“There was a decent selection of regional and US craft in addition to imports. Lots of single bottles, both large and small, along with lots of six packs. Pricing was reasonable. The guy stocking beer was very attentive and friendly, but there really wasn’t much he could help me with at the time.“

“Stopped in for lunch. There is a wide assortment of beers on draught and bottles, although a good number of them were widely distributed craft beers. The decor is basically wide screen tv’s wherever they have an open space. If you like television, then this is the place for you. Its a bit overdone for me. The food was ok. My friend had a cheese steak that was mediocre at best. I had soup which was good and fish and chips which I am guessing were frozen and fried. The booth was hardwood with no cushion and not tremendously comfortable. Not a place I would frequent regularly.“

“Amazing "zingers" (boneless wings) and tons of great beer on tap. Great selection and good service.“

“Probably the most spacious Whole Foods I have been to - a fair amount of cooler space filled mostly with micros, with several doors dedicated to bombers and 750s - the selection holds its own with most of the decent stores in the area - nothing rare, but they have a good selection of local and regional stuff, as well as a fair amount of belgian imports, including a few actual lambics - the is also a four tap growler station in the back by the cheese counter - in standard Whole Foods fashion, it is stocked with local product (Kelso, Great South Bay, Blue Point, etc.) - growler fills are super cheap, in the 6.99-8.99 range - not on par with the WF stores in Manhattan, and not a place to visit strictly for the beer, as there are several stores with slightly better selections nearby, but for an LI grocery store, this is impressive - time will tell if this lasts, though, as the WF in Jericho started out like this, but now has the crapiest WF beer selection I have ever seen.“

“After my fourth visit to the new Whole Foods store of Lake Grove, I was very impressed with the beer selection as I noted a very good mix abounding highlights. The beer section has a very able leader under the Special Foods Area who really seems to know her beer styles and has used that knowledge to make an great collage of beers that would please both the novice and the most serious of beer geeks. While one has to remember this is a supermarket, its beer section rivals that of many of the local beer stores and smokes the other food stores in the process. With a touch of the industrial beers without resorting to BMC, the store holds true to its organic focus. It is also clear that the W-F beer rep there consumes the products there for a fully versed knowledge one cannot attain simply by reading the hyped sales banter of every distributor on LI. I was very pleased to see interesting bottles of Dogfish Head Sahtea & Shelter Pale on the shelves as well as Bourbon County Stout, Abita Andygator, and Old Engine Oil.. “
