“Used to be Stone Yard. Big, lively sports bar feel. Nice lineup of beers. Food was good, a bit pricy outside of specials. Happy hour from 2-5 gives half price beers which would be a steal. I would go back.“

“I wonder if the selection has gone down. I finally made it here, they did not have a big selection. They did have some interesting choices, a few unique things, and decent prices, but really pretty small compared to other places around town.“

“Nice clean medium size place. Friday night at 9pm crowded with no place to sit and with wide chairs at the bar only one place to squeeze in to get to talk to a bar tender to order a beer. Many good beers to choose from. A table did open up. We did not order from the food truck. We'll try it again.“

“Very cool beer hall with lots of taps, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and tons of bottles too. Very much the craft beer drinking atmosphere and great for flights. Probably my new favorite in the Rochester area. House brew I had needed a bit of work, though.“

“Typical Irish pub with a very uninspiring beer selection. Nice enough place, but don't expect any interesting beers.“

“Cafe specializing in breakfasts. Dinner on Fri-Sun only, so check the hours on the site if you are planning to go. They specialize in local beers and also stuff from NYC, most of which you will not find in the Rochester area except here. Had Other Half on tap. Chill place, food looks great, friendly people. Will be back. Thanks to the anonymous dude in Wegman's who turned me on to this place!“

“Very friendly enthusiastic and super knowledgeable staff. Only tried one of their beers, it was great. They had other stuff on the menu fairly uncommon to Rochester (e.g. Fiddlehead) Prices are the norm, selection was way above average. Food from a food truck parked inside, that I didn’t try. Will be back for sure.“

“Always a large selection of hard to find great beers. I always find something that is just out on the market and not many have had yet. If I’m in Webster, I stop in.“

“Large place, newly redone, nice atmosphere. Brewer was in, and spoke to me a bit about his beers. Very friendly. Good prices, with a nice flight of 7 beers (usually 6) for $10, about 4-5 oz each. Beers were all quite good, a pleasant surprise from such a new brewery. Would like to go back often.“

“We really enjoyed our visit to this places, making use of one of the couches, also spent some time near the bar. Nice looking place, good service, very friendly staff, and all here were having a great time. Beers are very good and they periodically have seasonals not in their regular rotation. We’ll be back.“

“Nice new clean place with plenty of bar space and tables to sit at. Also gas fireplace with couches. I counted 18 taps on the wall. They had their 7 beers on 2 taps each. (Two guys can get poured a stout at the same time. Good idea) They hope to always have 8 of their beers available at all times. Free crackers. The 3 people pouring and serving were the owners and brewers and very knowledgeable about the beers. Good quality beer. A good time was had by my family.“

“The usual Irish beer selections but what a great pub/restaurant. Friendly, great food, decent beer, and sometimes live music. Night we were there the fiddler was roaming throughout the place playing instead of staying by the band. Very small and crowded but worth checking out.“

Hegedorn’s (Beer Store)
964 RIDGE ROAD
“Slightly old-fashioned feeling supermarket. Good stock of beers, mostly American craft, a few imports, mostly Belgian. Sadly, 12 oz beers are not sold separately. Lots of bombers and 750s. Prices average or better I guess. Selection is similar to Wegmans actually, though probably more choice in American bombers and 6 packs. Worth a stop but not a detour.“

“This is a supermarket with an exceptional selection of craft beer, so I felt it deserved a mention on RateBeer. The selection is quite impressive for a supermarket... lots of Belgian beers and lots of US microbrews. Germany is not very well represented here. The best part about this store is the price. Cheapest prices around... cheaper than Beers of the World or Wegmans. This truly is a place worth going to if you are in the area. Plus they have Orval. Enough said.“
