“Decent enough place to hangout...especially if weather allows sitting outside...not a lot of great craftbeer close to Lake George...by Lake George is so cool...i highly recommend visiting and bringing your own craftbeer if you must. Cool looking place...nice people...there are a number of better food choices in town though. As for beer...not a large list...and nothing is really memorable. If you are not too picky you'll like some and consider the rest average...however, if you really love craftbeer...you're likely to be disappointed. Their LGIPA was acceptable...and "maybe" the Iroquois Pale Ale. Head down to Glens Falls for some better choices.“

“Visited a couple of times while here on holiday. Loved the decor, very in keeping with the surrounding area’s rustic charm. 12 beers on tap with option for a (pre-selected 6 beer sampler for 9.99). Food was great, best Burger I had in Lake George.“

“Large rustic log building housing the pub and the brewery, with several levels of outside terraces as well. Enthusiastic staff and cheesy 80s music were waiting for us. They had 14 taps with 10 of them active when I visited. They have sampler set of 6 beers for $9.99, with 6 oz glasses. Unfortunately all the beers I tasted seemed to be hopped for too long, ending with very little flavor but lots of bitterness. They have a food menu as well, but I didn’t try anything.“

“The time I was here, they had Two Hearted on tap. I didn’t have to ask to have my glass non-frosted, that’s a plus to me. They do have a ton of BMC, but hey, they get the easy to find Allagash and Ommegang stuff from time to time. My open faced hot roast beef was damn good too.“

“Place actually takes care of its pool table, has nice straight cues, uses pro chalk, great place to shoot. Tables and bars are very nice thick rustic wood, nice scenery, juke box, ATM, occasionally has bands or karaoke, etc. GREAT FOOD!!! And serves Adirondack Brewery Bear Naked Ale on tap!“

“Épicerie ayant une sélection intéressante, dont plusieurs à l’unité. Service absent et prix correct. Comme il n’y a presque rien d’autre dans le coin, c’est un bon endroit pour dépanner.“

“Visited: 7-18-12 This was the second time I had been here but first time this season. A: The building itself has a great rustic decor from the exterior to interior. It is very warm and inviting with lots of decor that is pleasing to check out. The one problem with the place is that the only time they are open 7 days a week is during the summer when they are usually jammed packed during peak hours. Q: Beer quality was decent, I have had several boring beers previously but quality seems to have picked up somewhat. It also seems they are doing a little more with creativity, barrel aging, expanding their arsenal. S: I sat at the bar with 6 other patrons and it took 10 minutes to get acknowledged and served. One bartender to cover bar and pour drinks for dining area is a little much for one person. Thankfully, the guy working the bar area seemed to know about the beer but my previous visit was not the case. S: They had 10 different beers on taps plus two beers in bottles that were barrel aged . The array of beers was nice and covered the gambit of styles, a good selection. F: I had the Chicken Pablano which was okay just bland in flavor...had to ask for crushed red pepper to add some flavor. I remember my previous meal here being average too. V: $5 pints, $6 120z bottles of barrel aged beers, average price for the greater area and the season. Overall, a nice place to come and visit on occassion....but on occassion.“

“Been here a few times and get my growlers filled here. I've read the reviews that were under a 3.0 rating. Seems to be a theme regarding the ambience and service. Yes the decor is basic but it grabs the atmosphere of the surrounding nature. The service was and is great, friendly and attentive. I work in a restaurant, from manager to server, so I understand if a restaurant is busy, do not expect the attention from the staff you think you deserve. The busier the restaurant is the less attention and slower service you will get. Also, if a server is grumpy, imagine racing around to table to table trying to make every patron happy while you have not had a break all day, you are starving, and you have not been able to go to the bathroom for hours. I have not tried all the beers there, the ones I had drank do not taste the same to me. I suggest cleansing your palate before drinking a different style, lingering tastes can affect on your current drink. I love the IPA, crisp and refreshing. Fat Scotchman is good as is the Dirty Blonde and Bear Naked. Even the raspberry watermelon is decent.“

“After a weeklong camping trip in the Dak’s we stopped in here to have a good lunch and of course sample the microbrews. The place is done up real nice but despite the whole area being alive with tourism the place was mostly empty, should’ve been a sign. Had a good selection of beers so I figured I’d try the sampler, but it specifically excluded two brews of a particularly special style - A Barley Wine and something else that I really wanted to sample. Of the seven beers on the sampler, one was barely decent, the rest all pretty much tasted the same, mostly green (rushed) & watery. The food wasn’t terrible but nothing special at all either. The service was mostly inattentive and not very friendly. My first visit to this place was my last.“

“I’ve been to Lake George several times before but my recent visit was the first time I checked this place out. It has a bit of a rustic look with a modern twist. A large outdoor area has plenty of seating under an enclosed area as well as a section if you want to get some sun. Indoor seating is ample, with a bar area that’s surrounded by nooks with tables giving it a cool vibe. The wait staff at first seemed preoccupied with the reporter there doing a story on their recent expansion, which is understanding. They weren’t busy so my service was not at all lacking, and when given the opportunity, they offered some insight on my upcoming beer stops. I did not try the food this time, maybe next. I had three of their beers and while they weren’t mind blowing I thought they were quite good. Better than expected, actually. I think they had 10 or so different brews on tap and more in bottles. They had a nice selection of various styles - IPAs, Wheats, Stouts, a Brown, a Rye Pale, among others. I heard mention of a BA Triple they just bottled but didn’t grab any. Nice conversation at the bar with another craft beer fan. Great time.“

“I was pleasently surprised when I stopped in. Enjoyed a number of samples out on there deck. In side had a rustic feel. Service was fine and server was able to answer my questions. Everything was well priced. Didn’t have the food. Worth a stop!“

“The atmosphere is nice enough. It has the appearance of an old log cabin. It’s a little rundown on the inside though. They have numerous menu items and signs on the tables are ou of date, which was aggravating. The service was friendly and attentive. The beers were certainly decent enough, and the food was actually good. The prices were pretty reasonable, especially for a tourist trap area. They have a reasonably priced gift shop where you can take some of their beers home, as well as some other things. Worth checking out if you are nearby.“

“Bit of a tourist trap for the area. Lake George has unfortunately become heavily trafficked in the summer time and people expect the comforts of home instead of the Adirondack experience. The beer was good and the food was good, but it was far too crowded to be enjoyable. The servers were over-worked and grouchy.“

“Much better than I was expecting. Ambiance is pretty much like any old "up north lodge." Much wider selection than I expected, though, with a couple beers in the 10% range. Pretty good quality as well. The food was quite good as well. We were there for a quick lunch mid-afternoon, and service was prompt with an informative bartender. So yeah, not bad in a tourist town.“

“Located at the tip of the tourist trap southern tip of the lake. This place offers food that is much better than the overpriced garbage you can get at places with a sea view, and lousy Mexican joints. The beer selection is also great with their beers all being well-crafted. This place gets insanely crowded, especially during the tourist season, but is well worth a visit.“

“Took our 2 1/2 year old with us for dinner. Server was on it giving us crayons and a paper place mat (so good for kids). Only flaw on the beer selection was no IPA currently on. Otherwise, good selection of mostly lighter bodied beers with one 10.7% scottish ale and a coffee stout (but only 3.7% on that one). Service was good - not outstanding, but certainly not poor. Food - burgers - were good, properly cooked and flavorful. Was a bit pricey (kids menu had a $13.95 chicken parm! but kids chicken fingers were $5.95 and a huge serving). 2 "Rodeo" burgers, fry upgrade to sweet potato fries, kids chicken fingers, 4 beers plus a pint glass was $56 - which I guess isn’t too bad for a tourist town.“

“Had a lazy lunch and tried all of the beers they had on tap. Beers ranged from pretty good to downright undrinkable. Food was pretty good, but the service was slow and a bit lacking. It was a slow Saturday afternoon at the end of tourist season, so they weren’t crowded or anything and I’d expect most of the staff had been there through the thick of summer, so that was a bit of a let down. Nice atmosphere and decor and located within a nice walk of most of the rest of the good tourist spots in the village.“

“Nice place in a tourist mecca. Beers were drinkable, but certainly not remarkable. Service was great, we ate on the deck on the 4th of July. I’d stop by if I was in town, but would not make the trip just to go here.“

“A decent enough brewpub. Has a bit of a chain feel even though it isn’t. General brewpub food, general brewpub beers. Inoffensive but not the most exciting thing in the world.“

“From the outside it looks like a fancy steak-house. The interior is log-cabin style. There was a strong stable smell inside, I suspect a spray or something to provide an exotic country feel. The atmosphere is halfway between a pub and a restaurant with some restaurant kind of tables and some pub stands. Boring country-ish music in the background. The food appeared above average although I didn’t eat there. They had 6 beers on tap and overall they were below average (1 was a drain poor). We visited three pubs on that day, the other ones being Pump Station and Troy Pub & Brewery. This one had the worst beers and that’s especially a sad statement when considering the competition.“

“one of the top 3 spots in Lake George. This was closed in April 2006, to my chagrin. APB has decent CalSteam & IPA, and the chow is above average. You can eat outdoors on a large deck; there is live music on summer/fall weekends. A must stop if in Lake George area. And for all you non-’Dackers - this is not really over-the-top for Adironack architecture, but fairly laidback. No problems parking & family friendly“

“almost campy log cabin theme, but in Lake George it is almost too perfect. beers are good -- solid examples of style and very drinkable. soda is even better -- ginger ale is superb. no spectacular beers -- nothing that is not worth drinking, but nothing that really rings the bell. good food, but nothing special. lousy service. the folks try hard, but I get the impression that the management is too cheap to have enough of them on the floor at once. managers/host(esse)s are clearly overwhelmed -- this was true this summer and each year for the last 4.“

“Visited on a Saturday night. This place was PACKED. Thankfully, I secured a place at the bar and ordered a sampler platter. I did not have any food here. The ambiance was like an Adirondack-y lodge. The bartender was very overwhelmed and busy, but I guess she was ok...to look at as well. They had like 9 beers on tap. The other patrons here were very curious as to what I was doing, which usually doesn’t happen. No one usually asks me what I’m doing, but I had a couple seperate people here that did and it was cool to spread the gospel.“

“Log cabin - cottage on the lake theme is so over-the-top that it works quite well. Service in the bar was excellent - attentive, friendly, and very cute. Brewer/owner paused to chat with our table when he noticed us taking notes and invited us back to see the brewery and chat about his processes. Very engaging fellow. The beers are simple, straight forward, clean and well-made. They are not world-class but they are definitely enjoyable. The California Steam is the stand-out. I ordered the Steak Wrap and found it to be very good. I split half and half with Lubiere for what he ordered but it was unmemorable (chicken sandwhich?) - I would definitely return for the steak wrap. While not worth the trip for the beer alone, this place certainly warrants a lunch or dinner stop if passing by this town on a trip in this area. It also would warrant repeated visits if vacationing in the area with family in this fairly touristy town. The brewer is knowledgeable about his craft and willing to try different styles while also paying attention to what will work for the local trade. Straight forward honest food, straight forward honest beer - and a darn cute waitress as well. Worth a visit.“

“Very accessible brews, made for the touristy patrons of the town. All were well-brewed, but most lacked any interesting characteristics for a serious tasting. A quite typical American brewpub.“

“Pretty much ditto what CapFlu said...I had a garlic burger and though it was a might too done for me, the garlic and quality meat were there. The Scottish ale was pretty good, the rest were for the most part decent--this is a very touristy town, and I suspect that the brewer (who was very nice and interested to talk to us) could do better with a different clientele.“

“Wow - A brewpub with 12 taps and only one bottle. Guess which one? Ommegang. Nice interior ambience reflects the country location. Friendly service from a young and cute waitress. For food I ordered the Saratoga Wrap - the vegitables were very fresh but it lacked enough sauce. A couple of draughts that stood out - Fat Scotsman Ale and the Californian Steam. I really appreciate the effort that the owner/brewer put into the decor and style variation.“
