“Been here a couple of times while in the area. A good selection: 30 taps. A few are BMC, some ciders, but most are some type of craft beer: a varied selection. The decor is definitely industrial: concrete floors, unfinished ceilings and minimal on the walls. A couple of large TV's behind the bar for sports. The food is pretty good. Both the sandwiches and entrees are good. Service has also been good. Worth checking out.“

“Not a huge fan of the atmosphere. Kind of stark for my taste. 30 taps with a good selection of locals and a few exotics. The pizza was really disappointing but everything else I have had from them has been quite good. Food prices are a touch high. Pint prices are reasonable. Service is average. If you are looking for beer with a decent meal this place and Headkeeper are probably your best choices in Greensburg. The place keeps getting better and is starting to grow on me.“

“The tasting room has improved. They now have 10 taps constantly filled. Prices are ok. No food. Pleasant folks tending the bar. Still not much to look at but a nice stop by for me since I live in this town.“

“You better get used to a shitty selection in the future because once places like Walmart can sell beer in Pa., they will only cater to the big boys of brewing. Places like them and Giant Eagle can take a loss on the beer because they rape you at the deli counter and the meat market. They will put the local beer distributors and six pak shops out of business because they cannot compete. Those little guys are the ones that get the cool and rare brews in the area. However, the prices on Chimay at Giant Eagle are superb. I know, I am a hypocrite, a very drunk hypocrite.“

“Update: 4/7/14. Great ’tapas’ (huge portions rather than light bites) with interesting menu. Tried the calamari with pickled cucumber and chili sauce. Nice tap selection with huge range of bottles.

2007: Stopped here on a mid-afternoon weekday. It’s right next to the Headkeeper (pub), so you can drink anything from the bottle shop there. Prices are a bit high, though you get $1 off per bottle for take-out. Decent selection of micros and imports, with a nice Belgian collection. Not as varied as some of the ’Burgh places, but worth a stop. I didn’t eat here, but I heard the apps were pretty good and large.“

“Ambiance isnt very inviting, very plain white room with wodden tables and 2 big TVs. Service was good and friendly, offered popcorn. Selection is only 4 beers and none very good. Beers relatively cheap but no deal especially for the quality.“

“Their tasting area is still evolving. they recently moved out from in front of the fermenters to a dedicated tasting room. The bar has 4 taps of their beers. Tastes are free, but they can now sell full pints in addition to growlers. A few snack items available to go with the beers. Shirts and hats available also. They have also added a few TV’s to the tasting room. Currently showing a slide show of the building of the brewery. They also have a seating area within sight of the brewing equipment, that includes a few old church pews.“

“Ambience is split between dark and dreary and nice outside patio. Service was quick and friendly, selection was solid but nothing too special. Good selection but a bit pricey. Worth stopping by if around greensburg.“

“Came on an off hour, so did not get the full effect, but I love this place. The brew master served up his creations and we had a great time talking about the place and beers in general. Great folks.“

“I like this place a lot. They have a huge selction of Michigan beers that I love, being from there a good taste of home. Good selection of micros. The manager is really nice and knows what she is talking about. She will even try to order stuff if u request.“

“A decent selection with most of the big names represented as well as some good microbrews . The real attraction though is the prices and the fact that it is conveniently already in a grocery store so you can pick up your beer while doing your regular shopping.“

“The Giant Eagle grocery store in Greensburg that has a bottle shop in the cafe. Service is slow and they know nothing about the beer. Six packs mostly, a few cold bombers and warm bombers. Selection is pretty good for a grocery store with some good micros and Belgians in stock. Prices are great - the best prices in the area.“

“Great restaurant and bottle shop. They’ll let you choose any beer they have in stock to have with your meal....and they have a GREAT selection. The menu is inventive and interesting, with tapas-style meals. Prices are reasonable. The waitstaff is always helpful and friendly. If you go when the weather is nice you can eat outside on the patio.“

“I had the second best meal of my life here! It wa a pairing menu with Garrett Oliver & Brooklyn Brewery. The pairings worked for all five courses and I got Garrett to sign a bottle of Black Chocolate Stout.“

“Nice selection of imports, micros and tap selection is growing, the food is good.as well The only issue is during the colder months it can become to crowded and tight. In the summer, the outside sitting area is money.“

“Excellent beer bar and bottle shop right on 119 in Greensburg. Only about 10 or so taps, but an excellent bottle selection with a few hundred to choose from. The food here is excellent, but can be a bit pricey. Tapas style menu, plates are small but getting 3 (or 4) dishes can make a nice meal for 2 people. I recommend the scallops, no matter how they are prepared, they are always cooked perfectly.“

“I’ve been coming here since it opened and just realized I’ve never reviewed it ! Great use of space, they have an enormous outside patio with a bar, inside there is a large bar downstairs and a small one upstairs three bars for those counting !) Lots of seating outside and inside as well. Beer selection is great, lots of imports and micro’s to choose from, about 600 bottles or so. Food is AMAZING !!! It’s a Tapas style restaurant and everything I’ve had is great. They change the menu up several times a year, so it never gets stale. Once you go, you’ll go back. My favorite restaurant by far !!!“

“A large warehouse beer distributor. Easily the best selection of beer by the case in Greensburg. Beer arena stocks the usual macros and imports but also has a nice selection of high end Belgians, craft brews and tons of PA micros. The prices are slightly high but the selection can not be beat this side of Pittsburgh. The Manager knows her beer and is always bringing in new and interesting things. She has even been willing to special order stuff. Great place for a distributor.“

“This place is a basic pizza/sub shop on one side and a six pack shop on the other. The six pack selection is mediocre but they do have 2 large coolers for mix-n-match. The price on the mixed six packs is the best in town and the best thing is that they do not upcharge for high alcohol beers so the Dogfish 90, Weyerbacher big brews and all impy stouts and such are the same price as the macros. The service is mediocre and the staff know nothing about beer. On tap are only Yuengling and a couple fo macros. The food is decent and fairly inexpensive. I live only a few blocks from here and find it hard not to stop in regularly to put together a six pack. Worth checking out.“

“Dark and open inside this place has a great selection of beer for this side of Pittsburgh. About 8 taps with generally a couple of interesting things and probably 600 bottles. The beer is moderately expensive but a bit cheaper than similar places in Pittsburgh. The food is funky tapas and the menu is constantly changing. The food is good though a bit pricey and some of the portions are rather small. The service is ok and the staff really know their beer. The best craft brew place in Greensburg.“

“Driving by this place you would never think to stop in. It is a non-descript old gray box of a building. Inside you find an absolutely fabulous beer selection. They even have a couple on tap. What makes this place even better in the food. Last night I had some of the best crab cakes I ever had. Others in my group commented on the great taste of their steaks, shrimp and calimari. The prices were reasonable too. The beers are at restaurant prices, which makes them a bit expensive for take out. Blame PA’s archaic beer laws for that one. Update: I can vouch for the fried calamari as being excellent. I have also had some great clam chowder and prosciutto wrapped asparagus there. They also have a large patio for use when it is warmer.“

“Good and higher end bar presentation, great service and knowledgeable staff, great selection, hampered by our master distributor more than anything, but even still one of the most diverse selections in the area. Food is fantastic, beer and food are slightly on the expensive side, but this is one of my two go to shops.“

“The is Greensburg’s version of the Sharp Edge. They are opening a tap room across the parking lot. It will be a great experience. I am originally from Greensburg and this is a shot in the social scene’s arm. The Great Mistake is the hangout for a lot of people in Greensburg, but this place is in a whole new class. There is a great selection of Belgians and craft American brews. The German selection is not up to my standards, but the food is very unique. I would recommend trying this place. If you like high quality beer and believe that "Das Leben ist zu kurz um scheiss Bier zu trinken," then this is the place for you!“
