“From August 17, 2023. Last stop of the night and a great way to end it. Place was packed, although they had room for one more. Trivia was going on which fed the lively vibe. Service was on point despite the crowd. Small storefront location, some sidewalk seating. Had a great time here. Bonus points for the Tom Sturgis cheese pretzels.“

“Located on the strip in West Reading, pretty dead on a Thursday evening. Greeted at the door by three dogs. Friendly service. Decent beers. Pub vibe.“

“Storefront location on this eating strip in West Reading. A few tables on the sidewalk, tables and bar inside, upstairs area too. Funky food menu leveraging Indian cuisine. Good service, taplist takes a Belgian lean. Cool little place.“

“We came here on 26.7.2019. A very unique brewery. Everything is decorated following the Hippie theme (logo, records, T-shirts, etc.). Very detailed oriented and accomplished with a nice taste. A nano brewery is in the back, separated by a door, but visible through a window. Many beers on tap. The main problem here is that, non of their beers is meeting the respective beer style. The IPA’s for instance are far too malty. Hope they are aware and will improve over time.“

“We came here on 26.7.2019. Small brewpub with a few tables outside, located 5 min walking from Brocken Chair. We were sitting at the bar, had a few of their mediocre beers and ate a delicious Pittsburgh Chili which includes noodles. The brewery is behind the restaurant and is not visible. All in all a good place.“

“Stopped here for a few appetizers on a long beer trip. The fried pickles were amazing but you only got three. The pulled pork nachos were good but they gave you an obscene amount of them. Beer was alright, but nothing amazing except maybe the gose.“

“West Reading Tavern is one our favorites. The food is really good and they always have selection of craft beers on tap. The service is always tops and they always seem glad you came. Reservations are recommended for Fridays and Saturdays.“

“I have been coming here for awhile. They have a decent selection of beers, if you ask they will give you recommendations, and they use proper glasswear. Butvthat being said, everyone working there acts like they are either underpaid and/or don’t really want to be there. Very strange attitudes which are not very welcoming. Other than that I like it, but I still don’t feel like I’m a valued customer so I don’t frequent as much as I used to.“

“Really cool place right on the main drag of West Reading. The bar area has that feel of an old English pub with its stained-glass windows and fireplace. The place feels really intimate and relaxing. I have never actually ordered any food during any of my visits here, so I left off the review. The beer selection is really great! I have had many "first samples" of beers at this tavern that I would now call some of my favorites. That list would include several Lagunitas offerings, Firestone, 21st Amd and a few locals that I was unfamiliar with at the time. The bartenders are great, very attentive and quick with a smile and a "you’re welcome." I only mentioned the "you’re welcome" part because you don’t always get that any more these days. Anyway, this is definitely a place to check out if you’re in the area.“

“Can’t believe I haven’t rated this place. I used to hit up Brewer’s all the time when working in the Reading / Exeter area. I moved far enough away a few years ago that I hardly ever get to Brewer’s any more. I was back in the neighborhood this past weekend, in need of a six-pack and stopped in. It obviously made me realize that I should finally submit a rating for the place. It’s a fairly small venue, but has a very good selection of craft beer. They have a bunch of local (southeast PA) micros on draft and in bottles. They also feature an outstanding and expanded selection of bottles in the side room. That’s the place to collect a sixer or three to go. The food isn’t really anything to write home about, but is tasty and gets the job done. The decor definitely screams local sports bar, not that that’s a bad thing. They have plenty of tv’s to watch all the local teams play. The crowd is definitely local, as well, which gives the place its down-home and friendly feel. This is a good alternative to the 3rd & Spruce Cafe, which is a block or so up the street that features some stuffy clientele and a much louder scene.“

“Great place and reasonable prices. The owners are very nice and knowledgeable of all the beers available. During the warmer months enjoy the outside beer garden. There is always something going on so if you are in the area stop by and grab a beer.“

“Stopped by to look for a specific bottle but they sold out. Took a look around but the prices were on the high side for the area. Picked up a local 22oz at a decent price. Very new feel. Cool place to hang but a bit of an awkward layout.“

“Cool place in an up and coming neighborhood. Beers were hit or miss but never bad. Food was pretty good. My meal was paid for so I cannot speak to value. Worth a stop when in the area. There isn’t much else to support a local brewery around.“
