60 /100 ONE MAIN STREET Very small storefront towards the end of the main street of Greenwich village, difficult to guess it’s a brewery from the outside. Tiny taproom with 3 tables, seven beers on tap and 3 bottles in teh fridge, mini pretzels on the tables, Celtic music on the loudspeakers. It was a Sunday afternoon and at least 3-4 couples, groups came and went while I was there, tasting 4 of their beers. They were not bad but really remarkable either. The village itself is also a picturesque little town. Take a look if you’re around. |
72 /100 ONE MAIN STREET In the door at about 2:30 on a Sunday in June 2016, place was about half full. Small tasting room that seats maybe 10, and that’s being generous. Bar accommodates another 5-6. They had six of their own beers on as well as a pair of ciders from a local cidery (which apparently they drive up to the cidery to pick it up themselves) The local thing runs strong here as there’s also other local things like coffee, maple syrup, jams, wines available for purchase. Brew day going on, so the space smelled amazing. Walls have a bunch of local stuff, thank you notes from things they’ve supported in the community, local art. Seems like the community loves them, and they love the community. Nice to see. While none of the beers blew me away, they were all clean and well executed, and I’m sure play very well to the locals. Not “destination” beers, but if you’re nearby, definitely worth the stop.
