74 /100 424 WEST 3RD ST. Hoodletown Brewing in Dover, Ohio is in a newer building. Dim lights and big windows keep the place lit. Crowded on a Saturday afternoon. 15 beers on tap. Couple bar tenders and a couple wait people. My wait person seed to have attitude problem which brought this score down. Souvenirs t shirts for sale here. Overall seems like a decent place Cheers! |
70 /100 424 WEST 3RD ST. Visited on a Friday afternoon shortly after they opened at 4 PM. They were actually about half full at that time and people were rolling in throughout the time I spent here. I ordered a flight to split with my friend, which ended up being 10 different beers. They covered a good breadth of styles ranging from American Wheat, Gold, Amber, IPA, Stout, to a couple german styles with their Oktoberfest and a Dunkel. The quality of beer is about middle of the road. Nothing bad here, but room to grow and improve. I liked that they didn't appear to be trying to chase trends and are going with a more traditional approach, and I hope that works for them. I intend to stop in again when I am passing through. Prices are a bit high on their flights, but the full serving sizes were more fair. Overall I had a good time here, and would recommend it as a place to try. It is just a few minutes off of I-77. |
