“Older building that has been remodeled in "historic downtown" Wake Forest. Not much going on here. Small town in the middle of nowhere. Large space inside. Large bar, with NO SEATING AT THE BAR. No idea why? Maybe a dozen tables in a bland dark space. Service was ok. Just a long drive for not much in return. There are many better places in Raleigh. This one is certainly forgettable.“

“Our favorite spot in WF for a drink. It’s even better when the weather allows for sitting out on the patio. Best bottle selection I’ve seen in the area hands down. Great staff. The rotating taps always have some gems...it’s worth a visit!“

“Love this place. Joe is a great owner and Ruffs is a great beer guy. They always have beers on tap that I've never had. There beer club is also a great deal! I'm not a wine drinker but their wine selection is great as well. Give this place a try and you will not be disappointed.“

“Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Located in a little down town area of Wake Forest. Apparently Wake Forest (the University) used to actually be in Wake Forest (the city), but its not anymore. Modern and classical feeling place. Brewery is open and visible to the bar area. Lots of places to sit and a couple flat screen TVs. Beers here were solid. The bartender had a takeout menu for a pizza place just a few doors down, which delivered to the brewery. Had a good time here and would certainly recommend it.“

“Awesome brewpub in the heart of downtown historic Wake Forest, NC. Though the beer selection is limited at the moment to 5-6 different brews, each beer is well crafted and thoroughly enjoyable. Staff is great and the building is a sight in itself, keeping true to the historic appeal of the town.“

“right in downtown, which was under construction at the time. Big space, divided roughly 60/40 between brewery and seating area. Lots of exposed brick and new varnised wood. twenty or so tables all 4 person tables, bar could have another dozen people at it, Service was good, but it was the early part of the evening so they had no excuse. You get you beer at the bar and seat yourself. no food at brewery, but they already have someone else, a local seafood place I believe delivering there. they had a kolsch, pale ale, black ipa and Impy pale ale on when we visited, nothing great, but fair to good. didn’t rate beers, just ticked, normal prices for beer. Once the downtown spruce up gets done it’ll be fun place to visit, not a must go to right now, but if in the Wake Forest area worth a visit, will follow up to see if they do something more as they mature“

“Nestled away in the sleepy hamlet of Wake Forest is a terrific store that has one of the best selections of craft beer in Raleigh. Don’t let the name (Wine 101) fool you---There is a wall full of top-notch craft beer from some of the best breweries that distribute in NC--Founders, Bells, Terrapin, Bear Republic, Southern Tier, Sweetwater and many, many more. They also have a small cooler with some chilled beer available as well. The staff is terrific, and will special order beer for you if you ask. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Does buying beer make you thirsty? Well, you are in luck. They have several taps available, always with some very good selections. Right now they have Southern Tier UnEarthly IPA on tap. You can buy a glass, and sip while shopping or relax at a small table inside the store. Oh yeah...they also have a really good selection of wine... So, save a trip to Raleigh and get your beer here...you won’t be disappointed! “

“Nice wine/beer store in Heritage/WF. Bin2 (rb handle) knows his beer. They have a modest but smart selection. No singles is kind of a downer. Its a small wine store w/ a good beer selection in the outskirts of the Triangle..kind of what you expect. ’ Prices are probably 10-15% higher than sams but you dont need to trek to durham. Best part is probably 5 beers on draft..a few limited to enjoy while you shop....if you are nice, growlers of hard to find beers might be available.“
