72 /100 Emerald Isle Mini Mart (Grocery Store) 3305 EMERALD DR This non-descript convenience store has a very nice beer selection available. The staff working there were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you happen to be staying near Emerald Isle and searching for a wider variety of beer. |
70 /100 Emerald Isle Wine Market (Grocery Store) 9102 COAST GUARD ROAD Surprised I never rated this before! Two years ago I vacationed with family at a nearby condo and this was in walking distance. Place is a gas station/beer&wine store hybrid. Craft and import selection were much better than nearby grocery stores. Pricing was fair and the service was friendly. If you’re a craft beer drinker in Emerald Isle it’s this or Harrika’s across the bridge. |
74 /100 Emerald Isle Wine Market (Grocery Store) 9102 COAST GUARD ROAD As described in previous reviews, a great selection of beer and wine. Lots of bombers. The only low point was the young lady working the counter that had never heard of any of the beer I was purchasing. Other than that, the atmosphere and selection were excellent. I’m glad I stopped by. |
74 /100 Emerald Isle Wine Market (Grocery Store) 9102 COAST GUARD ROAD This place needs a new review, and I’m glad I get to do it since I finally got to stop here. I was shocked at how awesome this store is, given the location. I liked the vibe of the gas station mixed with wine/beer store. Don’t let that fool you, though...it is clean and well organized with nice shelves and plenty of room for beer. A load of cold sixers take up a wall of coolers, and a walk-in cooler has more 4-packs and sixers, and cold singles! Then in the wine section, there’s a wall of bombers and several more fixtures with seasonals and such. Pull singles out of any sixer you can see, huge bonus. The prices were right, and the staff were friendly enough. Having grown up spending lots and lots of time in Emerald Isle, it’s downright strange to me that this store exists. But it’s great that it does! Heavy on US craft with an east coast slant - Heavy Seas, Dogfish Head, all the NC beers, Terrapin, Sweetwater. Not a lot of Belgians or imports, but lots of Mikkeller. |
80 /100 Emerald Isle Wine Market (Grocery Store) 9102 COAST GUARD ROAD Great little bottle shop...The selection wasn’t bad, and they allowed mix & match six packs. They carried about 50+ different bottled beers and quite a large selection of proper glassware. The glassware was very reasonably priced as most were a little over $2 including Duvel and Ommegang glasses. The service was excellent and the prices were very fair considering the location on the island. I think EIWM deserves a little higher rating because of the selection vs. location factor. They may have switched the store around since eboats went, because the sunlight conditions were not an issue. |
36 /100 Emerald Isle Wine Market (Grocery Store) 9102 COAST GUARD ROAD Just a small wine-market/gas station with a limited amount of craft beer. There is enough to keep you satisfied and you can mix and match. Overall, nothing special, but worth going to if on the island. |
66 /100 Emerald Isle Wine Market (Grocery Store) 9102 COAST GUARD ROAD Much better selection at this place than anywhere on the island. Was happy to finally find some good beer at EI. Conditions aren’t great, but all the beers I bought were still in good shape. Considering the options, Im happy this place exists. |
54 /100 Emerald Isle Wine Market (Grocery Store) 9102 COAST GUARD ROAD Yeah it got some gas pumps out front, and one side does look like your usual gas mart, but the other side had a wide range of wines and a select amount of some pretty good beers at some decent prices. |
60 /100 Emerald Isle Wine Market (Grocery Store) 9102 COAST GUARD ROAD This is the only place in Emerald Isle that I could find decent beer. They have normal macros and some good craft beer to. Some of their selection includes:
Paulaner Hefe
Victory Golden Monkey
Victory Hop Devi
DFH 60 minute
All 3 Chimays
Many Duck Rabbit Beers
Lindemans
Achel
Flying Dog
Weybacher Blithering Idiot
Rogue Imperial IPA
Rogue Shakespeare
Other assorted rogue bombers
Actually found 1 DFH 90 in the cooler.
This place looks like a gas station in fact it is one. But it has a small beer and medium sized wine selection area built in. They had both Trappist and Hefe glasses in plain sight. There were quite a few other beers I can’t remember off the top of my head too. They also have Redhook/SA/SNPA. Again, this is the best I have found in the area. I should also point out that the conditions in which the beers were kept were horrible. Too much sunlight. |
