“Visited on a Saturday afternoon. There is a dedicated parking lot, so that’s easy. I lucked out and got a spot close to the building. They were pretty busy on my visit, however I was still able to get an outside seat easily. The bar is visible as soon as you walk through the door, and they had a good variety of their own beers on draft. I ordered a flight of four. All the beers were good to great. I could see lots of good things coming from them in the future. They had a food truck here on my visit, and the items I had were delicious. I left off a score for food because I do not believe it is always there. Likely on the weekends it would be, though. I really enjoyed myself at this brewery, and would recommend it as a destination on the outskirts of Columbus.“

“Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Kind of an interesting thing to come across a gas station with a cool beer selection, and I’m not talking about carrying 20 different malt likkas, because that’s cool too. They carry probably close to 200 labels of beer, with a section of build-your-own six pack singles. Lots of stuff from local breweries like Platform, Rhinegeist, Jackie-Os, Columbus, Land Grant, North High. Pretty much all of the packaging Ohio brands are offered. Pricing is decent, and in line with the area. My expectations were exceeded.“

“Constructed where the old creamery existed, but burnt down, Combustion has a nice feel to it. Long main bar, good view of the brewery, and a large outside area make this a comfortable place to relax. The beers were average, but friendly servers made you feel better about that.“

“(Visited 11/2013): This store used to be a Sunoco but is now a Shell, and is located on Hill Road (256) in Pickerington between I-70 and Refugee. There is a small parking lot in front of the store.

The interior is a typical gas station convenience store, and the beer is in a separate room on the right. That side of the space is very disorganized, with coolers and shelves displaying a hodgepodge of beers.

As far as the beer selection, it is decent in and of itself but really good for a gas station. This includes Ohio breweries like Great Lakes and CBC, and other craft breweries like Troegs, Founders, Rogue and Stone.

Service by the guy at the counter was good, again through the lens of a gas station. He asked if I needed anything and was friendly at checkout.

All in all, we live in strange times now where you can get growler fills at Drug Mart and a decent craft beer selection at gas stations and grocery stores, and I like it.“

“I do a lot of my grocery shipping here, and that’s were I discovered that they also have a good beer selection. They don’t get the rare/special releases, but they do get a good amount of seasonal and regular beers. They have DFH, Stone, Founders, Troegs, and the other well known craft breweries that are available in the area. And they do make a point to get the Ohio craft breweries such as Fat Heads and the Brew Kettle. They have a better beer selection than most grocery stores in the area get. So if you’re looking for decent beer (and not really into the special/rare beers), then the Pickerington Giant Eagle is a good place to stop, especially on the East side of Columbus. I can’t think of any other grocery store on the East side that has this good of a craft selection.“

“This was a suprise. A gas station with craft brews? This is a nice stop if you are on the far east side of Columbus. Pickerington really has no close places to get craft beer. The ownerr was there the day we stopped and was very helpful. He took our requests to see what he can get. The selection was above average, but my only complaint was that the singles selection was not there.Prices were decent and I will definately revisit.“

“I truly wouldnt have believed it had I not seen it. Sunoco? Really? YES. Nice selection, about a back and front side of an isle of six packs of craft beer. Numerous singles too, although not as many as I would like. Hoppin Frog, Dog Fish Head, the usual suspects. Owner was SUPER nice and seemed very interested in our feedback. He offered to get us any other beer we wanted. I dont think its a beer mecca that I would go out of my way to find, however, if you are in Pickerington, and need your fix of craft beer, this is DEFINITELY the place to go, other than Andersons over on Brice, or the drive over to Blacklick, this is the closest place. Will go back for sure! Prices seemed SLIGHTLY higher than other stores, but not outrageously so.“
