“Huge taproom with a large bar and ample space for eating or lounging. 14 beers on tap when visited, plus 4-5 cans. Great food menu, birreria tacos highly recommended. Very good beers all around. Every 11th beer is free. Must visit periodically.“

“ visited on 8/15/13. A: The place is pretty cool with an old style tavern/cafe feel to it. There is a bar along the right side of the wall that holds 18-20 people easily, then three rows of tables for dining. The building has the roll up front garage doors so that you can enjoy the outside when the weather permits. Q: The tap list was a little better than your average craft beer bar but they also had a solid bottle list, which is what kept us there. S: the waitress was very good, had a good general knowledge of the beer list and tap lists. She made a solid recommendation to go with one of their burgers, which was dead on. S: Decent Tap List and some really solid bottles with a nice variety through the many various styles, including Cascade Apricot and GI Juliet. F: As stated, the waitress recommended the burgers and it was outstanding. V: We paid $14 for a big bottle of Cascade Apricot ($20 on cascade website) and $20 for GI Juliet bomber...yeah, those are scores no matter where you are. We had two burgers, two drafts, two big bottles and our bill came to about $70...even got free snifters as we left. Overall, solid solid solid place...highly recommend when in White Plains or NYC for that reason. “

“Good selection on the menu, however, my first 3 choices on the menu were not available. Typical bar food that is edible, but nothing you would show up for without beer selection. Nice because local, but nothing too impessive.“

“Big fan of this place. Food is great, Burgers are top notch, you can’t go wrong with Lobster Mac N Cheese or Tequila Citrus wings. Beer selection is the best in the area, somewhere between 350 and 500 bottles depending on the time of year. Draft selection rotates constantly with a huge selection. They do some pretty nice events throughout the year and get in some pretty special beers from time to time. If you’re ever in White Plains definitely check it out.“

“Spent two very nice evenings at the Lazy Boy. They have a ton of taps and they’re all craft beer. This place is pretty much beer geek nirvana for Westchester County. I thought bar staff was attentive and personable. They had an extensive tap list as well as a rather large bottle list. They pizza was pretty solid as well. Compared to some of the other bars on the block, I appreciated the laid back vibe of the place and how they had music playing in the background but it wasn’t so loud that you couldn’t have a conversation. I’d definitely go back the next time I’m in the area.“

“Located on a main street in White Plains. Good luck with finding parking. The ambiance inside is classic wood bar. Nothing fancy with a big bar, a few flat screen tvs, single access bathrooms and patio seating outside facing the main road. Our server was terrible. We waited 15 minutes for our drink order even though the place wasn’t crowded. When we got our drinks our waitress never returned and we had to make our food orders at the bar. Me and my friend were debating whether our waitress was drunk or just plain stupid. I’m really hoping she just had a few drinks before work. My friend ordered a burger and I ordered nachos. Both were ok, nothing special and nothing repulsive. The prices for food and beer is average for the area, but there are a few specials every day that are rather affordable. Really the only thing going for this place is their amazing beer selection. Their tap selection is diverse and doesn’t boast a lot of redundancies. Also, a lot of brewers that I have not seen served much in the area (AleSmith, Cigar City, 21st Amendment, Goose Island to name a few). The beer is served in it’s appropriate glassware and temperature. I wouldn’t go there ever again to dine because the service is terrible. If I were ever in the area again, I would just sit at the bar. This place has the best selection in White Plains, but it’s not worth traveling for to. If you have a favorite beer bar in your town, stick with that one.“

“Decent sized bar with nice patio. Rock music jamming. Good looking bartenders. Great tap and bottle selection including CL Smoke from the Oak and Utopias. Cigar City, Captain Lawrence on tap and even an Alesmith cask. Had the pulled pork which was awesome. Within walking distance of hotel. Will definitely be back.“

“Nice wooden, old school west sort of vibe. Selection is great in both bottles and tap, and the bartenders all have a pretty solid beer knowledge. Food is slightly above average for bar food. Value is decent and fair. Crowd is very mixed, but mostly late 20’s early 30’s.“

“This is a great place! Full of Taps! People and food! Great location in the heart of White Plains. Street parking nearby. Watch out for the man when you leave! White Plains is Brutal on DWI!“

“The wall behind the bar is lined with beers from their bottle selection and there are plenty of taps lining the bar as well. The place has an old pub feel, minus the flat screen tv’s and outdoor seating during the summer months, which is really nice. The food is eclectic, creative and delicious, though deciding on what to have if difficult given the extensive menu. The beer list is tremendous and there are some rarities, including Captain Lawrence and some fresh-hop and cask-conditioned varieties on tap. For some reason, they’ve omitted sour ales from the list, which is beyond me. Some of the bartenders are knowledgeable, but much of the waitstaff have no interest or knowledge of craft beer. They are friendly and outgoing, which is their saving grace. I love this place and I stop in with friends and family whenever I’m in the area. Nobody in Westchester can top this place.“

“After a day at Captain Lawrence a bunch of us drove over here for some food andmore beers. The selection on tap and bottle was actually pretty great especially for the area. Worth a visit if you are out there. The food was really good and in the summer or warm weather it is great having outdoor seating. The place has a pub feel and everyone is really friendly and accomidating.“

“Tremendous selection of beer - IF the Hopdevil or Dogfish doesn’t run out. Bartenders are usually helpful, always give a taste or 2 if you’re unsure [ha !]. Food is "OK pub" - nothing more. I’ve been going here over 10 yrs, work around the corner, and it’s tough to get a beer @ 6.15pm on a summer Friday nite for sure. But for a place like this to be available year-round is great - but you are guaranteed to get pissed off a few times/yr by some of the staff“

“Was heading next door for a late lunch until I saw the Anderson Valley neon out front. Great selection in botttles as well on tap. Enjoyed Dupont Saison on tap. Great selection of Belgians as well as American micros. Unfortunately, took 4 trys until a beer was available off their huge list. Burger was excellent as was chicken sandwich. Brushetta needs work though.“

“This bar boasts an enormous selection of beers both on draught and in the bottle. The food is above average pub fare for the most part. The wait staff is lackluster at best. This place is better to visit on an off day than it is on a weekend or during a major sporting event.“

“It would be a great place to try out the varieties because their beer menu does boast alot of the greatest....but odering these great beers is a bit of a problem. Just because its on the menu doesnt mean they actually have it. I picked about 6 different beers off the menu before I chose one they actually had. Besides that, I love the place. Always have a wonderful and diverse selection on tap, and the food is very good too. A favorite of mine.“
