“Pretty much an average place all around. Nothing really that stands out. Food is basically run of the mill bar fare.“

“Conveniently located about 1/2 mile from my work this is where I always go to get my brewing supplies. They have a wide range of ingredients and equiptment. Very rarely do they run out of something you may want. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Overall it is a great LHBS. My only complaint is that they are not open on Sunday.“

“This is my LHBS & I’m lucky that it is. A great selection of products and a very knowledgeable staff make this a superb store. 99% of what I need is available whenever I walk in. Special orders are a breeze, with good communication when the product comes in. They offer a 10% discount for people in the AHA or a local club.“

“Just doesn’t have the atomsphere of the old location on Niagara Falls blvd, the beers on tap can be good...cb’s strawberry blonde is enjoyable, lunch special is a great value and the blackened chicken wings are incredible“

“I haven’t been to too many homebrew shops, and I don’t really brew, but this is a great place to get your supplies. They have a ton of stuff and are very helpful. If you’re a homebrewer, this is easily the best place in the area. Update: I brew now, and this is definitely where I go for my supplies. The service is still outstanding, and they typically have everything I need in stock. If you need particular yeast strains, specialty grains, or odd hops, just call ahead and they’ll take a look for you and/or order things for you if they’re out. I’ll be getting my hop rhizomes from there in the very near future as well.“

“very friendly staff, they helped me get a decent starter kit and didn’t try to push me up to buy any extras.“

“Very cool homebrew shop. They have every type of grain and every type of hop that you could imagine. Tons of equipment. They have ingredients for winemaking as well. Very helpful with questions and advice. I was impressed, I will stop in whenever I am in the area, which is pretty often.“

“This is a homebrew shop, one that I feel fortunate enough to live near. The ambiance really does not matter that much to me, and it shouldn’t to you. They have what you need, Paul and Becky are both super cool and great to deal with, and the prices are reasonable. Hit this place up, then make a b-line to Premier for some brew to drink while brewing (that is, unless you have some homebrew in the fridge, which I usually do not if I am brewing). Great place, and the tastings are fun as well.“

“Paul is a good guy to deal with, go when yo have some time to sit and chat. Long time customer. No need to mail order with this shop 10 minutes away. Parking lot is a pain inthe but to get out of if you dont’ know the area.“

“One of my favorite Homebrew shops. Good selection and prices. Great brown box kits. Have hours so you can actually get in to buy something. I don’t live in area but always stop when near. “

“Drove almost two hours to test this place out. Didn’t care much for the location or the decor. A peculiar smell (a combo of mothballs and latrine disinfectant) was the first thing that hit you when you entered. Not a good first impression. Staff was polite, friendly and speedy. Sampled the nachos; still trying to figure out what "taco meat" is. Beer selection looked good on paper but the four I sampled were bland and relatively flat. Bought a souvenir pint glass and realized afterward that it was used; thankfully it only cost $2 but I doubt I’ll ever use it. Doesn’t come close to fitting the "brewpub" genre at all. Maybe my expectations are too high but I wasn’t impressed at all.“

“They have about 10 of "their" beers on tap here that are contract brewed by Custom brewcrafters. The beers are average at best. Service is ok. The atmosphere is sort of lacking. It’s basically like a bar are a Ruby Tuesday, etc. Food was decent.“

“Very cool shop. Interesting selection of specialty grains, some of which I had not even heard of prior to going here. Source of some of the prizes for 2004 Ratebeer Homebrew Competition.“

“Food is pretty much standard pub grub/family restaurant fair. Beer list is mainly "house beers" made by custom brewcrafters, which are usually average at best. They also have a few other micros on tap like middle ages. Service is decent. I am not to crazy about the crowd that frequents this joint when its busy, but its not bad when business is slow. Overall a decent place.“

“Decent place, all things considered. Fair tap selection. Food was pretty good. Was crowded as hell on a Saturday evening, but they're open for lunch and I've been one of two people at the bar before. Not the best in the area, but not bad.“

“Disconcerting to find a bar split into the bar area and family dining next door. Atmosphere was mediocre, but not awful. Service was friendly and not bad, but I was a bit surprised to get a single bill for seven guys seated at the bar. Wings were excellent, though the sauce heat scale was higher than I anticipated. (I got medium sauce on the side and it was a big much for my weak tolerance) Blue cheese dipping sauce was some of the best I have had. The option to order a sampler tray is a nice plus that I didn't actually utilize.“

“I wasn't so keen on the atmosphere. The smoke-free thing was nice, but it was altogether too bright and spit-polished for a guy like me. The beer list is mostly house-brews, made by Custom Brewcrafters, so all right but not mind-blowing. I enjoyed my meal. I always, when in Buffalo, get "Buffalo food", which in this case was deep-fried ravioli. Anyway, as Buffalo places go, I'd put it below the Plant and Papa Jake's.“
