although the atmosphere might have been a bit better had we not been the only visitors.“

“Stopped with my brother in law. decent place, very new with nice new facilities. the beer tasting was on our right hand side. they offered two seperate flights with one for dark beer and one for lighter beers. we picked the dark beer flight which included an IPA!?! The beer was alright. we ordered food which was a complete rip off for the tapist portions.“

“New place on the lake, beautiful building overlooking Seneca Lake. beer tasting on one side, wine on the other. Small menu of food. The beer tasting area was nice, long tasting bar and tables with stools to enjoy a pint, Tasting area was full on a Saturday we went. 8 taps, tasting were $4 for 4 or $7 for 8. And they also have a rootbeer and orange cream soda. Nice place to stop and enjoy the view and a beer while doing the wine trail. We didn’t eat, so I can;t comment on the food, yet.“

“Stopped here on the way down the winetrail today and we’re glad we did. It was just after it opened, so my ambiance score is for a near empty place. A beautiful new building on top of a hill overlooking lake Seneca. Huge windows and lots of porch seating really set it up for a stunning view. Food area has a mix of tables and nice couches. Bar area has big high tops suitable for large groups. Good selection of beers - we tried all of the non-fruit flavored beers and our two favorites were the IPA and Czech Pils. We ordered 1 app (it’s a weird food setup - no table service but rather a food window you go pay at and order at) - a flatbread pizza that was really tasty. Next time we’re going through this area I think we’re going to have to get a sitter and get a hotel nearby to really settle in and enjoy the beers and the view. If you’re in this area or passing through, definitely put this on your itinerary for lunch, dinner or both.“
