“I've been intrigued by this place for a long time but never visited because I'm never in this area of town and generally passing through after a trip back from the west or just heading out of town. It's a big place broken up into a lot of smaller rooms (and patios) along the Great Miami River in Cleves. It tries to capture the old world German charm with a lot of stone work and wood framing and the decor is split between suits of armor, German beer signage, and U.S. military propaganda. Very odd. There's nothing really special here, beer-wise. Some macros, some very basic German stuff, and a house beer in their name that's just rebranded Warsteiner basics. The food, though, is great. Hearty German and American fare, reasonably priced for the portions and quality. It's not a beer destination. If you're an RB traveler looking for ratings, skip it. If you're a local looking for a good meal in a unique environment, check it out.“

“dedicated parking lot. no wifi. has 10 taps. Didn’t check the bottle list. Beautiful place with lots of outdoor seating. Great decor, including a juxtaposition of beer signs, medieval helmets, and WWII weapons. Lots of character. Food was delicious. Loved my Schwein pork chop. Would return, but this is pretty far from where I live. Glad I stopped by.“
