“This shop is a nice little deli and bottle shop. The food is excellent and craft beer lovers will have a good time in this place. The selections rotate so you have to be quick to get something if you want it. The single bottles are placed nice with all the seasonals arranged altogether so its great if I want a summer beer mix pack.“

“Overall Back Alley Beverage is a great place to join. The service is great especially for custom orders. I email them and within a day I get a notice from them concerning my orders. I also like how clean the place is and that selections rotate to please all beer drinkers.“

“This is a place where beer lovers won’t get overwhelmed and at the same time have a killer variety of beer styles. The selections always vary which is a great thing they do. For example I had to get Southern Tier Hop Sun quickly before it sold out.“

“As a beer fan Back Alley should be on your list to visit!! These guys are great in regards to craft beer. I was looking for some 21st Amendment and Liene seasonals. They were easy to find along with other seasonals they offered. If you like Beer glasses they have a diverse selection of glassware styles.“

“My experience at BAB was a great one. I was looking for something different to try and I wasn’t in the mood just for a whole case to split. I was impressed on how many variety cases they have and how easy they were to access. The staff helped me make a great choice.“

“I kept hearing good things about Back Alley Beverage so I stopped in. I like how the store was done by style and the displays for the domestics and well known beers. It’s great for a person like me who will drinks craft beer on an and off basis get what I want and not go through the whole store. The staff I cool because they will recommend me new beers to try.“

“Civera’s is a nice local joint that I’ve been going to for years. The selection is nice and always rotates. One really cool thing that makes Civera’s great is the ability to make mix packs or get a bottle or 2 just to try new things. The only suggestion that I have for them is I hope they expand the single bottles to have more options to make mix packs. Outside of the beer, their food is real good if you like sandwiches and salads.“

“Civera’s is a nice little place I go when I need a sandwich and small amounts of beer. I usually make myself a mix pack when I go in to try some beers when I don’t need a case for the weekend. The great thing with the mix packs is that they styles change often which I enjoy. I love how they have bigger bottles which is great so I can split it amongst friends. I like that they are available both cold and warm. The food is great and they have a lot of variety and customizing that you can do.“

“As both a cigar and beer lover I like what the people do at Back Alley Beverage. I like Belgian style beers and some nice Porters since they are great sipping beers. Having the store laid out as they do it makes it easy for me to get my beers for the weekend. I also like the cigar selection that is always changing and the variety they carry. “

“I had heard about this place from a friend of mine so I stopped in while in the area. I was quite amazed for a small place how diverse of a selection they have. While browsing I saw breweries such as Southern Tier, Widmer Brothers, Weyerbacher, Flying Fish just to name a few. I also saw some of the larger single bottles available both cold and warm are great thing to offer.“

“Great place highly recommended! this place takes craft beer to an experience. I like how they use Rate Beer’s ratings and other beer ratings on the shelves as well. Places like this show that they want to be "beer destinations" not just a distributor. One other aspect that sets this apart and makes me a regular customer is the fact that all their crafts and imports are inventoried by style so if you like IPA’s they are all there. Keep up the good work!“

“I stopped in Civera’s to get a mix pack for the week and I find this place a great destination for beer lovers. The selection is quite diverse they have items from Left Hand Brewing to Sam Adams available to make mix packs. They have an frequently changing inventory which is great. I am now a Civera’s regular because of this. They have a nice selection of larger bottles such as Brooklyn Black Ops, Terrapin varieties, Rogue and other hard to find craft and imports. The service is quite friendly and the food is tasty as well.“

“Been going to Back Alley Beverage since the place opened. I live in the area and I’m always looking for new beers to drink. I find that the new store layout is one of the biggest things going. I also enjoy that I know all the happenings from their Newsletters and how informative they are. The nice thing that have for customers like myself are tastings. I was able to get a deal that day on beer that I tasted in the store.“

“Heard about Back Alley Beverage via their newsletter so I stopped in. They had everything laid out by style which was great, because I was looking for a few nice porters and stouts to enjoy and didn’t have to run around the distributor like a nut case. (I was looking for a stout other than Guinness and Murphy’s) I give a big thumbs up to the staff which was very knowledgeable and even showed a few variety cases that had bigger hoppier beers for hop-heads like myself when I’m in the mood for a good IPA or Double IPA. They had an excellent glassware selection, I’m returning there and I’m even going to the place next door for single bottles which was told to me by the gentleman behind the counter. I’m definitely going to be making frequent trips to see what seasonals they have and referring my colleagues who drink craft beer.“

“The 2312 Garrett is a Great Neighborhood spot with 12 taps that are constantly rotated with craft beers you will not find in most craft beer bars. Vince who is a bartender and manager really knows his beers and is a really good guy to talk beer with. Their food is outstanding and they are always experimenting in the kitchen - their menu is really diverse and I have not had a bad thing to eat there.“

“I ran into Civera’s about a few days ago while in the area. The menu was a great and the food was excellent, but what caught my eye was the beer selections. The beers are competitive for pricing as I’ve been to some bottle shops and the prices were too high. They run specials on their beer which I thought was really cool. I liked the fact that they have a nice bottle selection and that they have some rare ones that I wound up getting.“

“Its obviously and old dive bar and the ambiance give that feel soon as you walk in. They are trying to change, and you should never judge a book by it’s cover. Taps routate often with good beers at a fair price. The food is pub grub done with a fine dining twist. For example lamb slider with cucumber, truffle Mac and cheese, both were really good! Staff are friendly knowledgeable, the owner is very visible inspecting the cleanliness of the glasses (lol) and mingling with the patrons. Vince the bartender knows his stuff and will help you in anyway he can. This is a cool place, a place that is in transition, a place going against the norm for the area. Well worth a least one visit.“

“Great place in Drexel Hill! Selection is very good and service couldn’t be better. If you are unfamiliar with all the beer on the shelves the owners will certainly help you pick one out that matches your tastes. Next time you are in put your name on the email list.... but save a case for me ;)“

“Civera’s is a cheesteak/sandwich shop with a small craft beer selection. Despite being small, they do have a nice selection of seasonals, with a few beers from Port, Lost Abbey, 21st Ammendment, the Bruery, and Founders. Great values here as well, as if it is in their selection, then it is typically $2-3 less than other local bottleshops. The cheesesteaks and hoagies are excellent as well!“

“Bad place turned great overnight. Old ownership made this a yellow beer wasteland. I live 2 min from it and would only buy ice when I had a party. WOW, then Chuck and Craig took over and wabamm! Mixed cases, samplings, cigars, etc. Great service, decent prices (PA sucks in general). Best place in the area.“

“Under new management, apparently took over a dying local beer store in early August 2008 (I think). I went to purchase beer for a party and wow!!!! They had all my favorite go to IPA’s (I like WC IPA’s) Ballast point Big Eye, Boulder Mojo, many Stone’s, Greenflash WC IPA among others. Now i don’t have to trek to Shangy’s or even the Beeryard, I got it in my backyard. Craft beer has finally landed in Drexel Hill.“
