70 /100 Hickory Tavern - Wesley Chapel (Restaurant) 6400 WEDDINGTON-MONROE RD Good food, good beer, service is always nice and prompt. Large place that can get crowded on football game days. We go here several times a year. Not cheap, but worth it. Just like every other hickory tavern in charlotte.. |
72 /100 Hickory Tavern - Wesley Chapel (Restaurant) 6400 WEDDINGTON-MONROE RD Tavern/Restaurant chain in NC/SC. Good selection of food, but it’s mostly the typical Charlotte area upscale sports bar menu. I was surprised with the amount of beer available, which is why I added it here. Service was very good and server was very knowledgeable about beer. I will be back. |
86 /100 201 Central - Wesley Chapel (Beer Store) 5939 WEDDINGTON RD This is Harris Teeter’s beer and wine specialty store. The emphasis is obviously on the beer as they have kits, ingredients, kegs, bottles, packs etc. The selection of beer is incredible and you can buy single bottles, make your own 6 pack, or buy packs and cases. They always have free tastings and specials, giveaways and classes. The rest of the store is devoted to wine and wine accessories, cigars, and lots of organic food (grind your own peanut butter!) All in all it’s a great store. |
78 /100 201 Central - Wesley Chapel (Beer Store) 5939 WEDDINGTON RD Bottle shop located where Lowes Foods once was. This place is pretty good - regularly has 12 packs of Sierra / Sams for 10.99 - hundreds of singles, tons of locals. Alot of wine, cheese, and all the band wagon organic shit that people love to eat. Has a little bar where you can get a simple sandwich and a glass of wine. Humidor inside as well. Run by Harris Teeter so your VIC card works in here. Good store; I go a few times a month. Staff does not know much; at least the ones I have talked with. They have some home brew stuff too, but don’t go here looking for some rare sour funk you can put in your home beer. Nor do they sell lambic baskets. |
