70 /100 729 MAIN ROAD, AQUEBOGUE I’ve been meaning to stop in for a while now. I go by it every day going to and from work. The building is rustic and comfortable with ample space and apple-related products including many varieties of their own apples, apple pie, breads and cookies. They have four ciders on tap regularly plus the occasional seasonal cider. The person pouring was friendly and happy to talk. There is a gas-fired wood burning stove which adds ambiance on a cold winter day. If you are visiting Long Island’s North Fork, this place is easy to find and worth stopping in for a visit. |
72 /100 817 PULASKI ST Ample off-street parking. The tasting room can sometimes be crowded and if you are stopping in for a growler fill, you have to push your way to the front. The folks at Long Ireland are very friendly and when you have a chance to talk with them, love to talk about beer. I didn’t count the number of tap handles, but I’d have to guess there were at least 8 different Long Ireland beers on tap, plus they have bottles for sale in the fridge. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in Riverhead. |
74 /100 400 HALLETT AVENUE Located on a side street in Riverhead, NY. Matt and Lauri are both very friendly and their operation is out front in full view. They are currently operating a 2 bbl system right now. They sell 5 oz. as well as pint pours in addition to filling 32-64 oz. growlers of their wonderful beer. |
92 /100 Riverhead Beverage (Beer Store) 998 OSBORNE AVE One of the premiere craft beer stores on Long Island. Sits on the Nassau Suffolk border and has a great selection. Must visit! |
