“P line from the central railway station (I line back), head left into the wide open mall area, and it's just tucked away to the right. Lovely quiet environment, no piped music. Really friendly staff. Great beer selection, everything in good condition. 4 x 150ml sampler for 15e. Shame about the remoteness, but this seems to be the Pikkulintu philosophy, give the suburbs a good community pub. Hopefully the shopping centre will provide them with the footfall.“

“In between gate 14A and 15 at Helsinki Airport. Visited 08.06.23 on transfer from Bergen to Budspest. 2 beers from Maku Brewing om tap at my visit, and two on tap from macros. Prices are rather steep, not at least on their pizza slices.“

“Small Japanese-style restaurant inside Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. On transit from Spain to Japan. Found a tiny selection of Finnish and average American craft beers. Extremely pricey just like every other restaurant/bar inside this airport.“

“Small pub that tries hard to give the appearance that you aren't at an airport but instead in an English pub. Manages quite well with it, except for all the luggage and travellers. Decent selection of beer, better than expected for being at an airport. Food consists of sausages and pies. Expensive, but airports tend to be that.“

“Small airport bar located as soon as you come through security at terminal 2. Very wooden interior and a small terrace at the front. Tap and bottles feature a small selection of British, Czech , German, Polish and Finnish brews. Nothing that exciting but not bad for an airport bar. As others have said they don’t come cheap though.“

“Been here plenty of times before, seems never rated it though. Latest visit on Wednesday July 19, 2017. Arrived shortly after 11 am, but it being an airport bar of course plenty of drinkers already. Limited selection of taps and bottles, but better than many airport bars. Some craft available, various styles available. Steep prices, as one may expect. Got a 40 cl pour of a Stallhagen I hadn’t had previously, cost me €8.90. Didn’t check the food menu, if they have one, don’t know. Quite a decent place for layover beer. Located between gate 22 and 23. Some music playing. Not the fastest or friendliest service, but acceptable.

As an airport bar the place is great, as compared to more beer focused bars not located at an airport, it is OK.“

“Not bad for an airport bar. When you’re inside it’s almost cozy, and its wood interior almost makes you forget you’re in an airport, except for the throngs passing by with their luggage. Also has an "outdoor" area which is really indoors. Half a dozen beers on tap but just two local. A few interesting things in bottles. Food is sausages and meat pies. Prices are shocking: beers average 9 Euro. Shots are just 7 Euro. Bizarre. Very friendly staff. I had vouchers since my flight was delayed, which meant I paid just 1 Euro 90 per pint. I can live with that.“

“I visited this place coincidentally on my way from Porttipuisto to the airport. On a Thursday afternoon 5pm the place was full, no seats available. They had a decent selection of Finnish craft beers. Feels like a train station bar more than a pub.“

“English look-alike pub with a lot of wood and of course some oak barrels used for decoration and for tables. You may sit inside or outside at something looking like a roofed porch. A bit funni as you are inside a building. The beer on tap were uninteresting international macros plus 4 Finnish. 3 of them were Lapin Kulta, the last Stallhagen. Did not eat there. A good deal of bottled beer. Girl at the bar was friendly and quick.“

“Quite new place, opened in 2015. Located in "shopping mall" Dixi and it is actually on the bridge which goes over the railroads. Good location as there is no other decent bars around. Tikkurila is connected to airport by train, so this is place where I visit on the way back home from the airport by train. Quite typical "fish restaurant" feeling. Open one room bar. On tap decent rotating selection of micros including Finnish ones. Service is ok and friendly. The worth of stop if you are near. Opens early.“

“An airport pub. Good selection in that sense, I suppose, and the prices aren’t an actual rip-off, just pricey. But not a place I like to go to and usually there isn’t much to drink here.“

“Enjoying a final beer in Finland before my flight. Well I say ’enjoy’ but due to the lack of space - my muscles are tense from being encroached upon in all directions - it is more like ’endure’. It’s a shame, because the Oak Barrel is a really decent and attractive boozer, unlike most airside pubs. Again with the ’British’ thing for some reason though (about 30% of pubs in Finland seem to be ’British’ or ’Irish’), you can get many different UK beers on tap although nothing earth shattering. Of more interest is the lovely hodge-podge of a bottle collection, with beers by Kona, Traquair, lots of Fullers (bottle of ESB for 11 € anyone?) and more than a smattering of Finnish micros. I’d recommend this establishment for all your beery needs before your flight.“

“Small English-style pub in T2. About 5 or 6 taps, all quite safe. Bottle fridge has Ayinger weisse beers, Fullers ESB, Finnish lager (including one fermented with Champagne yeast) and a couple of American craft options. 9.60 a pint, bottles are 8.50. The lady there is helpful & knows the range well. Head a bit further round the corner and the smart-looking wine bar there has a full range of Maku, Leffe and some US bottles.“

“#200 rating! British like pub in Terminal 2, near gate 22. Most taps are boring, but there’s few local micros. Very pricey - I paid 9.6 euro for a pint. Only if you have to kill some time at the airport.“

“(Visited Nov 2014) Actually quite a nice airport pub. The pub itself is quite small, but there’s plenty of seating outside in the airport. Service was friendly and efficient. Can get crowded when it’s rush hour, so there can still be a queue to the bar. Selection is quite good. Of the ten taps, half of them are less interesting, but the remaining half seemed to be guest beers from good micros. Small but interesting bottle selection. Food is mainly sausages and snacks. As usual with airport pubs, however, prices are quite high. Worth a visit if you have some time to kill at Helsinki airport.“

“10 taps and a well selected bottled menu, about 30, some of them from Finnish micros, Fullers and Brooklyn. British look-alike, corner pub located at terminal T2, close to gate 22 and a duty free store. The “outdoor seating” was much airier and comfortable than inside. Knowledgeable service with recommendations and spontaneous offering of tasters. I ended up with a pint of Suomenlinnan Piper Wit freshly served from tap and listening to the music of Kate Bush while waiting for my plane back to Norway (visited early on a Monday, 18.08.2014).“

“This is actually a descent Airport Pub given the selection of beers. I only had one beer duirng my visit on a Tuesday afternoon in April 2014, a Stallhagen IPA2. (a pint cost 9.60 EUR) The place is a bit dark and not that big, it seems to be a popular and crowded place at least during the afternoon rush at HEL Airport. The service was friendly and fast, and yes, the bartender tried to sell me a Jägermeister. ( I don’t drink that kind of junk)“

“Possibly the best airport pub I have been too. Makes you feel that you’re in a pub and not at an airport. Quite decent selection to given it’s location. Got a chance a try a few more Finnish micros before I left. Friendly, but a bit pushy staff, but a quite relaxed atomsphere. Nice place to kill some time at the airport.“

“Centrally located pub in the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport Terminal 2. The beer selection is most surprisingly good for an airport pub and includes both international classics and brews from domestic small breweries, such as Stallhagen. Quite expensive even on the Finnish scale, but not particularly expensive in the airport scale. The way the staff tries to sell Schapps as a compliment to beer is plain pushy. They seem generally more interested in selling things than actually serving the customer.“

“The airport pub of Helsinki-Vantaa airport. For an airport- pub, a very wide selection of beers, and the only place in Finland I know that has Beamish on tap. You will not find rarities, but at least one example of every popular style. English-pub- feeling. Happy on-vacation customers. Fond memories.“

“Well for an airport bar, one after the security checks, this is fairly bizarre and with a very broad and interesting range (Traquair House Ale??). Not much different pricewise from Helsinki itself.“

“As said, this is an obvious spot for beer lover at Helsinki Airport. As bars at the airports are usually very poor, this qualifies as one of the best in the world. Yes, there is not much competition. They have 10ish taps and 20+ bottles. Decent selection, Orkney, Sierra Nevada, Fullers, Ayinger but sometimes you can get some Finnish micro on tap (Stallhagen, Teerenpeli). Bartenders usually try to sell you extra schnapps or wurts.“

“Obvious place to stop by when at Helsinki Airport. Small selection of regional and international draught and bottled beers. No decent food though and rather high prices. Ok service. Taking into account it is on the airport I would say it is ok.“

“Nice airport pub. Classic British beers such as Fuller’s London Porter and some not-so-known Finnish beers as well. Prices were really high, 8.50 euros for London Porter for example. Lefebvre Floreffe Blonde and Dubbel were there as well and they weren’t that pricey (7.10 euros per bottle).
Service was good but I didn’t like how they tried to sell schnapps and peanuts with the beer. Other than that no problems. This is the place to drink beer at Hki-Vantaa airport.“

“Of all the airport bars in the world that I’ve been to this is probably the nicest to drink at. It’s quite a pleasant little bar, cosy and finished in dark wood. Beer selection has no real gems, but a whole bunch of classics in different styles, and if nothing inspires you - grab a whisky. More recently (2019), I did grab 3 ticks, but I hadn't been to Finland for several months. It's also expanded, so you can sit facing the planes if you want (and has usb sockets for charging).“

“My rating may be skewed, as I travelled an hour and a half just for a pint of a single Fullers beer, and when I got there it was absolutely divine! Alas served a little cold, but only out of necessity. Looks like a food place more than a pub - neatly arranged and set tables. However, with a big telly on one wall the locals all cluster around that one side of the pub. Very friendly staff. Just a shame it’s a bit remote. Rekola is 25 minutes from Helsinki train station on K, N, or T lines, and from the train station leave to the right and head back in the direction you came from on the road, not the footpath. After 3 minutes you’ll hit a junction and see it on your left.“
