“Visited on a Saturday early afternoon. From the outside, the location looks like a house with a parking lot in the front. Coincidentally, that's exactly what it is. The meadery tasting room is on the right side of the house. As you walk in, there is a counter immediately to your left. On my visit, there were four session meads on tap and five or six still meads available to sample as 1 ounce pours. All are $1 to sample. The most exciting part for me was the bottle sales. I was able to purchase several bottles I was on the search for, and at good prices. Some were even on sale! Another exceptional part of my visit was the service. The woman working was friendly and helpful, and went out of her way to help me try to find some of the other meads I was looking for that they did not have there. Overall, I was super impressed with my visit, and I hope to get back soon.“

“(Visited 08/2013): Crafted Artisan is in Mogadore on Route 43 (Cleveland-Canton Rd) south of 224 and Waterloo Roads. Parking is available in front of the building.

My first visit was on National Mead Day coincidentally, so the outside of the house had a tent set up with picnic tables and a tent. The inside is cozy, opening immediately to a small walk up/standing bar on the left where flights and glasses can be ordered. A board is next to the window listing the available Meads. Beyond that are some shelves for merchandise which includes bottles of Mead to go and their own brand of honey. On the right side a room opens to where the Mead is made.

All of the Meads available are poured at the bar. On my visit this included a Spiced Apple Cyser, Hop Nectar, Tupelo Sweet, Tupelo Dry and Blue Honey Melomel. All of the Meads were above average.

Service during the event was good. The proprietors were friendly and clearly passionate about their product.

Food is not served at the Meadery.

All in all it is nice to see another Meadery operating in Ohio, and this spot is worthwhile.“
