“Visited with Franco on a daytrip that started at Salud, then here, then Grantite Falls and finally Fonta Flora. This place had the most character of them all. Owner and brewer Bo (sp?) turned an old machine shop into a brewery taproom on a shoestring budget with salvaged material and a half barrel system. There’s a small outside area with tables, inside has a stage in one corner, and the bar opens to a shaded but small outside patio. An ultra friendly drop kick dog greets you, and in our case tried to follow us to the next brewery. Four house beers on offer when we visited; malty ones were fine, the porter above average, but the lighter ones suffered from off flavors we’re guessing due to temperature control issues. Bo told us a salvaged three barrel system is in the works, and that should help. Eight well chosen guest taps were available too, and you can do flights of four for seven bucks of house or guest beers in any combo. Free limited bar snax. Frozen microwaved hot pockets check the legal box so they can serve wine (but why not cheese/bread and charcuterie?). Looks like a good time can be had here in the evening, especially when there’s music, or you could come for the Rock Paper Scissors tournament in July. So for now this place has great potential, but for their beers I’d wait for the bigger system. For atmosphere, friendliness and a fluffy four ounce dog, this place can’t be beat.“
