“Solid convenience type of store, probably could have been a tad cleaner. Saw a fair amount of adults with their kids. Lots of bottles here. Service seemed decent. Value seemed reasonable for that area of New York. I’d go back when in the area.“

“Stopped in after my faro disappointment hoping to salvage trip. Warehouse mostly with macro cases but a few isles of craft. Pretty decent selection and for area probably quite good. Nothing that really excited me though , but grabbed a few bottles of Jacks Abby, which is nice.“

“Aside from one other beverage center in the entire Cap District...This is the only place to buy beer. The selection is always growing, they even just added a large cider selection. Keep in mind, this is a beverage center, so there is plenty other products about. Of course, the big bastards take up most of the room, and by bastards I mean AB, Coors, Miller. In the back there is quite a decent selection of brews. One rack has domestics arranged geographically from west to east, left to right. Another has imports, again, arranged geographically from England to Asia...and oh, Cananda. Great place to stop by, and being that I live two minutes away, makes it even better.“

“Wasn't a craft beer fan until the staff started making suggestions. Now I'm hooked. It's a very knowledgable staff and the guys are willing to help out whenever needed. Glenville has an ever changing growler selection that make it work the trip too. Love it there!“

“If you need beer in a growler, and you are in Glenville, this is a good stop. Prices are reasonable and selection is decent. Bottles I saw seemed a bit aged, even though they were popular brews. Good for that growler though!“

“A convenience store that has a decent selection. Growler station that rotates occasionally. Never asked for help, but the employees were always helpful. Solid price point.“

“Has a great selection and it was in my childhood stomping grounds. The staff was friendly enough and really the only place in the area to get some decent beer outside a grocery store.“

“A must-stop for me whenever I’m in the Glenville/Scotia/Schenectady area. The front has the feel of a convenience store, while the back has a really excellent selection of both American micros and British bombers. Lots of full cases, half cases (many in the cooler), sixers and one of the better "Choose your own six-pack" displays I’ve seen. They always have 5 or 6 beers on tap for growler fills. I’ve never been disappointed with their quality or their selection.“

“My hometown store, and it hasn’t let me down. Very convenient to drive a few minutes down the street and pick up a new brew whenever I want.“

“Just a short (couple of miles) out of my way driving home from work. Usually at least one new growler selection every Thursday. For me this is a great place. Mostly regional micro brews on tap. Worth a longer drive if you need to fill a couple of growlers for a party.“

“A lot of local stuff. For someone coming from Canada, there is so many beers that we cannot find up here, but its especially est coast beer but there are a few good imports: Rochefort, Corsendonk, Westmalle, Orval,Chouffe, Traquair, Thomas Hardy... Fair prices.“

“Not sure why this gets the nod over Olivers on the brewtour. I went out of my way to go here (and this store is not convenient to get to if in Albany unlike the other bottleshop mentioned). While they stock many locals and regionals, their import section is lackluster and their staff seem to know even less about beer than they do at Olivers.“

“This is a nice sized, well stocked and varied beverage center for the tri city area. They have growlers, usually 6 or 7 at a time, with some pretty impressive selections. They are also pretty informed and are very willing to help over the phone.“

“Strip mall location with clean if bland interior. Service was not very helpful and was somewhat slow in dealing with both the line-up at the cash and the inevitable price checks. Perhaps understaffed. Selection of Eastern North American micros was very good if not exhaustive and they also had a large selection of macros in cases at what appeared to be very good prices. Not much in the way of imports. Prices were good and the mix’n’match 6-pack is a nice idea. Seemed to cater mostly to the ’pick up a case of swill’ crowd with micros as a sideline. I’d appreciate living near this place, but I would not go out of my way to return here.“

“Nice selection of mainstream American microbreweries, still dwarfed by Oliver’s in nearby Albany. Do not come here for Belgians! Very poor in anything else than Americans. Very good prices though for those micros. I have to disagree with CapFlu on the beer supermarket comment as one aisle of beer does not qualify as a supermarket for me. The store’s cleanliness could approach that of a supermarket’s, but it’s relatively small selection can’t get near. I don’t really mind the dust and warehouse feel of Oliver’s Beverage, as it’s what’s inside the bottle for me that counts. And most Belgians and strong American or English ales, beers I usually look for, don’t mind sitting on a shelf for a while.“

“As opposed to Muzzlehatch, I did enjoy this store - mainly because it had a good selection of better/standard/rarer American names that we don’t see in Canada: Line-up of Rogue, Cooperstown, Southern Tier, Sierra Nevada, Smuttynose, Magic Hat, DFH, etc. It doesn’t have the Belgian selection of Oliver’s in Albany but that place was dirty and cramped. This was like an up-scale beer supermarket! I particularly like the Magic Hat Thumbsucker Imperial Stout for $9.“

“Somewhat disappointing. We’d heard some great things about this place, but they had perhaps 20-25 Belgians, just a handful of Germans, ok selection of locals...for me it was actually a great stop, as I scored a whole pile of soon-to-be-history Unibroues (11,Terrible,Quelque Chose), but I don’t recommend this overall. Olivers is a much better choice in the area. Oh, and they’re a *beverage* store, so don’t expect proper boxes for any 750s you buy.“
