“Stopped in here on a Friday evening and there was a pretty decent crowd. Nice, simple, warm space in an old light industrial building. Family friendly. No food but they regularly have food trucks. Friendly service. There are a dozen taps, split between some regulars and seasonals. Flights of four are available for $14. Six packs to go are $16. Good quality cider. Cincy has some breweries that do some ciders but this is the first cider-only producer in the city. And it shows. They know what they're doing. If you're a cider fan or just looking to try something new, this is a nice change of pace and better quality than most breweries in the area.“

“Hi-Wire Brewing's Cincinnati location is actually in Norwood, part of the old U.S. Playing Card Company development. They occupy the ground floor and third floor of a space right in the middle of some apartments, with a patio that faces a stage and two decks, although it doesn't seem like the second floor is open (event space? other business?). There are about 20 taps along with coolers with plenty of cans to go. The space is big and modern and lively. Long bar, well staffed. Beer is pretty good overall, nothing special but good. Prices are fair. There is no food; the development will eventually have a food hall but for now they direct you to Angilo's Pizza a block and a half down the street, and you can have it delivered there. There's an outside bar that isn't open yet, and currently their license doesn't allow beer very far out on the patio, basically to a spot that would not even go the length of the outdoor bar. The other complaint is that there are literally 2 bathroom stalls for the whole first floor and there were hundreds of people here when we visited. Same situation on the third floor. That has to be against code, and it sucks. Otherwise, fun spot to visit.“
