“Karrakin is a large spirits, wine, beer, cider, and non-alcoholic beverage place in Fairfax, tucked just to the south of US-50 before you enter Mariemont heading east or Cincinnati heading West. It's a new building, large and open, with a long L-shaped bar in the main room as you enter and plenty of tables. There's a second room off to the left, with more tables and a kitchen bar. They put more into the food here than most places. There are 40ish taps but only 6 or so devoted to beer, at least when I visited. Of course they can reallocate those however they want as things evolve. The service was good but I visited as they opened on a weekday so I beat the rush; weekends apparently get very crowded and they recommend reservations. Everyone was quite friendly. The food is good; I got a burger and fries. The beer is pretty basic, at least in the early going. Nothing bad, nothing special. Everything was available in very low, wide 5-oz. glasses for $2-3 apiece. Overall, it's definitely a big, unique place worth a visit for groups with people who all want to drink different things.“
