“This is my go-to Bottle shop. And it isn’t my closest option! We love their tastings, and have found new staples we love to stock at the house that we’d never have tried otherwise. We have also tasted some things we thought we’d like, and found we saved ourselves a disappointment! We love dealing with the helpful staff, Who give opinions instead of trying to push inventory. What a refreshing experience after dealing with some other places! Stop on by, and check their Facebook page! Send them a message, ask a question, suggest a product, and you’ll be customer serviced!“

“Interior is fairly open, but subdued lighting gives it a cozy feel. They have plenty of seating, a couple pool tables, and a small bar. Tap selection emphasizes Texas craft brews. Servers make you feel welcome, and are helpful about finding a good beer to try. I didn’t get a chance to sample their food as the food truck was shut down, but I’m sure it’s at least decent.“

“Interior is divided into sections so it offers plenty of space but a cozy atmosphere, especially if you sit at the bar. Food is good, if not outstanding. They have only a few beers on tap, but all are crafts, and they showcase not only their own offerings but other Texas craft beers. Servers are helpful and make you feel welcome. Stop in if you have the chance.“

“Holy Cow! Finally! Not only did Abilene *finally* get a decent craft beer bar but it is within walking distance of my mother-in-law’s house. There *is* a God! Roughly 25 beers on tap and maybe 60 in bottles. Probably 25% of the taps are Dallas/Fort Worth beers with the other 75% being well known national and foreign craft beers. Prices are very reasonable at $5 and $6 for most beers. The menu was only a page of basic items but that’s all you really need. The only real complaint is that they also serve Bud/Miller/Coors and there were a few cement heads in here drinking that cheap swill and acting like idiots. Apparently they didn’t realize there are *many* other places in town where they could drink that shit for much cheaper.“

“Nice setting in historic part of town. Only four of their own beers on tap. I tried all 4 and would not get any of those again. Stick with the three guest taps.“

“A small brewery and restaurant with an antique atmosphere. Four house brews on tap and probably ten others available on tap or bottle.“

“They have a small selection of craft beer but are ready to fill orders for special requests. The owner has a bit of knowledge on beers but is more into the wine he sells. Being a liquor store hey only have a small table and cooler set aside for beer but it is the best selection in town. If you don’t feel like going to the bigger cities in the area then this is a good place to shop at.“

“The atmosphere seems to try to pull from the historical building that it’s housed in, and it does this mildly well. The seating arrangement is widespread so you are not crammed for room and the bar area has plenty of seating but nothing really at the bar itself. The service is actually very helpful without being pushy and ready to answer any questions. They only have four of their brews on tap and have a mildly wide selection of craft beers in bottles. It isn’t a great selection but it is best in the area. The food is pretty good if a bit under seasoned for whatever reason. They are big into the presentation of the food more than the utility of the meal. The cost is a bit high and the food and beer isn’t amazing so you feel more like you’re paying for the setting and service than the actual food or beer. You can find better places in bigger cities but this is the best that Abilene has to offer.“

“Best place to get beer in Abilene, without competition. Lots of fancy pants stuff like Maredsous, Ommegang and North Coast. Not the best selection Ive seen, but it does hold you over until you can get to Ft Worth.“

“Expensive restaurant setting with friendly staff. However, the beer is very ho-hum, and only 4 on tap. Typical easy to find craft beer bottles also available. Not worth returning.“

“Located in downtown Abilene. I came here around 7:30 pm during the middle of the week. Looks kind of like a seafood restaurant with patterned carpeted floor, and woodworked walls. Large rectangular dining room and tables with white cloth. My immediate thought was that this place doesn’t really know what it wants to be. The clientele was older almost "church crowd" looking folks. I had the sampler, some fish, desert, and a salad. Everything was overpriced and weak on taste. The beers were very poor as well. If this place is a culinary destination, that speaks poorly of west Texas. Service was friendly and prompt...I will say that.“

“Hooray for the non metro. Thanks to the previous rater for all his helpful information. It’s a liquor store.... you don’t say? It’s south of the mall ....wrong it’s north, Magellan. Oh and on to the rare beers. Nothing special, few Dogfish, some Unibroue, few of the decent German 500ml offerings, and the St. Bernardus four pack and Orvals I picked up. Orval’s have two years age on them which is the sweet spot in my opinion. The owner is really nice and somewhat knowledgeable, I chatted with him for a bit. It’s possible this IS in fact the best beer store Abilene has. In the mean time I’ll keep bringing my cooler to Dallas on the weekends. Please excuse my sassy arrogance today.“

“H&H isnt a bar, but a liqour store. Its south of the mall. If you live in Abilene Texas, H&H beverage is your spot to find rare beer. They have tons of rare beers, and just about the only place in town youre going to find a selection like this. I was so suprised to see their stock. Good staff. The owner has a restraunt next door, and works the place himself time to time. He is a beer drinker, so he goes out of his way to specialize in hard to find beer. I even take my beer almanac in there to read up on some of their more exotic offerings.“
