“Free dedicated easy parking lot. Old pickup store. Quite a distance from Cincinnati. A guy was restocking beer when I was there and was unavailable to discuss selections available. They had some Bourbon County from back in November otherwise I found nothing special. This place did have some singles, however my biggest knock against this place is most of the beer selections here seemed to be on multi-packs only. They had a growler station with around 10 beers on tap, nothing I wanted to try and Bud Light was on tap. I did not buy anything here and don’t plan to go back. I would not go out of my way to go here and am confused about the higher ratings for this place.“

“This is a very cool space built from a depression era municipal building. On a warm day it opens up on a large patio. Lots of parking. They had 18 of their beers on tap of various styles. No food but yes food truck. Service seems to be limited to the bar. Very family friendly with dogs and games. Definitely a cool local beer hangout.“

“Nice place to meet friends and hang out and enjoy a few really nice beers. They have 5 or 6 on tap. Games for kids and families to play. Lots of fun. They have a rotation of food trucks also and menus to order from local places.“

“The brewery may be 20 High Street, but it is actually on the back side of the building (not on High St). Open patio, and plenty of tables and bar inside, a very personable and inviting spot. The beers are their own, with 7 presently on tap, all of the lighter variety. Service is terrific, and the ambiance is as well. A happening place to keep an eye on.“

“Municipal Brew Works is located in Hamilton’s historic art deco municipal building, which now houses a start-up incubator for small businesses along with the brewery. The tap room is located on the north/northeast side of the building, to the left if you’re facing the front of the building with your back to the river, and they have two big garage doors between the large patio and the tap room itself. They only had four beers on tap when I visited, but it will soon be 10+, as they’d only been open a week. There’s no food, but you can order delivery or bring in your own. The space inside is cozy and charming, and the patio allows for large warm weather crowds. It seems as if the community has really embraced this place; there really aren’t any other craft beer options in the city. The beer was good, better than expected, and prices were $5.25 per pint. This should be a very steady presence in Hamilton for a long time, with a great space, good beer, and people who really seem to care. I’ll be back.“

“Noonan’s is toward the northwest end of the main drag through Hamilton, about 2 miles from the river and downtown. It’s a white building with ample parking and an easy to see sign. The store has ample beer, wine, and spirits sections; the beer is straight to the back. There’s a heavy macro supply, but a few shelves of bombers and a lot of six packs in coolers, as well. Nothing particularly stood out while I was there, although I could see this being a place for the occasional sneaky find. Prices are in line with the rest of the area. The staff was a bit surly, but someone did ask if I needed help when I was there. It seems like they had a good amount of people working; I got the impression it’s a well-run operation. There are other better places 15+ minutes away, but I’m not sure where else to buy beer in Hamilton. This was an oasis in a beer desert for a long time, but maybe now with Municipal open, Hamilton will start to catch up.“

“Best place in Hamiltucky for beer. But if you really like beer drive over to Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield.“

“I was passing through Hamilton last week and decided to grab a six pack of beer for the night. I went into Noonan’s and was impressed from start to finish. The staff greeted me as I walked in and asked if I needed assistance. After browsing for a while I asked one of the young men if he had any beers he preferred. You could tell he was a marketer he had me give a full description of what I was looking for and then handed me a six pack. I could not have been more pleased how the entire experience went. I highly recommend stopping in! Can’t beat a small town store with such great service.“

“Noonan’s is probably the nicest local-type liquor store I have ever seen. It is clean, bright, and well organized. They have a full selection of liquor, wine, and beer as well as some cigars and other items. Actually, they have two aisles of beer that include three sides worth of coolers. Half of that is macro stuff, but then the rest is micros, craft beer, and imports. They have a slightly better than average selection of stuff and it includes packs as well as some singles. They also have some of the more eclectic selection of Belgian beers which is a surprise for the area. Actually a lot of the beer selection is surprising to see, but welcomed none the less! They also have a nice selection of sale beer as well. It’s always changing, but sometimes there are some great deals!“

“They don’t have quite the inventory as Jungle Jims, but they do have beer knowledgeable people on staff. They also sell singles at excellent prices. They frequently have specials on inventory that they want to turn over quickly. Well worth the trip. More often than not they have a special going on with some fantastic beers!“

“A short drive from Oxford, Noonan's is my choice if I know what beer I am looking for. If I want to browse, I take the longer trek to Jungle Jim's. Noonan's offers a similar array of beers as Jungle Jim's, albeit housing a much smaller selection. Seasonals from Bells, Dogfish Head, Victory, Stone, etc. that quickly disappear from Jungle Jim's tend to stay on the shelves here longer. Noonan's has one large double-sided case of several coolers dedicated to beer. One side offers domestic microbrews, and the other offers foreign (largely German) brews. Most offerings are only available in 6-packs, although the singles section periodically expands to accomodate a larger selection. Improving Belgian selection. The staff at Noonan's by and large have a passion for good beer and are willing to make special orders.“
